Pooing in the en suite!!

MisfitNinja · 03/02/2020 08:08

Settle an age old debate between myself and my DH:

Shitting in the en suite:

Yes or no?

I say no, as it will stink the bedroom out and he disagrees and says that it doesn't matter. If he needs to go he'll go whichever toilets closets!!

Never in the en-suite!

MsChatterbox · 03/02/2020 08:10

No never.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 03/02/2020 08:10

Whatever loo is closest. Turn the extractor fan on.

PooWillyBumBum · 03/02/2020 08:10

I agree with you. I’ve never really got the appeal of en suits unless they’re in a very large bedroom away from the bed or through a dressing room. Would rather have a loo next door with two doors to shield me from the faecal fug.

SapphosRock · 03/02/2020 08:11

If you're in the bedroom at the time then no, otherwise fine.

WeHaveSnowdrops · 03/02/2020 08:11

Gross.

QueenOfOversharing · 03/02/2020 08:11

If I sits, I shits.

Wherever.

TheDeep · 03/02/2020 08:12

It's a toilet, surely it's meant for shitting?

Sundaygirlz · 03/02/2020 08:13

Never. En-suite and downstairs loo number 1's only. Family bathroom is number 2 bathroom!

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 03/02/2020 08:14

No just no💩

PuntasticUsername · 03/02/2020 08:14

You shut the door and open the window (or turn on the fan), where is the drama?!

CwtchesCuddles · 03/02/2020 08:16

Open the window, turn on the fan, air fresheners? Fuss over nothing!!! We both fully use our en suite toilet!!!

GiveHerHellFromUs · 03/02/2020 08:16

Erm, yes! Why have a private bathroom if you can't use it for your private business?

Reginabambina · 03/02/2020 08:17

How badly do your poos smell Shock

Newkitchen123 · 03/02/2020 08:17

It's a toilet!
What is this person eating that closing the door and opening the window is not enough!!

Inforthelonghaul · 03/02/2020 08:17

It’s a toilet ffs it’s what it’s there for. Use the extractor, open the windows for a bit and use an odour neutraliser.

Hoohaahoo · 03/02/2020 08:18

My en-suite is my favourite place to poo, I’d be horrified if DH banned it.
It is far away from the bed though, we have a big bedroom.

Womenwotlunch · 03/02/2020 08:18

I don’t like ensuites. I would rather have a smaller , single toilet

Apolloanddaphne · 03/02/2020 08:18

Of course. It is a loo and for shitting in.

Petrarkanian · 03/02/2020 08:19

It's called The Shitter for a reason.

Gatehouse77 · 03/02/2020 08:19

Meh, my nearest and dearest tolerate normal bodily functions. There's windows, room spray or a fan.

However, we do make sure the other doesn't need it to brush teeth, etc.

Sirzy · 03/02/2020 08:19

Surely a toilet is for using? As long as it’s left clean then just use the toilet!

KellyHall · 03/02/2020 08:20

Knowing how much shit can stink, I'd say definitely don't shit in the en-suite if your significant other is either in the bedroom or will soon be in the bedroom.

It's always what makes romantic getaways less romantic for me!

CaptainMyCaptain · 03/02/2020 08:21

If it's got a fan then it won't make the bedroom smell, ours doesn't anyway, although I could do without the sound effects. I won't tell my husband where he can or cannot poo in his own (our) house.
