Hi all
In a bit of shock but need some opinions!
So for the past few days ive had some leaking of colostrum type liquid both breasts, I'm 39 and have had 5 kids , new partner of 3 years no contraception ; he couldn't have children! Well after the leaking came these rolling movements in my upper abdomen between my belly bottom and my ribs on the right side , i videoed it to see if it was visible and it was ! I phoned the GP who was very dismissive and then said well just take a test, wouldn't see me to examine due to covid . Done a clearblue digital and it says pregnant 1 to 2
With the movement and leaking could I be further along? I have had light but regular periods for months I track them using the clue app. Thanks x
@Mysa74 brave friends you have, asking that!
First was a complete stranger, second was a good friend who was pregnant herself. She said she only asked because I m usually really slim with hips and a waist and while I didn't look any different in front my waist from behind had vanished. No symptoms at all. It was really odd, day after the scan my tummy popped out! I was really worried as I'd been working with chemotherapy and hospital clean room disinfectants every day and that's a definite no-no if you're so much as trying to conceive.

Peacemaking, congratulations op Smile

Charlottejade89 · 01/11/2020 08:58

placemarking, ffs auto correct lol

Takingontheundead · 01/11/2020 09:01

Yes ring and explain. The private place will scan you. Be amazed if they refuse!

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 01/11/2020 09:04

How exciting OP! Wonder how far along you are?!!

squee123 · 01/11/2020 09:12

I've had private scans and they've never been bothered about the notes. I would just book an appointment and rock up. At least doing it privately your DP can be there

Westiegirl3 · 01/11/2020 09:21

Oh how exciting, I just book a private scan they won't turn you away when you arrive

waitrosetrollydolly · 01/11/2020 09:22

Ahhh lovely news for you all !

browny1981 · 02/11/2020 16:06

Hi all not good news im afraid:(
Got a positive on a clearblue digital and then on Sat night excruciating pain , went to a and e , doctor REFUSED to examine me !!!! Said there's no way I can be pregnant if my last bleeding was a month ago i tried and tried to make him listen, he took a urine sample and said he'd send it off (he didnt ) and dipped it and said I had a bad UTI lots of white cells, after much argument he agreed to take bloods for hcg.
Bloods came back at only 16ml/u.
Gave me.some antibiotics that I googled and tbey weren't suitable for pregnancy so I didn't take them and telephoned doctors again today and begged for a consultation, refused again, given antibiotics but still in agony and have tested negative now on a clearblue digital, the reason for refusal to see me is covid so noone has actually seen me apart from the a and e doctor who was rude and dismissive and told me if I was early pg it would either progress or it would come away and to go home and take paracetamol, no bleeding as yet and heads all over the place just burts into tears looking at a box of pregnacare I got, so confused disheartend and just want this to be over tbh, i still have no idea what happened or how pregnant I was but a hcg level of 16 is really low so obv not viable, anyone with previous exp know when I should expect to bleed ? Ty all xxx

I'm so sorry OP :( I don't have any advice just didn't want to read and run. Sending you lots of love xx

Inkpaperstars · 02/11/2020 16:35

I'm so sorry OP, for you and your DH. I'm outraged at the lack of medical care you are getting.

I know it absolutely should not come to this but if in the end you need to and can access the funds you could contact a private GP or have a virtual consult online with doctor care anywhere, they can send prescriptions. Alternatively could you ring a local EPU for advice. Otherwise try the GP and A and E again if needed, the infection sounds horrible. So sorry. You shouldn't have to push so hard for care at such a time.

justchecking1 · 02/11/2020 16:40

Oh OP I'm so sorry

I hate to make a bad situation worse but you need to be seen. Excruciating pain in early pregnancy might be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. How have they ruled that out if they haven't seen you?!

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 02/11/2020 18:29

OP this is outrageous care, although not surprising because pregnant women are treated appallingly at the best of times. If you have access to funds as pp said could you get private scan to put your mind at ease?

Namechangedforthisoct2 · 04/11/2020 07:37

That’s appalling! Just as a comparison (I’m also in the UK), I was experiencing pain and other strange symptoms and am 7 weeks pregnant- they advised me either A&E same day or next day scan at EPU. This happened yesterday (all is ok) - how they can not examine you is beyond me!
I’m so sorry for the lack of care, can you google and ring your local EPU centre?

JamminDoughnuts · 04/11/2020 07:43

Nottherealslimshady · 04/11/2020 08:03

I'm so sorry OP. Miscarriage care is truly shit at the moment and it's not acceptable.

I'm concerned about the pain though, it could be a sign of an ectopic, which also have low hcg, can you ring your EPU?

Is this the negative test? As I can see a second line. Sorry I don't want to be the one here to give you false hope but is there a possibility you are pregnant still? Your treatment so far has been shocking so hopefully the blood tests can give you more answers.
