I am in need of films that will actually keep me engaged and take my mind off my life at the moment, nice rom coms don't cut it right now! So please send your list of weird/disturbing/unsettling films my way

Dead Man Walking. The only film that's ever given me nightmares.

I watched a film called Fractured on Netflix recently, it really really freaked me out. It's not a particularly standout film (in my opinion) so I don't know why it's affecting me this much!

Melancholia. Decidedly odd, and a bit arty, but it makes sense after you've watched it.

Get out and It Follows
Watched It Follows on iplayer and it is scary...

The Orphanage, a Spanish film. Frightening, melancholy. Glorious rugged coastal scenery.

The Lighthouse. Fucking nuts. Gruesome in parts, uncanny in others, sometimes hilarious.

Schindler’s List, The Green Mile, Sleepers and 28 Days Later

Misery with James Caan and Kathy Bates

American History X stayed with me quite a while.

I also completely missed the point of this post apparently and skipped over horror and right to depressing and disturbing 🤦🏻‍♀️
