Dream house

quandry101 · 30/05/2020 13:28

Never thought I’d recommend this - The Human Centipede - still leaves me feeling disturbed seven years after watching it

tigerwhocametoT · 30/05/2020 13:30

Elizabeth Harvest on Netflix. One of the weirdest film I've seen.

RosiePoseyPanda · 30/05/2020 13:30

I watched Blackfish when I was about 38 weeks pregnant. I say watched, I only got about 15 minutes in to the bit where they’re splitting off the baby whale from the rest of the pod and the adult whales are trying to circle the boat the stop it being captured and taken to sea world. I had to switch it off and cried the rest of the afternoon. My husband came home to find me crying hysterically on the sofa. It has stayed with me for years.

Doyoumind · 30/05/2020 13:32

Yes to A Field in England. That is a very weird film.

Also Enter the Void.

IntermittentParps · 30/05/2020 13:33

Along the lines of upsetting films about children... For Sama. Sad, yes, but important IMO, and it's uplifting as well because it's about the human spirit. It has really stayed with me (watched it maybe 6 months ago).

KateF · 30/05/2020 13:33

The Hunger Games. Children killing children, haunted me for days.

ovener · 30/05/2020 13:37

Synecdoche, New York

Optimist1 · 30/05/2020 13:37

Brexit : The Uncivil War (currently on Netflix)

Regardless of your feelings about the referendum and its result, this film shows that behind the scenes there's a lot of manipulation going on in the political arena worldwide. Stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Durham Dom!

ToothFairyNemesis · 30/05/2020 13:37

The Machinist.

Mammyloveswine · 30/05/2020 13:38

Seen people recommend the platform..it's crap!

I was so disappointed!

middleager · 30/05/2020 13:40

The Babadook is also recommended by me.

Furries · 30/05/2020 13:41

American History X - Edward Norton is fantastic in it
Primal Fear
Hostel
Jigsaw - the first one, the numerous sequels don’t have the same impact

grumpygiraffe · 30/05/2020 13:42

The Baby of Macon is both beautiful and horrific.

Thurmanmurman · 30/05/2020 13:43

Harry Brown
Dolores Claiborne

TheSandgroper · 30/05/2020 13:44

Yes to Bad Boy Bubby but, 30 odd years later, just the memory of Once Were Warriors disturbs me.

frogsbreath · 30/05/2020 13:45

The Road. There's one scene which I found so unsettling it's taken me years to get rid of the nightmares!

DH does say I'm too sensitive though

TurquoiseDress · 30/05/2020 13:46

Sinister

I was disturbed for some time afterwards as opposed to unsettled!
