Nah,we are in this for a long time yet. Will save my applause for when it’s over.

user1494182820 · 04/04/2020 23:05

My 2 1/2 year old understands. How about instead of dicking about on your doorstep making a godawful racket, you just explain to your kids what's going onConfused

Fallsballs · 04/04/2020 23:06

Precisely - talk to your kids and stop fucking clapping.

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 04/04/2020 23:07

The goats in Wales are marauding for Coronavirus, don't think we can top that. Job done.

SewItGoes · 04/04/2020 23:07

Meh, maybe not.

It's just a waste of time and effort, to be completely honest. And not particularly creative, either.

springiscoming12 · 04/04/2020 23:07

Omfg I’ve heard it all now

DareToTiger · 04/04/2020 23:08

I'm just fucking done. My response to all posts will be the safety response:

AnaphylacticAnnabelle · 04/04/2020 23:09

I will clap for my cat.... she's most put out that we've all been at home disturbing her peace.

It all changed in a blink of an eye.... She's such a little hero.

Meow

FurryAndFluffy · 04/04/2020 23:10

Terrible idea. Naff as hell.

Fallsballs · 04/04/2020 23:12

My cat is very pissed off I gave her Lidl cat food (needs must).

Clap for distressed pets ?

Clap for distressed parents clinging to sanity anyone ?

Crunchymum · 04/04/2020 23:14

@Changednamesorry

Spain clap for the children? Confused

RoseCider · 04/04/2020 23:14

FFS so children have to be kept indoors for a few weeks and parented deserve a clap? Get a grip.

They are not ‘little heroes’ they are children being indoors for a damn good reason. Some people are batshit.

Hotcoldsometimessnowy · 04/04/2020 23:16

ALovelyBitOfSquirrel I hear you but hopefully it just lets them know that we are proud of every child because life for all is difficult at the moment. You are right, perhaps if we could hand out leaflets detailing what services are available (young carers, foodbanks, etc) Thank you so much for making me think, you are quite correct, a clap is no enough, it is the beginning but we must provide the end!

msflibble · 04/04/2020 23:16

Bit harsh on the OP no? If you don't like the idea, don't clap. It was posted with good intentions, seems a shame to shoot someone down for trying to do something positive.

YouTheCat · 04/04/2020 23:18

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow, I shall allow it. Grin

Hippopotas · 04/04/2020 23:18

Namechangedforthisreply7 · 04/04/2020 23:19

Fuck that, clap for the bloody parents I say.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 04/04/2020 23:22

@YouTheCat thank youGrin I shall tell your owner to give you extra treats Grin

blue25 · 04/04/2020 23:23

This is just embarrassing. Why the hell would I do this?

YouTheCat · 04/04/2020 23:25

I like treats. Grin

TheJoyofBeingSingle · 04/04/2020 23:32

STAY SILENT. STOP THE CLAP SPREADING

Fuckyoumenopause · 04/04/2020 23:35

@thejoyofbeingsingle Ha! Totally agree... Don't get the clap!

LEELULUMPKIN · 04/04/2020 23:36

Well I have recently started using my local milkman (ooh the thrill of real bottles! I need to get out more. Oh wait.)

So I will now be Mambo'ing for the milkman every Monday as he is a hero for taking on new customers.

He delivers at 2am so I will have to set my alarm, feel free to join me.

TheHobbitMum · 04/04/2020 23:37

Fuck no
