When's clap for cats on?

Fuck no! It’s bad enough when they get fleas, I don’t need them to get the clap as well.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 04/04/2020 22:20

Go away.

Figgygal · 04/04/2020 22:21

Oof this thread didn’t turn out how you thought did it op

willdoitinaminute · 04/04/2020 22:22

Anyone else cleaning their flaps for the postman.

Just though I'll let you know
Spinachtastegud · 04/04/2020 22:24

I won't be doing this for sure Grin

SharonasCorona · 04/04/2020 22:24

pole dance for police.

This could double up as recognition for police and our Polish community.

Taddda · 04/04/2020 22:24

My street clapped last week, silence this week...it's a very 'we appreciate you but we're not fucking repeating ourselves' place....

Although I imagine a 6 month festival will take place if they reopen the local....

Until then, silence (the cats are currently working their way through the bins here so feel free to aim any sort of clap their way......)

squirrelsbizaar · 04/04/2020 22:24

Wtf. We'll be a nation of pavlovian sea lions clapping on command at by the end of all this.
Last week for NHS was different and note worthy, its now just getting stupid.

TheGinGenie · 04/04/2020 22:25

(I will also clap for cats)

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 04/04/2020 22:26

Lets give them a medal!

No, that’s ridiculous, here’s a Biscuit

Neveranynamesleft · 04/04/2020 22:26

This thread has done more to raise people's spirits than any bloody clap slap and whackapan ever could. Brilliant.

MrsKingfisher · 04/04/2020 22:26

Stacey Solomon will be all over this...just no, no more wanky clapping let's instead do as we've been asked and stay the Jeff inside.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 04/04/2020 22:27

@willdoitinaminute 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am not lying, I did laughed out loud

ALovelyBitOfSquirrel · 04/04/2020 22:28

You forgot the "making memories" brigade. I've seen 4 different "making memories" posts from 4 different mums this week*

Of course! How could I forget that little gem. Plus the vomit inducing nonsense I have seen lately " the most precious jewels you'll ever have around your neck are the arms of your children" wtf?!

Huntastic.

SoupDragon · 04/04/2020 22:28

Please, please PLEASE make #twerk4teachers a thing and see how far it gets 😂😂😂

WouldShouldCould · 04/04/2020 22:29

There are so many brilliant posts, the wit of many of you has greatly cheered me.

Starlight1243 · 04/04/2020 22:29

It losing all meaning doing it every week and for various different groups of people.

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 04/04/2020 22:30

Ofc I'm not clapping for kids 😂 how ridiculous

ilikemethewayiam · 04/04/2020 22:31

WTAF!

Daffodil101 · 04/04/2020 22:31

I’m in awe of the NHS right now. Honestly. My kids love clapping for the NHS.

It’s a shame every fucker wants to hijack it for themselves. Seriously. I get that supermarket workers are being really flexible and working hard. I get that some people are being paid to stay home while key workers aren’t.

But have you seen what the NHS is doing? We should be proud to clap them. Such a shame about the ‘me too’ bit.

Bezalelle · 04/04/2020 22:33

Ridiculous.

EmpressLangClegInChair · 04/04/2020 22:34

I want people to clap for my left arse cheek because it’s fucking magnificent.

Won’t that make your right arse cheek sad?

Jadey, welcome to MN.

Didkdt · 04/04/2020 22:34

Actually our children have on the whole had life handed to them in a very generous fashion, and it won't do them too much harm to learn to appreciate the treats and freedoms they have had and to revel in them again when this is over.
If we parents can be adult about instilling the message of everyone doing their bit in a kindly but serious fashion then they should get through this ok

iklboo · 04/04/2020 22:35

Crying out loud. DS is 14. He never ventures outside his bedroom anyway. The only clap he's getting is if he gets out of sodding bed before noon.
