(LIGHT HEARTED)

Just that really.

I think my favourite was fairly recently - CV related and one of the first responses to was “You dh is literally trying to kill you” (along the lines of not wearing a mask in the shops).

OP posts:

@locked2020 Rubber gioves?

locked2020 · 03/07/2020 22:57

@lamazoon. Thanks! I put bleach down before using brush so I've been giving myself extra work all this time. I should have been brave enough to ask previously.

nolongersurprised · 03/07/2020 23:02

My favourite was one where the OP had a morning of relaxation - long bath, blow drying hair etc. Her DH took the kids out to swimming lessons, gave them lunch and heated up leftovers for himself. She hadn’t heard them come in because of the blow drying but was put out to come downstairs and find he hadn’t made her food as well.

Some posters were all, “this is a red flag” and ltb over it.

And the fish troll, who used to write about going to visit aquariums with a friend or relative who would become aroused.

Wtf

MrsAvocet · 03/07/2020 23:20

And a plimsoll/slip on shoe troll, who I think I have seen on every parenting forum I have ever looked at at some point. Bizarre.Confused

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/07/2020 00:06

Oh yes, I remember the plimsoll troll.
Luckily for me I missed the fish troll, just like WTF?HmmConfused

Hilarious! Gutted I missed those. Clearly I need to get a life. Poor Nemo.

Some of the teacher vs parent stuff is getting absolutely ridiculous. There's a recent thread by a mother saying she's at the end of her tether with homeschooling, didn't blame or even mention teachers, and the teacher clique all popped in at once accusing her of teacher bashing. Absurd.

RyanBergarasTeeth · 04/07/2020 01:33

Oh the hysterical threads berating women for daring ttc during the pandemic and how we should hold off trying for at least a year or not bother having children at all because after all its selfish. (but its ok because they were smart enough to have children before the pandemic)

Blursula · 04/07/2020 01:58

The baby name threads have some great responses. OP recently asked for suggestions for a brother for Everest and basically got told that she should be reported to social services.

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/07/2020 02:15

A lot of the baby names ones are made up crap, at least I hope so.
Balonz anyone?Wink

NoMoreReluctantCustodians · 04/07/2020 06:26

Not the most OTT but recent one was that fat people ought to be ashamed.of getting fat Grin

Um, no. Not ashamed

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/07/2020 06:33

The one right now about beibg a second wife, and someone asks if its polygamy Grin

KatherineJaneway · 04/07/2020 06:52

The ones that tell op it's none of their business.

My step daughter is 15 doing drugs and prostituting herself, please help.

None of your business OP, leave it to the parents.

KatherineJaneway · 04/07/2020 06:54

Oh, and the one where someone told me milk and bread are not essentials at the beginning of lockdown so I shouldn't shop for them.

They are in my house love 🤣

itchyfinger · 04/07/2020 07:05

I once had a (LIGHTHEARTED!) Moan about my FIL and the fact he always insisted on meeting us in restaurants, meaning DH & I would have to spend every monthly meet up with him tackling our very lively 2 year old twins - tantrums, food everywhere, bolting etc, while FIL sat there having a lovely meal and glass of wine. I still remember the batshit responses.

One poster replied that if I cant handle taking my toddlers to restaurants then obviously I'm not fit to be a mum, and another said we needed to go NC with FIL as he was going to give the kids food issues. I ended up feeling really guilty as FiL is actually really lovely and a great grandfather, it was just this one annoyance I had with him.

MarthasGinYard · 04/07/2020 07:12

Cows milk is for baby cows Grin

MarthasGinYard · 04/07/2020 07:14

And all the

'999 NOW'

For a possible ingrown toenail

ElizabethMainwaring · 04/07/2020 07:18

This morning.
Opening poster wants to hear experiences of 'being the second wife'.

First reply: 'What?! As in polygamy?'
Hmm

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 04/07/2020 07:23

There was a thread a little earlier on in lockdown where one of the posters said if lockdown was eased , people would start " running wild" in shopping malls and soft play centres. I must have had the devil in me that day because I said I was going to start running wild in shopping centres the moment I can ( it was tongue in cheek!)
The deluge of outrage was hilarious, the usual that I'm killing people etc !

ThroughThoroughThoughTough · 04/07/2020 08:10

I have occasionally dipped in to the horsey threads. They give the dog owners a good run for their money.

Also the walking in the countryside ones - the range is from everywhere to never. With very little of the sensible middle ground (on a footpath, making a judgement about cattle in the way).

ShebaShimmyShake · 04/07/2020 08:15

@MarthasGinYard

Cows milk is for baby cows Grin
I'm not vegan, but isn't this true?
MarthasGinYard · 04/07/2020 08:25

Of course it's true

derxa · 04/07/2020 08:28

baby cows They're called calves. They can be either male or female

ShebaShimmyShake · 04/07/2020 08:29

I don't understand what's OTT about it?
