(LIGHT HEARTED)

Just that really.

I think my favourite was fairly recently - CV related and one of the first responses to was “You dh is literally trying to kill you” (along the lines of not wearing a mask in the shops).

OP posts:

Love this thread. Just what I needed Grin

ReginaaPhalange · 09/07/2020 00:11

"My husband is really unwell in bed today so I won't be online much as I need to deal with the kids homeschooling. DH usually deals with that as I run a business from home, but he's really ill" typical response being LTB!!! 🙄🙄

Legoandloldolls · 09/07/2020 00:13

@lemondrizzlehedgehog I live near a donkey sanctuary and the amount of toddlers who run in with a big stick screaming "pinata! Pinata!" Is alarmingly high. It's a serious and proven link. 😉

The sea monkeys thread - oh my days! I honestly wish I could explode with pure rage and injustice as such non events. But alas, my mind is full of other fluff it seems.

Some threads make me wonder if I'm emotionally dead inside as I just cant feel that depth of hysteria at 99.9% of posts. I can only muster a eye roll and raised eyebrows. Must try harder

I can’t do that clever cut and paste thing but OMG that corporate event sounds horrific!
What sort of person thought it was a good idea.
Bit late, but here you go Flowers

I would scream in sheer horror at this outrage but my DS Balonz has jsut informed me there is an elderly Korean lady in my garden just not leaving, (I think she staring at the couple having sex in my hedge or lsitening to the neighbour shout at his wife in their hot tub that her minge is showing) and I am preganant with Twins at the same time as trying to make a lemon drizzle cake for a school cake sale whislt at the same time screaming at the Michelangelo about my wedding in Maui. So am afraid I just haven't many spoons left over for ANY level at outrage.

Annoyingly I can't see it!

PablosHoney · 09/07/2020 07:46

That particular poster was rampaging around at 3am getting deleted on every thread 😂 I don’t know what it said either.

mrsBtheparker · 09/07/2020 08:39

When I read that some people are 'literally dying' I always wonder if one can die any other way, like pretend dying, imaginary dying.
This thread has restored my faith in reasonable people, some wrote a few pages back that 50% are lying, I think that's a massive underestimation!

Coronabegone · 09/07/2020 09:50

@PablosHoney it was a link to a porn website 🙄

Shoppingwithmother · 09/07/2020 09:52

I came on to say the sea monkeys as well - an instant classic

mrsBtheparker · 09/07/2020 10:44

I'm amazed at the things people on MN assume the police have time to deal with.

They must watch a lot of Judge Judy where the police seem willing/able to deal with everything, they'll accompany you to collect your 90inch \tv from your ex's house for example. Love to see how far you'd get here with that request.

ScrambledSmegs · 09/07/2020 10:58

@mrsBtheparker Judge Judy is American, isn't she? Fun fact - thanks to capitalism the police probably will go to collect your tv from your ex's house. They'll just bill you more than the cost of the tv for it.

A friend of ours was in a motor bike accident in California several years ago, he said the worst bit about it was trying to sort out payment of the bills from the paramedics, the fire service, the sheriff, the air ambulance... When you call 911 in the US, apparently you don't (as we do) request the most appropriate emergency response - they send them all!

That's got naff all to do with this thread though Grin

The op wrote someone was using her outdoor tap, another poster suggested she not get a tap lock incase a homeless person was thirsty.

pictish · 09/07/2020 11:28

It was the postie who was using the tap to refill his water bottle.
Some people actually had a problem with this. It’s stealing apparently.

Russellbrandshair · 09/07/2020 11:31

I thought it was a window cleaner who was using the OPs outside tap to clean the whole streets windows? I remember that thread. People told the OP they shouldn’t put a tap lock on “just in case” a homeless man needed water 😆
The point was the window cleaner hadn’t even asked if it was ok and I wouldn’t be ok with my water being used to wash the windows of the entire street!

pictish · 09/07/2020 11:39

Must have been different threads. I remember the one I refer to...definitely a postie filling his water bottle.
I remember thinking that if I ever become the sort of arsehole to grudge the postie a drink of water, drown me with the sodding tap.

I wouldn't begrudge anybody a drink. I'd be pissed off if they kept leaving the tap on though. That's totally unnecessary and if you're on a meter would cost money (yours may be a different thread though).

But nobody said the postie did that @NoWordForFluffy so why the fuck did you mention it?

Because I wasn't fucking sure if it was the fucking thread where the fucking tap was left on. Hence saying I wasn't sure if it was the same fucking thread. Alright?!

I thought it was a fox? Grin
NoWordForFluffy · 09/07/2020 20:52

Foxes are pretty cunning. Opposable thumbs though?! 🦊 🦊 💦 💦

Withthemonsters · 09/07/2020 20:56

@BlingLoving

Theres a thread running where a 14 year old dd has money from unknown source in her bank account. Obviously v concerning. But the screeched about gettingnpokice involved immediately, take her to police station etc shows a complete lack of reasonableness. I mean, it may wel come to that but the level of hysteria ans lack of understanding of what police will prioritise.....
And when she did phone the police the day after they told her they wouldn't be investigating it Grin

Well maybe they're pet fucking foxes belonging to the fucking postman or the cheeky fucking window cleaner or the homeless guy that someone is leaving a fucking ham sandwich for. Jeez, talk about splitting fucking hairs. Happy Fucking Thursday!
