to think white Ferrero Rochers should be banned

I was given a 'tray' of Ferroro Rocher for Christmas. The tray consisted of white, brown (original) and dark brown Rocher. Not partaken since about 1994 so was quite excited to have a "ooh monsieur you are spoiling us" moment.

Opened the white one. WTAF? Desiccated coconut absolutely everywhere. Who invented these bags of dandruff? They are cunningly designed to ensure coconut falls out immediately upon opening. Doesn't even contain white chocolate. Just tastes of coconut. What's the point? No one in my household has been able to eat one without making an almighty mess. Might as well shake a bag of the desiccated stuff around the lounge.

These are not fit for the Ambassador's reception.

Any other 'chocolate' abominations I need to be aware of that I've missed?

The white ones are so much better than the other flavours .. yabvu

The dark are my favourite, but I do love the white ones too. In fact, they're all lush!

Rafaello were crafted in hell by people who have never known joy. I once had no choice but to give some to a friend as a thank you gift. Sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat and wonder if I should message her to apologise. But I know the memory of that distant pain would just resurface and ruin her night. Let it go Rhoda I say to myself.

I've not tried those white chocolate ones but I feel your pain as I was very disappointed with the white chocolate Reece's butter cups I got for Christmas. Not a patch on the original.

The whole collection should be banned. Not that I’ve tried the black or white ones, but my 1991 experience of cat litter ball in cheap chocolate was enough to put me off Ferraro rocher for life.

Not tried these Rafaello things. Sounds a bit like the Lidl white choc/coconut/cornflake bar that is oh so irresistible.

We used to always have these at the Ambassadors reception in the 90’s

@QueenOfOversharing if you have any of those white chocolate Lindor left over you can pass them over here! Have you got the Swiss ones? DH reckons the ones made outside Switzerland are not as good, although I've only seen the white ones from Switzerland.

I can’t eat them anymore because I have developed a milk allergy but they used to be my favourite chocolates :( I love coconut in anything though so that is probably why.

The country I come from Rafaellos are incredibly popular, and they have come out with a raspberry version. They are lovely. YABU so much. SO SO SO UNREASONABLE.

Germany! We have the raspberry ones! Do you like them? I find the filling isn't creamy enough to work with the wafer.

I had a tray of these at Christmas too.
I disliked the white ones less that I expected too - but that's probably because the chocolate on all of them was nasty and cheap. As white "chocolate" has sod all cocoa/chocolate content, that would be why.

didnt like the packets rather than being wrapped.

Also reminded me that I had chocolates given by the same person in the cupboard from last year. MINT Lindor. they were as bad as I expected. at least the ferrero tray didn't have any mint ones.
