Is this the most overused word on Mumsnet which isn’t heard in RL? What other words or expressions do you only hear on here? (Lighthearted)

OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 22/05/2020 08:58

Oh yes and the “sorry your partner is such a horrible bastard” and as a pp said, usually said with no justification at all and pretend sympathy.

Roussette · 22/05/2020 09:01

I hate telling someone to say 'did you mean to be so rude?'

I cannot imagine using it in RL, I've never heard it before MN and it wouldn't work because it will end up 'yes' or 'no' and get nowhere

TheStuffedPenguin · 22/05/2020 09:03

"run for the hills" and yes LTB

BadLad · 22/05/2020 09:08

I don't see it all that often any more but Fuck off to the far side of fuck and when you get there fuck off some more

How can anyone seriously think that ridiculous mouthful is a cutting put down?

Weallhavevalidopinions · 22/05/2020 09:10

Discrimination

So many feel that they have been discriminated against...

EG The supermarket wouldn't let person, partner and children go in to shop together - screams 'it'd discrimination'

I have to go into work one day a week but I have a child 'it's discrimination'

To use a couple of the ones I have seen recently.

I think need to actually think before they shout it's discrimination.

MrsJBaptiste · 22/05/2020 09:11

I use 'horrific' in everyday life 😮 well, not every day as my lide isn't quite that bad - yet!

I can't stand it when a poster puts 'no?' at the end of a sentence. As in 'surely you'd just do xyz, no?' 😠

Zaphodsotherhead · 22/05/2020 09:14

Balling.

I charitably choose to believe that they mean they are 'bawling' in these situations, but..hey, this is Mumsnet.

'You do you' love.

Neron · 22/05/2020 09:21

Boundaries

Usually found in all those MIL threads, you know, because they just love to disregard them or OP needs to put them in place to make it as impossible as can be for MIL to see the GC/her son or just keep her away forever
