Who came up with that 😳

LavenderQuartz · 04/04/2020 20:11

dear god op......will they understand the clapping drama? will they? no, they won't,so you will just confuse them further

thats bloody cruel if anything

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 04/04/2020 20:11

@Barnowl25 I like him

jadey0891 · 04/04/2020 20:12

Have you been here long?

Sparklingbrook · 04/04/2020 20:13

Enough already. That's just madness.

BoJoMoFo · 04/04/2020 20:13

Jesus Christ. How ridiculous. It completely takes away the impact of clapping for careers... totally minimises that. Just utterly ridiculous.

BoJoMoFo · 04/04/2020 20:13

*carers

ChicChicChicChiclana · 04/04/2020 20:13

It's a nice thought. I feel so much for little children being forced to stay inside and not see their school friends, and living with stressed parents atm.

I don't see it widely being taken up ... but, still, it's a lovely thought.

Pipandmum · 04/04/2020 20:14

Give kids some credit. Either they are too young to care or are old enough to understand. If they are upset it's the parents job to be the voice of reason and explain things. And this clapping thing: once fine but repeating it is patronising and pointless.

AvocadoOwl · 04/04/2020 20:14

Just no.

jadey0891 · 04/04/2020 20:14

@ChicChicChicChiclana
Thanks

appalling how op? kids dont need this at all.....whats spalling is you trying to promote this jumping on the clapping bandwagon and deflecting the rightful attention for the NHS

its all very much 'look at meeee'

Ghostlyglow · 04/04/2020 20:14

I've just seen this on a local news site. I actually thought it was a joke at first. I'm sick of this stuff (and I'm NHS and don't like the clapping for us either)
And as for the dreadful poetry that is appearing on social media at the moment....
Just no. No to all of it

mynameiscalypso · 04/04/2020 20:15

Most children I know are having a great time.

CeibaTree · 04/04/2020 20:15

How inane.

ghostyslovesheets · 04/04/2020 20:15

no

Knowhowufeel2 · 04/04/2020 20:15

I actually thought you'd started the thread to warn us to hide away 😂 now I realise you actually think this is a great idea 🤭

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 04/04/2020 20:16

Coming to your neighbourhood next week

clap for pets

Our pets don't understand why they have less walks. They don't understand why people set out fireworks every second night. But they survive. Clap for pets no fireworks tho!

shuuush · 04/04/2020 20:16

Swear a year from now there will be a rise in repetitive strain wrist injuries.

Enough now it's cringe.

cowfacemonkey · 04/04/2020 20:16

I presume due to the increased volume of traffic during the COVID-19 crisis Nethuns aren't taking on new members Hmm

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 04/04/2020 20:16

Is there anyone who some bored middle class type doesn’t want us to clap for?

EyeSoLated · 04/04/2020 20:17

Some nasty comments on here, no need for that really.

Clymene · 04/04/2020 20:17

No. Fuck off

Fairybatman · 04/04/2020 20:18

If my eyes roll much harder they’re going to see the back of my head.

It’s a load of virtue signalling cockwomblery.

I’d rather spend my time doing something productive.
