To wonder why Corbyn is seen more dangerous than Boris?

malificent7 · 03/09/2019 17:18

As I am struggling to see how anyone could be more dangerous that Boris and his awful cabinet.

OP posts:
bogginmacaroni · 04/09/2019 01:05

Corbyn is more dangerous to the elite and big business people because they won't get away with tax dodges and exploiting us work with low wages. As for him being a communist - what rubbish! Since when was a fully funded NHS and local authorities being a communist. Don't believe the rubbish in the Tory press.

curlykaren · 04/09/2019 01:08

I couldn't agree more OP. But glad that it's you to peek your head above the parapet, not me.
As for railing against Corbyn because of perceived indecision, have you not been following the current prime ministers antics??

chickenyhead · 04/09/2019 01:22

Both Boris and Corbyn ACT like indecisive, bumbling idiots, but only one of them actually is. Boris is a shrewd operator using his manufactured public persona to manipulate his own agenda.

Corby cannot even manage his own party, who in their right mind would want him representing the country.

I would rather vote for Terry the Traffic Cone than either of them.

mantlepiece · 04/09/2019 02:33

Such negativity!

THeres a good chance of an election very soon. Who will you vote for?

Boris, Jeremy, Nigel, or Jo? That looks like the choice on offer. I think I will be looking at what they will do in the future not what I have read about in the gutter press.

By the way The Labour Party is a Democratic Socialist Party. It is not Social Democrat or Communist.

I really like the Labour Party Manifesto. Can’t wait to see the Manifesto Boris produces!

I want to leave the EU and I am happy to see that Labour will honour the result of the referendum, however, I have now accepted we will not leave no matter how much the people of this country jump up and down about it.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 04/09/2019 06:31

And the shit show continues this morning... yay!

Graphista to be fair Corbyn's meetings with various terrorist organisations over the years, his opposition to and voting against many terror laws here in the UK, wreath laying etc etc, would have him on the government's watch list, if he were a private citizen.

Dogsarebetterthancatsok · 04/09/2019 06:38

He is a communist and McDonnell is a Marxist. He has admitted it many times

Dogsarebetterthancatsok · 04/09/2019 06:45

He took Money from Iran to present on state TV and invited Gerry to parliament 5 days after IRA bombings. MI5 had a file open in him. All true, all available if you google. He is dangerous. They are many more and people need to open their eyes to this man. Why can’t Labour get rid of him despite knowing he won’t win an election? Labour would romp it if he wasn’t leader. Momentum run Labour. If you’re happy with that then go right ahead and vote for him. He won’t step down, he’s not allowed to.

Legomadx2 · 04/09/2019 07:00

Because he is an anti Semite who is friends with terrorists.

Massive difference between him and someone trying to deliver Brexit which the country voted for.

Warpdrive · 04/09/2019 07:11

Jeremy Corbyn invited Gerry Adams to the houses of parliament in the days following the brighton bomb. He has a record of hanging out with terrorists.

He is either evil or stupid.

I don't think he is evil.

Chloemol · 04/09/2019 08:13

Just take a look at what Corbyn and his friends say they want to do. That should scare you surely. The mans also incapable of making a decision and staying with it, he swings in the wind

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 04/09/2019 08:23

It’s a very poor choice we have

One man who we know will lie his way to get what he wants

And another who has led a pathetically poor opposition

Both wanting to leave the EU just on different terms

And people were desperate to get rid of May ....

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 04/09/2019 08:39

Because he wants everyone to be on an equal level, which will never work. Some will rise to the top of the jug, some will sink to the bottom - it is inevitable and has always been thus. He thinks he can print money until the cows come home or alternatively take it from those who have a bit more and save it.

He thinks every single person who wants to should go to university and have it paid for - this is not a viable proposition. I do think that some people should have their courses paid for, but only those who pay back into society, so for example medical courses, law, nursing, engineering, scientific type degrees should all be free, but those who choose to study golf course design, geography, cartoon drawing and media studies should have to pay for themselves.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 04/09/2019 08:43

And we know what type of person he is

One that will always blame the west governments for the woes of other countries and has such a small minded grasp on politics all will be fine in a socialist utopia

He has never reached out to be friends with Israel Jewish peace groups but has towards Hamas, invites ex IRA members to parliament just after the IRA made an attempt to destroy our democracy and killed members of parliament - how he wasn’t kicked out of the party then I don’t know but far bigger issues where going on than dealing with this pathetic rebel backbench who was always a thorn in the side of Labour leaders he even opposed John Smith! He just somehow got lucky with momentum behind him and now is happy that Labour are more to the left being in power with he opportunity to actually do anything isn’t as important

And not one person can honestly believe he has been a good opposition leader he has been woefully poor

Dapplegrey · 04/09/2019 09:03

On another thread recently a poster was desperately trying to convince me we had at least one left wing newspaper and was unable to do so.
Graphista presumably this snide comment is aimed at me.
I thought we agreed that paper newspapers are on their way out? Do you know the numbers who read left wing websites?
There’s plenty of left wing comment on the Internet.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/09/2019 11:52

I'll just leave this here: order-order.com/2017/06/08/100-times-jeremy-corbyn-sided-terrorists/

I'm not at all keen on the source and certainly some of the references are a bit questionable, but overall the weight of proof seems impossible to ignore

WhateverHappenedToMe · 04/09/2019 12:11

Because he's left wing ..... but mainly because once Labour is elected they will dump his as leader and we'll end up with Diane Abbott.

ForalltheSaints · 04/09/2019 12:17

Red scares started with the Zinoviev letter in 1924, or even before, so this is nothing new.

Alsohuman · 04/09/2019 12:19

Diane Abbott my arse! What planet do some of you live on?

Graphista · 04/09/2019 14:00

How was it snide? Was quite clear I thought.

There isn't a major left wing newspaper and there isn't a left wing major tv channel either.

And even online media is still very heavily biased towards right wing views because even websites and apps are owned by someone! And the major ones are owned by very wealthy media moguls.

And again - Re all the terrorist stuff the tories can be just as bad if not worse but generally better at hiding what they do.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 04/09/2019 14:11

The Tories can be as bad what sort of argument is that

Well usually when this argument is put forward it isn’t when previous senior politicians (from all parties) have been in negotiations and the names are listed Corbyn has never ever been involved in top level negotiations more ones along the lines that are held in your local party headquarters)

We know of Boris Johnson’s dubious character most on here are wanting someone who can take him on, provide a solid opposition and we would have faith in leading the country Corbyn doesn’t funding that role for many many labour supporters for many many reasons that have been listed over and over again

Google is very informative when you are researching you can pick and choose where you get your information from. Corbyn himself has been questioned a number of times in regards to his associates what he says himself is enough to put many voters off voting labour (and as for McDonnell you have to wonder if he wants labour in power or just likes to be an agitator)

Alsohuman · 04/09/2019 14:38

Do you know what? I’d vote for Satan if it meant getting rid of Johnson.

MagpieSong · 04/09/2019 16:34

@Alsohuman - ME TOO. Unless Satan was also a massive racist and for a No Deal Brexit, in which case he can bog off too!

Corbyn isn't more dangerous. We can never know exactly what he will be like as PM unless he gets that job - however, we do know that Johnson is ready to push the country over the edge. No Deal would be terrible. It wouldn't be an end or a certainty. It would mean beginning to negotiate deals that would take years to complete with the UK not really in a position to argue. As no one would know if any preferential trading deals would be set up, businesses would have to plan on the basis that there might not be for the medium term future. It would be likely to increase EU-UK tensions and would cause serious supply issues.

Anyone who is for a deal (or to relook at the situation considering the racism focused scaremongering of the Leave Campaign and dodgy situation with Cambridge Analytica) is better than Johnson.

Unless Corbyn decides to put in Tory policies and cause more homelessness, less affordable housing, more poverty (increasing food bank use), sell off the NHS and leave without a deal, he is not more dangerous than Boris Johnson.
