Is this the most overused word on Mumsnet which isn’t heard in RL? What other words or expressions do you only hear on here? (Lighthearted)

There is a good deal of artistic license on this thread, as with all threads of this sort.

The misuse of the word literally is becoming normal now. Why?!

This is an odd one but I cannot STAND "I love the bones of him". It makes me incandescent.

Gaslighting. Still don't know what it means and haven't ever heard it anywhere else!

Gaslighting is a great word and very apt for many abusive men. Watch the move Gaslight and you’ll understand.

The oneS that really annoys me are “source?” Or “can you post a link to that”
Fine if you’ve looked and can’t find anything to back it up, but generally it’s done by some clueless random who wishes to disagree with you and have a go, but lack the general desire to take a few mins googling to see if you’re right or not. So they’d like you to do the work for them. Prove yourself wrong so to speak to save them the effort

Nah. It's always on the person making the (usually) bullshit claim to back it the fuck up!

Anxiety. There's a lot of anxiety sufferers on here
Through the roof even
Screamed
Everyone’s ‘screaming’ for things to happen, apparently
Doesn't everyone just roll their eyes when the OP has a 'screamer'? It's often the MIL writhing around on the floor screaming, sometimes just a random screaming in their face. As if!

And Narc. Everyone seems to have one. You can squeeze anyone into almost any diagnosis if you google hard enough.

As always, it's the, 'No is a complete sentence' one that makes me cringe every time. It's just incorrect for a start. It doesn't seem to crop up so often now as it used to, thankfully.

I love a bit of outrage. I'm.outraged that I've opened this thread and there isn't any.
Concur with gaslighting and narcissists. Don't tend to hear much about these in real life. Another one you never hear in real life and my favourite thing to hear about on here are Wendys, as I have had a a rubbish time with a couple of ex friends and it makes me feel like it's an actual thing.
