To ask how many bras you have?

LouLou789 · 27/05/2019 20:51

I noticed today that my neighbour’s washing on her line today included a number of bras. And presumably she had one on, too, which adds to her collection.

I only own two! One decent one and an older one to wear while the other is washed. OK I can understand having extra for, say, wearing a halter top or for sports, but is it me who is unusual, with only two bog standard ones? Do you wear a fresh one every day?

I think 5 everyday and a couple of fancy pieces.

neversleepagain · 27/05/2019 20:53

I always have two at a time, a beige and a white one. In my 20s and 30s I had about 30 in various styles.

Bollockwort · 27/05/2019 20:54

I have about 6 or 7. Each is a different colour/cut so serves a different purpose. I wash them every 3 or 4 days, unless I get super sweaty in which case they go straight in the wash.

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 27/05/2019 20:55

2, because I’m in the process of losing a lot of weight and at £35 a pop I currently only need one to wear and one in the wash until I get to my goal and can buy a shedload 🙂

fedup21 · 27/05/2019 20:57

I have 5 nice bras from Bravissimo and a strapless one.

Thelineisadottoyou · 27/05/2019 21:01

I have just realised from this thread I have too many Blush. I have probably 10 for everyday use and then 5 for special occasions, most from boux Avenue/ Debenhams. Maybe 3 Nike sports bras. I don’t buy shoes/ handbags often underwear is my treat to myself

rainbowunicorn · 27/05/2019 21:03

I have 6 plus 2 sports bras. They are different colours and cuts, e.g flesh coloured for under white blouses and tops. Black and navy as white can show through black or navy tops. T-shirt bra for very fitted T-shirts and a multi way one. The sports bras are washed after each use as they get quite sweaty. I would rarely wear the same one 2 days running but they would be washed every 3rd or 4th wear depending on what I had been doing.
I also replace them regularly as the elastic becomes looser and gives less support over time. I replace usually yearly.

SlimGin · 27/05/2019 21:04

I have 3 nursing bras, and about 7or 8 others that I wear, plus a few Bralets. I have loads of bras that are too small for me but waiting to see what my boobs are like after DD is weaned before I get rid of them!

AppleKatie · 27/05/2019 21:04

1 x sports
3x everyday (2 black and 1 white)

And then 30,000 in sizes that do not fit stuffed into drawers Hmm

Sarahlou63 · 27/05/2019 21:06

Just ordered 5 online so will chuck out all my knackered ones when they arrive, except for my super supportive riding bra which sadly doesn't get used enough.

GoodGirlsGuide · 27/05/2019 21:06

I’ve got about 20 I wear day to day...! 3 white, 3 flesh, 12 black (Lacey, t-shirt, smooth, balcony etc), navy, red and then about 6 sports bras and 3 soft unwired to wear in bed or on flights etc when I want to be comfy Grin. I’ve always had a good few bras but I had breast implants 10 years ago and bought the most beautiful bras then and have been replacing them about one a year. Oh and I’ve got another 6+ ‘sexy’ underwear sets that I wear occasionally Wink.

Ribeebie · 27/05/2019 21:06

I have 3 at the moment that feed as I'm breastfeeding and reluctant to buy more until i know what size I'm going to be once I've stopped feeding. Usually I have about 6-7 plus a sports bra.

MsAwesomeDragon · 27/05/2019 21:08

I have 5. 2 sports bras and 3 everyday bras, although one of the everyday ones is on its way out.

I buy decent quality bras in a GG cup size, so that's at least £30 each unless I manage to find my size in a good sale. I can't justify having more than a couple, and I'm very glad I can afford to buy a couple of decent bras a year.

OldBean2 · 27/05/2019 21:09

20 - 30, white, black, patterned.

OP if you only have two, do you wash one each day?

Listlover · 27/05/2019 21:09

I have 8. It’s taken me a while to get to that as they are semi expensive for me from bravissimo.
I wear a fresh one daily and hand wash in machine every 3-4 days.
If I could wear cheap one I think I’d have loads

kaytee87 · 27/05/2019 21:11

I have 4 every day ones and probably 3 or 4 fancy ones. 32GG so it is expensive though!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 27/05/2019 21:12

7: 3 bralets, 2 'spare' old bras (worn on laundry days!) and 2 sports bras.

WLAH · 27/05/2019 21:12

30 or maybe more... but they all cheap Pennys ones

JaceLancs · 27/05/2019 21:13

Currently 7
1 black
3 white
3 nude
2 are new which I’m saving for next holiday - on my return I’ll dispose of the oldest 2

Thisimmortalcurl · 27/05/2019 21:14

About 30 I think . Perhaps more . However I have small boobs and they are mostly pretty inexpensive. I think when you have larger or unusual sized boobs it can become very expensive.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 27/05/2019 21:15

Probably about 25-30 including 5 sports bras. (There’s a load more in out grown/feeding bras too). I’m a big cup size but try to buy them discounted.

Brastop have free delivery today and free returns. If anyone is in the market for new bras you can search by size.

orangeshoebox · 27/05/2019 21:15

4 everyday ones and 1 dress one

babysharkah · 27/05/2019 21:15

I have two decent black, one decent white and two decent flesh coloured plus a couple of bralettes for comfort.

I also have I think nine sports bras but I go to the gym a lot!!

I definitely don't wear a fresh one every day.

PouncerDarling · 27/05/2019 21:16

I have quite a few - about twenty or more. But not all of them fit me all the time. It depends on weight fluctuations and cycle dates. At any given time, I usually change between one structured and one soft depending on what I'm wearing.

My bra collection cost in total is hundreds of pounds. They're all in difficult to locate sizes, which means paying about £40 each.

cheeseandcrackers · 27/05/2019 21:16

Probably about 5 black ones, one blue one red, three beige/white all for every day and another half dozen as part of fancy sets
