What companies have given you really good service recently?

Prompted by the thread about companies using covid as an excuse for poor service.

I'll start with Wellocks at Home. They deliver fruit and veg boxes etc. A couple of weeks ago they accidentally delivered my box to the wrong address. When I phoned to ask where it was a very helpful and friendly lady eventually worked out what had happened, apologised, refunded me and arranged for another box to be delivered - it was there in the porch before breakfast. They may have made a mistake but they put it right so well I didn't mind

Sorry didn't meant to put this in AIBU but please humour me anyway Grin

One hundred stars. My go to birthday gift shop, excellent.
Amazon have been good

TheQueef · 26/08/2020 14:55

Oh!
Our local welldrakes chemist have been hero's with Ddad meds.
Really 🌟

LauraAshleySofa · 26/08/2020 14:58

I have taken my children to lush twice in the last month to pick birthday gifts, on each occasion we were treated really well, given products to smell and sample and just generally given 'service'. It was a lovely experience.

TheQueef · 26/08/2020 15:03

Good to hear praise for Lush, maybe social distancing has solved the main complaint.

The80sweregreat · 26/08/2020 15:06

Wickes did a smashing job of our kitchen before Christmas. Nice and polite workmen who didn't mess about and did a good job for us. Had a few issues since that were solved straight away.

TheQueef · 26/08/2020 15:14

Dead to me that Wickes!
I was thrown out of our local one at the start of shop openings Blush full on car park row and everything!
So embarrassed.

The80sweregreat · 26/08/2020 15:16

Why were you thrown out of Wickes?

LunaNorth · 26/08/2020 15:19

Coquet Holiday Cottages, Northumberland. Best customer service I’ve received in over 20 years of self-catering holidays.

fourquenelles · 26/08/2020 15:20

AO.com. Needed to replace my cooker. Very good prices and delivered when they said they would by efficient and friendly people. They also came back a week later to take my old cooker away for recycling without charge even though I had refused that service initially (was hoping my local scrap man would swing by and take it).

stayathomer · 26/08/2020 15:25

Our local pet shop, book shop and school uniform shop. Horrendously I hadn't used any of them before as had always bought from chains but decided to shop local due to covid. Came down with covid after I'd ordered from them all to collect and dh rang to say we wouldnt be in for a few weeks. Got a gift token from the book shop, some free toys from pet shop and a letter from the uniform shop telling me they hoped I got better soon. Went on Facebook and raved about them all and a few people have started shopping in each so I'm thrilled. People can be great!!!!

Second for AO.com, bought a new TV for my Dad. I went over to set it up and the screen was completely shattered (not visible until powered on). Phoned up having sent a photo, immediate reaction we will replace it was sent next day. In argument over you should have checked the box etc very impressed

TheQueef · 26/08/2020 15:27

I didn't do the slalom for the empty queue. I ducked under the barrier. Then it escalated because I did the one way wrong, didn't fully explain that I needed paint and a piece for the ballcock in the lav 80's then I accidentally stood in front of the exit where the assistant told me to stand.
They went full on nuclear.
Carnage.
I thought I was in for fisticuffs, I scarpered.

teaflake · 26/08/2020 15:27

Amazon ♥️

AGoldenHour · 26/08/2020 15:28

And MilkandMore ♥️ and Asda. ♥️

TheQueef · 26/08/2020 15:29

Must admit A.O. do a good delivery.

AutumnLeavesSeptember · 26/08/2020 15:31

Patch plants. I ordered a Kentia Palm and saw it had little yellow spots appearing on the leaves so I raised a plant care ticket (thinking I had done something terrible and killed it). They sent me a new one immediately without me even asking, and I also got to keep the old one (which is still fine, if a little dotty).

AutumnLeavesSeptember · 26/08/2020 15:32

LOL at being thrown out of Wickes! That is such a 2020 lockdown story.

squashyhat · 26/08/2020 15:34

I know they get a lot of stick but Currys/PC world. My vacuum cleaner died on Sunday. I went online the same afternoon, bought a new one and arranged for it to be delivered the next day. My address is hard to find and I had given no additional instructions but they kept in touch and it turned up exactly when they said it would with no fuss.

incognitomum · 26/08/2020 15:35

JD Williams. Ordered a chest freezer from them. Excellent communication and delivery.

SallySolardel · 26/08/2020 15:36

Gato. They do gluten free sandwich biscuits (like oreo but different flavours). Mine arrived damaged, so they instantly replaced them and were so friendly in their email.

The80sweregreat · 26/08/2020 15:38

The queef, that story had made my day and it's true, it's a sad tale of over zealous assistants and the madness of lockdown 2020! 😀

Laiste · 26/08/2020 15:40

Wayfair. The furniture website.

Twice recently we have ordered from them and both times the items have arrived within 24 hours (free delivery) and been exactly as described.

Lush - i was gifted some soap in the Milton Keynes store a couple of weeks ago by an assistant. Rockstar is being discontinued :( and i was so upset upon receiving this news he went and fetched the last lump of it that they had 'round the back'. He told me to wait there, wrapped it and pressed it into my hand and said ''for you'' :) :)

pinkgin85 · 26/08/2020 15:42

Way fair! I ordered a very expensive staub ceramic wok that arrived with the lid not aligning to the pot properly. Instead of asking me to send it back they told me to keep that one and sent me a brand new one too Smile

Persephonee · 26/08/2020 15:43

Spire Hospitals - or at least the one I visited today. Organised and helpful in these weird times.
