Me to

PurpleDaisies · 30/04/2019 21:31

You know how many units that is?

You know how many calories that is?

Definitely unreasonable. Why are you drinking so much?

SinglePringle · 30/04/2019 21:31

I would be Fatty McFatFat. And drunk.

thecatsthecats · 30/04/2019 21:31

You are reliant on it. It is too much.

managedmis · 30/04/2019 21:32

It's a bit much tbh

hidinginthenightgarden · 30/04/2019 21:32

Well it's your body so its up to you.
Your body won't put up with it forever though and if it is likely to cause ill health that then impacts on others then yes yabu.

TheInvestigator · 30/04/2019 21:32

You know it's going to kill you... or at the very least cause you severe problems as you are. But as long as that doesn't impact on anyone else and you don't expect people to look after you then go ahead.

Bluntness100 · 30/04/2019 21:32

How often do you go without it that cam confirm you're not reliant?

A bottle a night would seem like a habit to me at least.

blackteasplease · 30/04/2019 21:32

You probably are reliant on it though.

Thelineisadottoyou · 30/04/2019 21:32

It’s your choice, same as some people choose to smoke or eat unhealthy foods. You know it’s not good for you though and are you being honest when you say you don’t rely on it?

Disquieted1 · 30/04/2019 21:33

Prepare to hear about units and guidelines.
Ignore them. Life's too short.

Sarahlou63 · 30/04/2019 21:33

Been doing the same since I was about 17. Now 56, slim (ish!), physically active and have no wish to live forever. Cheers!

PurpleDaisies · 30/04/2019 21:33

It's a bit much tbh

That’s the biggest understatement I’ve seen in a while...

70 units a week. Recommended is 14 max.

lastqueenofscotland · 30/04/2019 21:33

I love a drink but I’d be obese and it’s a lot of strain on your liver

TheInvestigator · 30/04/2019 21:33

@Disquieted1

And even shorter when you drink a bottle of wine a night!

Mum21beauty · 30/04/2019 21:34

I'm not reliant on it because if I was i would want it in the day and morning but I don't. It just relaxes me and takes my stresses away ! I do t actually know why to be honest . I have a full time job . An 18 month old baby and a hubby.. I guess I just love the vino ! I have actually lost 2 stone in the last 6 months so hoping it's the wine diet 😂😂

MyDcAreMarvel · 30/04/2019 21:34

I am not reliant on it - you are an alcoholic.

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 30/04/2019 21:35

Calorie intake would be an issue, but then. I one bats an eye lid if you ordered pizza every night.

Yes OP, a bottle of wine a night is unhealthy and I disagree when you say you don’t “need” it.

Something is drawing you into having a bottle of wine nightly, and I think you believing you enjoy it is deflecting yourself from the real issue, what ever that issue is that your finding yourself drawing to the bottle nightly.

Bluntness100 · 30/04/2019 21:35

Actually thr body processes alcohol differently. I have a couple of friends who drink like this both slim, but they don't eat with it. What makes you fat is what you eat whilst you're drinking.

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 30/04/2019 21:36

No OP just because your not reliant on it during the day does not mean your not reliant on it.

Alcoholics don’t have to drink daily to be alcoholics!!! Is a myth and common misperception.

showgirl · 30/04/2019 21:36

10 units in a bottle of wine. Its recommended that women drink no more than 14 units of alcohol a week. It's also recommended that you take a day off from alcohol. I grew up with an alcoholic parent. If you have kids please consider that it may be a bigger issue than you think.

TheInvestigator · 30/04/2019 21:37

So you're drunk every night whilst in charge of a baby? Is your husband at least sober?

Nothing wrong with a glass of wine or beer or whatever, but a bottle a night and never drying out whilst looking after a baby.... loads of people are going to say that's fine and you will agree with them, but it's not.

Iggly · 30/04/2019 21:37

Just because you don’t want it in the morning, you think you’re not reliant on it?

Try and stop for a week.

PurpleDaisies · 30/04/2019 21:37

This is five times the recommended limit. Not a little bit over. Five times.

You are going to kill your liver.

Bluntness100 · 30/04/2019 21:38

Op,you can be a alcoholic and only drink at night, it doesn't mean you need to crave it during the day, as long as you know you're getting your fix st night that often suffices until the latter stages of alcoholism.

When's the last time you spent a few days alcohol free so you know you're not reliant? It's not enough just to tell youtself you're not whilst chugging a glass down.
