To wonder why Corbyn is seen more dangerous than Boris?

As I am struggling to see how anyone could be more dangerous that Boris and his awful cabinet.

OP posts:
nellodee · 03/09/2019 17:19

Because he is more dangerous to the people who control the media.

TheBigBallOfOil · 03/09/2019 17:20

Well that didn’t take long to explode into left wing conspiracy theory.

Tellmetruth4 · 03/09/2019 17:22

Because that’s what the billionaire press want. I’m a Blairite and want David Milliband in charge but even I can see the hysterical anti Corbyn stuff is bollocks.

nellodee · 03/09/2019 17:26

Hardly a conspiracy if its true.

Dogsarebetterthancatsok · 03/09/2019 17:26

He’ll destroy Britain, that’s why. He’s a communist. Do you really want a communist running the country?

CremeEggThief · 03/09/2019 17:27

Because he is very left-wing, which scares most people in this country. And I say that as a socialist myself.

SimonJT · 03/09/2019 17:28

Apparently being racist, homophobic and sexist is okay, but being in an at times anti-semitic party isn’t okay.

Obviously those of us with any sense know they are equally bad.

malificent7 · 03/09/2019 17:29

So Boris won't destroy Britain with his no deal Brexit?
If someone could outline exactly how Corbyn will destroy Britain vs exactly how Boris will destroy Britain then maybe I can decide who is more destructive!

OP posts:
whattodowith · 03/09/2019 17:30

Because people fear left wing politics, it’s too inclusive and not conservative enough.

nellodee · 03/09/2019 17:32

If we do not change our ways, human civilisation as we know it will not last another hundred years due to climate change. This may sound hyperbolic, but sadly it is not. Trump, Bolsonaro and their enablers, like Boris, will destroy any chance of our grandchildren having a future. Radical change is necessary. I wish someone more competent than Corbyn was leading the alternative, but I will vote for the alternative every time.

Usernumbers1234 · 03/09/2019 17:33

because we are teetering on global recession regardless of what happens with Brexit and Brexit is not the cause of that recession. global treasury bonds are at an all time low and interest rates will be forced to go back down again soon.

The last thing we need in power is a populist with little or no care about the purse stringers.

The UK public is (understandably) fixated on Brexit, when that isn’t the real storm we are about to face.

TheSultanofPingu · 03/09/2019 17:34

He's not a fucking communist fgs!

TheBigBallOfOil · 03/09/2019 17:34

So we want more government control of the media? Nothing vaguely sinister in that?
“ an at times anti-Semitic party”, eh? Now where did I put that disinfectant for my eyes...
The Labour Party and its followers. Repelling voters everywhere.

Alsohuman · 03/09/2019 17:35

Because people lap up what the right wing media feed them.

TheBigBallOfOil · 03/09/2019 17:36

Ah yes, it’s the media.
Who does this remind me of... let me think. Ah yes. Trump. It’s the media at the bottom of all his troubles too, according to him at least.

refusetobeasheep · 03/09/2019 17:37

Take a look at the economic proposals McDonnell has outlined. Big companies will see their value plunge. You may think this doesn't affect you, but everyone who has saved for a pension will see that pension plunge in value as a result. But hey, the MPs with their final salary pensions will ride it out fine.

Jackreacherswife · 03/09/2019 17:37

@Dogsarebetterthancatsok He's a very left wing socialist not a communist.

nellodee · 03/09/2019 17:37

Who said we want more state control of the media? That is a total straw man. However, I would not object to the refunding of the BBC, a disconnection of its funding from political parties, and stronger regulation on its impartiality.

Cheeseoncrumpets · 03/09/2019 17:38

Because he is more dangerous to the people who control the media.

This in a nut shell.

Grimbles · 03/09/2019 17:39

Because Socialism, raaaaaaaaaggghhhh!!!!!

nellodee · 03/09/2019 17:39

Which economic proposals will affect pension values?

TheBigBallOfOil · 03/09/2019 17:40

Stronger regulation by whom? That means state control. And that is what Corbyn wants.
If he feels the media has defamed him, he has legal remedies. As he must know, given the Labour Party’s new favoured counsel (carter fuck and partners).

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 03/09/2019 17:42

I can't stand Corbyn or Momentum but it blows my mind that anyone can think he is worse than what we have now
His policies are no more left than most of Europe have. Policies I would love here but we are limping towards being a mini US and who wants their policies
The Labour Party have always been held to account in a way the Tories never are

blackistheneworange · 03/09/2019 17:43

It's as much his fault we're in this mess as anyone else. He's only made up his mind which side of the Brexit fence he's on now he thinks he may get the power he craves.

Bridget1983 · 03/09/2019 17:43

He’s not even that fucking left wing - his policies would be regarded as fairly middle of the road in most of Europe
