To ask how many bras you have?

I noticed today that my neighbour’s washing on her line today included a number of bras. And presumably she had one on, too, which adds to her collection.

I only own two! One decent one and an older one to wear while the other is washed. OK I can understand having extra for, say, wearing a halter top or for sports, but is it me who is unusual, with only two bog standard ones? Do you wear a fresh one every day?

About 8

princesspuds2004 · 27/05/2019 23:02

I currently have 145 all with matching knickers, kept on belt hangers which hold 12 sets on each all stored on a double clothes rail as I have nowhere else to store them.

Reading this thread has made me realise I may have an underwear addiction Grin

TeaAndChocolateBiscuits · 27/05/2019 23:02

I have about 10, but wear the same 2, and they all look more or less the same. 🤦‍♀️

MyBlueMoonbeam · 27/05/2019 23:03

About 6 which more or less fit depending on the day that's in it.

Some lovely fancy underwear sets somewhere that are about 3 sizes too small.

LaLaLanded · 27/05/2019 23:05

I probably have about 30... but only wear about 5.

Some are ‘sexy’ and I can’t wear them with clothes... so that was a mistake. Some are far too big and should really be thrown out. Some just make no sense.

So... the top 5 it is. And really I tend to rotate 3 of them (the comfiest).

AlmostAJillSandwich · 27/05/2019 23:08

i recently spent about £160 on 36 new ones. on top of the few i have still decent wearable i have 42ish

FuckMNDoubleStandards · 27/05/2019 23:09

About 15 or so.. although often find myself gravitating to the usual favourites. A good comfortable bra is a miracle in itself!

36 new bras?!

bananasandwicheseveryday · 27/05/2019 23:10

Probably around 15 in everyday use - same style but a range of colours which, though not bought as sets, or even from the same store, sort of go with my knickers. I have another ten or so waiting in the wings, to replace my current lot as necessary. I wear a clean bra every day - don't understand why anybody would shower and then put dirty clothes back on!

concernedforthefuture · 27/05/2019 23:15

Two for everyday (one to wear and one in the wash) plus a sports bra for running.

goodwinter · 27/05/2019 23:17

Two: one nude, one black.

Sweet jesus Shock that's thousands of pounds worth of bras!

Where on earth do you buy 36 bras for that price!! That’s barely £5 per bra 🤔 I spend that on 2 bras!! I can’t find decent bras In any high street shops as such I have to go to a lingerie shop and get fitted etc (and I am a 32b normally)

bonzo77 · 27/05/2019 23:26

3, 2 black one nude. I am a funny size (28G / 30 ff ) and have sensory issues around clothes (and other stuff). This is the only style that I find bearable and gives reasonable shape. But they’re £40 each and 3 is sufficient.

princesspuds2004 · 27/05/2019 23:38

goodwinter I know, I added it all up the other day Blush

DragonTrainer3 · 28/05/2019 00:05

Blimey, everyone's got loads! At any one time I've got 5/6. At the moment I've got 3 really lovely comfy ones from Rigby and Peller, which are the best I've found for my size but cost an arm and a leg.

Also another 2 cheap ones from Marisota that I'll probably have to give away because the underwiring is sticking in under my armpits and giving me bruises (same size as the R&P ones) and one other pair from Marisota which is reasonable and I'll probably get another one of those at some point for everyday wear.

2

WishIwas19again · 28/05/2019 06:34

I used to have about 10 but hardly wore any of them so last year switched to 4 as part of a clothes declutter and after being measured and shifting from wearing 38B to a 34F. 2 nude, one purple t shirt bra, one sports. All from Asda about £4 each!

b0bb1n · 28/05/2019 07:03

I don't have any bras that fit anymore, I've been wearing sports bras and two cheap cloth nursing 'bras' since giving birth last month. I really don't know what size I am anymore and haven't got a lot of spare money for luxuries. At least these are really comfortable.

Liz38 · 28/05/2019 07:35

2 plus a sports bra. Expensive size, I wear bravissimo now, was r and p before DD. I hand wash because it makes then last longer and dread the day one does and has to be replaced. Every year I mean to get a few more and every year there are more important things to spend money on!

vampirethriller · 28/05/2019 07:37

6 and none of the bastards are comfortable.

WalkAwaySugarbear · 28/05/2019 07:40

About 15 but half of them are wireless soft bras.

BogstandardBelle · 28/05/2019 07:45

4 in total, 2 white and 2 black. I usually wear them for 2 days then wash.

I wore lots of sexy stuff when younger - corsets and matching stuff. But those days are long gone!

I manage my entire wardrobe on a »one in -one out» basis, thanks to Kondo.

slashlover · 28/05/2019 07:59

3 - 1 black, 1 white and 1 neon pink. If they weren't so expensive then I would have more. (34k)

jackstini · 28/05/2019 08:08

Over 20 - Various colours, 1 sports bra, 3 basics with convertible straps (black, white, nude) and the rest glorious colours & fabrics

  • all with 2-3 pairs of matching pants.

I do wear matching underwear every day. A tip someone gave me years ago to feel good and special from the first thing you put on - it works for me
