I’ll tell you a funny story. I’m a member of a very right-wing US politics online discussion group for kicks. The moderator of the group controls - and gets involved in - every discussion. (I should say the membership of this group is over 50K and the number of posts a day is generally 30 or so.) She’s also a typical Trumpian in that she reels off the standard “lamestream mass media” etc lines” and she mutes anyone who disagrees with her.

Anyway, I took her on eventually. She said that the Democratic candidates wanted to get rid of the Constitution. To this, I replied Trump flouts the Constitution on a regular basis. “What? Provide examples!” she replies. “Emoluments clause,” I replied. “That’s just one.”

GUYS. SHE HAD NOT HEARD OF THE EMOLUMENTS CLAUSE.

She then just spat something about she doesn’t read mass media lies and that’s why she didn’t know and muted me.

Sorry for that analogy, I have a very bad cold at the moment and we have a large number of cases of COVID-19 here for such a small country as the one I live in, so it's on my mind!

Yesterday I started watching a documentary about Obama to Trump and I think Dems should listen to Obama speeches again. It was all about uniting and healing.
These days it's all very us and them.

The part with the GOP/Tea Party/Fox/Breitbart was chilling. Most or all of you are aware of what happened too, but watching it all summarised, tbh, it's very sad and worrying.
Not sure if the US (and many other countries) will recover and how.
How do you unite a country in thst a substantial part of the population believes in lies and doesn't realise that the Obamacare they are against is the very lower cost health cover they got?

It was quite sad to watch the other day a Caucus voter say that she wouldn't have voted for Pete if she had realised he was gay.
These people would probably rather vote for an adulterer.

Oh; there were two women and a gay in that debate. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't known already: the only people mentioned in the BBC report I heard (on World Update this morning) were Sanders, Bloomberg, and as a sort of afterthought Biden. No Klobuchar, no Warren, no Buttigieg, no Steyer. It was shocking.

And CNN listed them like this: "Who was on stage: Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, and Tom Steyer."

Alphabetical by surname until all of a sudden it wasn't. What was the reasoning behind that order, do you suppose? It can't have been by who has won most support so far, I don't think.
