Someone please tell me this is a late April Fool's joke.

What utter bollocks.

Even the language of it is vomit inducing.

What the fuck heroic is there about following rules?

Meanwhile in Syria, India, Africa.................

EdersonsSmileyTattoo · 04/04/2020 22:03

For fucks sake....

Jaggerypokery · 04/04/2020 22:03

chickLitLover as a granny I can’t thank you enough. I’m feeling totally unclapped and Increasingly unacknowledged during this crisis.

I can make just about any day and time to receive my applause as I’m now unable to fulfil the majority of granny type functions and am reduced to a mere hour of grannying on zoom every other day. Not only am I by age in the at risk group, I am having to risk life and limb down Sainsbury’s and am reduced to crocheting loo roll. I live alone so the only conversations I’m having apart from the zoom hour is with a small cuddly toy pelican. I’ve quite literally gone bonkers.

ClapForCats · 04/04/2020 22:03

Please Clap For Cats.

It is vital for their well-being.

P.S. to my owner - I do not like the cod flavour Whiskas any longer. I accept that I refused to eat anything else until two hours ago.

Kraejka · 04/04/2020 22:03

It's the Huns behind it all. I blame the cover everything in glitter/terrible slogan t shirt/ babygrow / Live Love Laugh Huns brigade.

You forgot the "making memories" brigade. I've seen 4 different "making memories" posts from 4 different mums this week.

Thesoundofnohandsclapping · 04/04/2020 22:04

Our little heroes have stayed indoors without really understanding why

Hmm Heroes? Really? Have their parents not talked to them and explained what's going on?

The shine a torch thingy FB page is pretty dire but this too is Biscuit worthy, a packet of Viscount Chocolate Mint which I will not share.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 04/04/2020 22:04

Thoughts and Prayers now must be really sad about being disregarded for some noise😂

ClapForCats · 04/04/2020 22:06

P.S. to my owner again - I vomited a furball in your slipper this afternoon.

It would not have happened if you had let me eat Temptations (chicken and cheese flavour) so it is your fault if you get it on your foot later.

Richwitch · 04/04/2020 22:06

@Fuckyoumenopause Sounds like my street. I’ll happily clap the little sh*ts round the head with an axe 😂

YouTheCat · 04/04/2020 22:07

There's some odd threads going at the moment. Has the feel of the 'panty raids' of old.

HRH2020 · 04/04/2020 22:07

What have kids done that deserve a round of applause? I don't mind telling you my son has been a total shit today and maybe he should be clapping me. 🙄

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 04/04/2020 22:07
Hmm
ClapForCats · 04/04/2020 22:08

Oh I forgot - I had a shit in that round thing in the garden. You had put some earth in it for me, so thank you for that.

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 04/04/2020 22:09

Aw OP. Have you come here by way of a more ..... ummmm...... hun, hubby, chick route

If so, welcome to the reality of AIBU xxx lol and all that

maginachevalier · 04/04/2020 22:09

😂😂😂😂😂 Ridiculous 🙄🙄🙄

EasyPleasey · 04/04/2020 22:09

This thread is brilliant. Twerk for teachers and bang your bongos for binmen are my favourites for the calendar.

We need to have scream for shop workers Sunday and pole dance for police.

Whywhywhynow · 04/04/2020 22:09

Wow! Nasty replies here.

tulipsrus · 04/04/2020 22:09

The kids will do as they’re told

Kraejka · 04/04/2020 22:10

We need to have scream for shop workers Sunday and pole dance for police.

Absolutely hilarious. Thanks for making me laugh!

SunshineCake · 04/04/2020 22:10

Oh well if it is busy bees that explains it Hmm.

SunshineCake · 04/04/2020 22:13

Start a campaign to bring the community together safely. Rainbows, bears etc, street exercise class. But not this.

TheGinGenie · 04/04/2020 22:14

If they have no clue about what's happening then how is clapping going to help? They won't understand what they're being clapped for. This clapping thing is getting ridiculous, why don't we do something helpful instead rather than loads of clapping then going out and ignoring social distancing anyway

Theresnobslikeshowb · 04/04/2020 22:14

Please tell me this is a wind up? This clapping is now pissing me right off, it’s lost its appeal already. Too much of a good thing is bad- and this is bad! (Yes I did clap the first night, but every night? Nope).

BiBiBirdie · 04/04/2020 22:16

If anyone starts Pissed senseless for Parents, I'm ya girl 'hic' Gin

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/04/2020 22:18

I don't stand and clap for the NHS. They need adequate pay, adequate protection and practical support.

They don't need me standing on my doorstep clapping ineffectually.

And my kids certainly don't need me clapping!
