Just that really. Either a totally off topic question, a hilarious response or just something that made you laugh.

For me it was someone who had posted about her office chair frequently appearing damp and smelling of pee and someone just responded “woah we’re halfway there”.

Mine was one of the ‘overheard on a bus’ threads, loads of laughs on there..
Someone was talking to Waster man on the phone and it was his dad, does anyone remember that?

Pixilicious · 03/05/2020 16:17

I have just read the snapped and farted thread and I honestly have tears of laughter running down my face. Thank you. Here it is for anyone who fancies a laugh

There's 2 that really stick out for me.

One where the OPs ExH was demanding her to ferry their children about on his wedding day to the OW. Something was said about 'providing' and a poster told the OP to say 'Seeing as I've already provided the groom, I'd say I've gone above and beyond'

And

The OPs DH kept standing in front of the TV whilst she was watching her programmes, making a big deal of talking to her. Someone said 'Ask him if his trousers are see through. He'll look and say no and then you can say 'Neither are you dickhead, move out the way'

Both really tickled me.

user1471565182 · 03/05/2020 16:20

oh the op was me, as patroclus.

user1471565182 · 03/05/2020 16:20

Dont know how to get my old name back.

Sux2buthen · 03/05/2020 16:20

Someone had overreacted to something in their op and someone else said something like
'Reminds me of a time my husband commented that it was a lovely morning so I drove a pickaxe through his spine'
For some reason it made me giggle a lot

WitheredfromtheLake · 03/05/2020 16:28

This response from an exasperated poster:

We have no internet either. I am just banging two leprechauns sticks together and hoping this will post.

SuperlativeScrubs · 03/05/2020 16:32

Re-reading multiple threads.

Thank you OP, I think we all needed this right now Grin

WitheredfromtheLake · 03/05/2020 16:36

Also loved:

"Paul, is that you?"

Carolduckingbaskin · 03/05/2020 16:38

@Sux2buthen that’s just really made me laugh!

The poster who started a thread “Think we need a bigger cat..... recommendations for a large family one?” and followed up with OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE when everyone started responding with Jaguar and Ford Puma and she realised she’d made a typo

Years ago, a thread about psychics, one of the more sceptical posters sarcastically said:

There's definitely something in it, my brother was told he would soon be coming into money and that night he fucked a girl called Penny.

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 03/05/2020 16:52

Illustration careers thread and its sadly deleted OP.

'I'm Angela Hernandez'.

Carolduckingbaskin · 03/05/2020 16:55

@wrongsideofhistorymyarse that is literally my favourite emabarrasing story ever - I could imagine myself saying something similar!

So has hugo
There's some quick witted folk on here

Backtothenewme · 03/05/2020 17:13

Worst place you have farted?

Kidderminster 🤣

Spacecudet · 03/05/2020 17:14

Loving reading these old threads. I really loved the 'how old do you think I am?' ones a few months ago, the answers were brutal, and then followed 'how old do you think I am?' but with pets.

JaneJeffer · 03/05/2020 17:15

Withered I think I know which thread that was. The OP seemed to think all Irish people lived in hovels Grin

BSintolerant · 03/05/2020 17:18

Quite a few replies to a thread called “AIBU to find the King of Jordan mega hot” amused me, including:

“ ... my ex-husband was Syrian (probably still is) ...” Grin

TheHighestSardine · 03/05/2020 17:20

The currently live Macdonald's one is going well!

Harrysmum2020 · 03/05/2020 17:30

The one about cats shutting All over the green and someone reply’s have you tried explaining that to the cats? Grin

Spaghetti123 · 03/05/2020 17:35

On the expectation vs reality style and beauty thread. The post has been deleted now but I remember it was a poster who'd bought a linen dress which she thought was lovely.

But her DP took a photo of her in the garden and she realised she looked like she was getting some fresh air in some kind of secure facility for disturbed middle aged women.
