Hi all
In a bit of shock but need some opinions!
So for the past few days ive had some leaking of colostrum type liquid both breasts, I'm 39 and have had 5 kids , new partner of 3 years no contraception ; he couldn't have children! Well after the leaking came these rolling movements in my upper abdomen between my belly bottom and my ribs on the right side , i videoed it to see if it was visible and it was ! I phoned the GP who was very dismissive and then said well just take a test, wouldn't see me to examine due to covid . Done a clearblue digital and it says pregnant 1 to 2
With the movement and leaking could I be further along? I have had light but regular periods for months I track them using the clue app. Thanks x

Ooh shamelessly place marking, I love these threads!
Congrats Flowers

PinkiOcelot · 29/10/2020 21:22

Wow congratulations OP.
Bet your DH is over the moon.

mineofuselessinformation · 29/10/2020 21:25

Have a feel of your abdomen- you should know from your experience of being pregnant before what to do.
Can you feel the top of your uterus?
If you can, that would be a massive clue.

BlueSuffragette · 29/10/2020 21:27

Congratulations OP, how exciting. Best of luck Flowers

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and can't feel the top of my uterus. Should I by now?

I'm in a pregnancy group and people feel baby as early as 10 weeks when they've already had a few. Definitely dont think you're 2 weeks, those date predictors aren't very accurate.
Congratulations!

marthastew · 29/10/2020 21:44

How exciting. I only found out I was pregnant with my third at 20 weeks when I felt a little foot kick me at work. I felt like such an idiot but all the midwives just thought it was funny. I had something like 'late booking' written all over my notes.

latheritup · 29/10/2020 21:45

Also here for scan news GrinGrin

SarahSinuses · 29/10/2020 21:46

Following with interest! Grin

I have an umbilical hernia and diastasis rect( separation of abdominal wall muscle) so it's hard to "feel" for myself I have tried feeling for my cervix and did feel a hard ball but when I got my period on time every month I just didn't let it cross my mind I thought I was symptom spotting and I feel like I've been so daft! Its driving me crazy now I want to know and will of course update when I find out! I have read so many threads and no outcome it's soooo frustrating ! My fear is now I'll get my period as normal and keep panicking but i just want the scan to be done then we know where we're at ! Hope rhey don't keep me ages waiting ill have to go alone aswell as I'm on tier 3 restrictions :(((

Commenting purely so I get the updates. Congrats OP!

BendingSpoons · 29/10/2020 21:53

To outwardly see movement, not just feel flutters inside, I would think you must be quite far along, a fair bit past 20 weeks I would have thought? Probably getting on for third trimester. Congratulations and hope all goes well.

Happyface120 · 29/10/2020 21:54

How exciting! I am a sonographer, and have scanned a couple of women who were 30+ weeks pregnant and had no idea! You will make your sonographer's day Grin They won't think you're daft- these scans make our day 😂

Subordinateclause · 29/10/2020 21:54

Hope the scan date comes through quickly for you.

Maybe, maybe not. It’s borderline at 11 weeks I think. It’s tucked in behind your pubic bone for most of the first trimester.

TurquoiseDress · 29/10/2020 21:55

Oh wow congrats!
Am intrigued to know how far along you are!

Crunchymum · 29/10/2020 21:58

Google the Hook Effect.

The more HcG you have (IE the more pregnant you are) the less effective pregnancy tests are - they are designed to pick up certain low levels of HcG so won't be as effective or even give a positive at all in later pregnancy.

Congratulations Flowers

OhioOhioOhio · 29/10/2020 21:58

Wow. Is it wrong to be most interested in how you have 5 kids and a partner? I have 3 and can't imagine.

lalafafa · 29/10/2020 22:04

Shameless place marking

BlenheimOrange · 29/10/2020 22:08

I got leaky boobs at about 6 weeks, so you could still be v early. They stopped a few weeks later fortunately.

Namechange1234589 · 29/10/2020 22:10

Wow congratulations!! Looking forward to an update once you've had your scan :)

kkLeeNex · 29/10/2020 22:15

Bluebunny123 · 29/10/2020 22:19

PepsiLola · 29/10/2020 22:20

Congratulations
