to think white Ferrero Rochers should be banned

I was given a 'tray' of Ferroro Rocher for Christmas. The tray consisted of white, brown (original) and dark brown Rocher. Not partaken since about 1994 so was quite excited to have a "ooh monsieur you are spoiling us" moment.

Opened the white one. WTAF? Desiccated coconut absolutely everywhere. Who invented these bags of dandruff? They are cunningly designed to ensure coconut falls out immediately upon opening. Doesn't even contain white chocolate. Just tastes of coconut. What's the point? No one in my household has been able to eat one without making an almighty mess. Might as well shake a bag of the desiccated stuff around the lounge.

These are not fit for the Ambassador's reception.

Any other 'chocolate' abominations I need to be aware of that I've missed?

I am stealthily eating my way through a big box of them that I bought as part of our Christmas goodies but decided fuck everyone and have them hidden in my wardrobe and eat one every time I use the upstairs loo.

Sorry OP they’re not meant to be white chocolate Ferraro rochers! They’re raffaello’s and are supposed to be coconutty. But the dried coconut is rank and the almond is annoying. I prefer them if the coconut falls off 😂

My neighbor just got a box and told me she loves the milk ones buts hates the rest so I took the dark ones off her as a helpful gesture I can't have white chocolate so left her to pass them on to someone else.

Anyway the dark one are lovely!

They are utterly vile. I love coconut but these are just disgusting.

@altiara, yes I think I did approach them with the wrong mindset. A white chocolate mindset. I had no idea about the Rocher collection beyond the original. Was certainly not expecting coconut.

Ohhhh, I ADORE the white ones! But then I am a coconut fiend - I'm the one hoovering the leftover Bountys in the Celebrations tin. I also love the fact that the rest of my family hate coconut, because they are MINE, ALL MINE! Send them my way, pronto!

I must say, the packaging is a bastard. They are welded into their wrappers, and the coconut goes bloody everywhere.

I got my dd the same tray she spat out the white ones and threw me a look I tasted one yip rank !

Rafaellos are ace! I once stayed at the then-ambassador to Italy's official residence in Rome (it was amazing!) and was really disappointed that there were no pyramids of golden chocolate balls. The then-ambassador told me it was the number one "complaint" (joking, of course) from British colleagues who stayed!

The coconut and the dark ones were definitely a disappointment for me.

YANBU. They're a travesty. I ate them first at the stately rate of one per night because they were so terrible. I then gorged on the beautiful dark chocolate ones.

@MagicMojito oh no! So weird, as friend who was slating them said they're not the same as the bars. She had a big tube of them.
