Bloody hell, in all my years of MNing I've never had a response like this, I was really helped by loads of your replies, and loads made me giggle (Roast Potatoes!!) and loads made good points.

I'm sorry I can't reply to specific posts but seriously there's so many.

And she didn't come back last night (good!)

So she's made a mistake anyway......cos Dad was actually out last night ! So we'll all be sitting there when she comes back.

My plan is, to write a list of bullet points for tonight of things she definitely said, so I can't forget and she can't back out of it or claim she didn't say it (I also remembered another bit in the fucking row- where she went "Oh, so a fucking ghost did it?" in that tone of voice- fucking horrible)

Also to sit calmly and let her explain to my lovely Dad and DP that she thinks they might have maliciously cut her coat.

Then see what she says!

TBH unless she fucking grovels on her knees (not likely after that fucking last text- minimization or what??) I'm going to be asking her to pack her stuff.

I have read all the replies, some have opened my eyes, some have been excusing, some have told me not to rock the friendship boat....overall I have taken a middle(ish) ground.....but tbh it's clear she is
a) weird/horrible enough to think that of her oldest friend and her family
b) fucking vicious in a row
c) now backtracking massively

So....thoughts???

I was convinced 'the dad not picking up his son thread' from yesterday was a classic wind up. It looks like it wasn't.

Didn’t you read the full thread? She updated and said her DH went to the house and the dad came to the door half asleep. He had put his phone on silent and asked his brother to. Pick you his son and his brother forgot. Go back and read the whole thread

OP, please come back. I really want to know how it's turned out. I had something similar (but far, far worse) happen but have never been able to post about it because the details are so outing.

Because of this I've become very invested in your dilemma, hoping that it will turn out better than mine did.

TBH I came to the conclusion a while ago that reading threads on here is akin to heading to the fiction section of your local library and tearing out the last five pages of all the books.
Pure fiction mostly with no ending.

Hours of my life wasted going back and reading original post, comments and this thread and no outcome yet 😕

Maybe if posters hadn't derailed the thread with stupid poetry and then started slagging her off she might have come back. I wouldn't update if my thread had been filled with random shit and bad feeling

I’m pretty sure MN have looked into this and seen not all is as it seems and banned the OP.

Either that or she’s in hospital after a punch up with her mate which is unlikely.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. In this case they’ve obviously haven’t - IF the op has been banned; she might not have been but it seems the likeliest explanation to me.
