I completely agree with regards to Archie. That poor boy could become embroiled in a global custody fight played out in the press if this goes pear shaped.

I think that would be the nail in Harry's mental health if he had to fight for his son.

I remember reading that he was about to speak about her but Doria was drafted in to deal with him. I expect money changed hands...

The world want to make it clear, btw, that they are not releasing the name of their dog and no one is to approach it saying over-familiar things like "Hello, pooch".

To be fair, I don't totally buy this "cultural divide" thing.

I came from another country and married an English man and the greatest cultural disagreement we have is why it's necessary to have 6 different types of pasta open in the cupboard at any one time.

Just as well we aren't famous, imagine how dull the tabloid headlines would be.

Fundamentally, irrespective of how anyone feels the press has treated H&M (and I do think she in particular has been treated appallingly) the question still remains....

Is it reasonable for a couple with a combined wealth of £34m to use their Royal status for personal financial gain, whilst expecting taxpayers to fund their lifestyle aa they feather their nest at the expense of doing the job those public funds were in lieu of?

If press intrusion is at the core of this decision then can someone please illuminate me as to what part of their "plan" addresses this?

Fundamentally, their demands are utterly self serving not self defending, so I'm not buying the "woe is us" narrative they are peddling.

They absolutely have visions of being on par with the Obama's/Clooney's/Beckham's of this world with the bank accounts to match.

The dog however has secured dog.com, dog.gov.uk and dog.global in preparation for woofing its head off when it doesn’t get rib roast for breakfast lunch and tea.

I think Meghan will try to find herself in US politics in the next 5 years.

Yeah the Sunday Times was a good read today. Camilla Long absolutely took H and M to the cleaners.

But oh, the manner of their self-ejection - so ill-considered and unpolished. Imagine setting up a website complete with flowcharts to explain in greater detail how troughingly wealthy and privileged you are. Imagine saying you’re going to cherry-pick photographers and journalists and think this “revised media approach” can be passed off as “open”. Imagine calling yourself “progressive”, then joining one of the least progressive institutions in the world and then complaining it isn’t “progressive” enough. How does the Queen even begin to negotiate with such self-obsessed individuals?

I feel really sad for the Queen.

SympatheticSwan I agree. Hence her refusal to meet Donald Trump when he came over, but her personal hosting of Hilary Clinton. Clearly expressing a preference there, when one is supposed not to interfere with politics. Totally understand why she wouldn't have wanted to meet Donald Trump, but best to meet neither then, rather than just one.

@DeRigueurMortis Thank you! People just don't understand... you cannot have pesto with short pasta, for example, or friarielli with long pasta. It is simply absurd!

Also unacceptable is this English thing of putting the pasta on a plate and then plonking the sauce on top of it. Or worse, beside!
