Hello everyone, here's thread 2.

I'd be very grateful if someone could do a clicky link to the last one. Still can't figure it out.

Thanks!

They do look very happy Grin

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/05/2019 22:24

I would go as far to say that the Royal Family have no power

I'm not so sure about that. Magic - a lot depends on what power's perceived to be, and if we use the view that it comes from influence, they've got a hell of a lot

It's certainly true that the current expectation's to be neutral and to limit opinions, but good luck with that when and if we get Charles on the throne. Then again, his approach might even help in getting rid of the monarchy - which would suit some of us just fine

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 22:25

half bobsled.

😂😂

Very good point. Charles will be their downfall I reckon.

Oh I completely missed the little stick erections! And I only recently had my eyes tested.

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 22:32

Do go back to the opticians and complain your prescription is no good for viewing stick men's willies Smile

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/05/2019 22:32

RubberTreePlant have you ever been to Prague? They've got a replica of the chair in the Sex Museum there ... not that I'm suggesting you spend all your time in sex museums of course Wink

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 01/05/2019 22:34

I'm so sorry, the voice inside my head read a post in MM's voice and it seemed funny to me. I didn't mean to start a ruck.Blush

lyralalala · 01/05/2019 22:36

They've even drawn little stick erections! Attention to detail or what?! grin

I had to try and explain the sudden laughter to my DH.
Stick men with erections probably means anytime I ever say "well mumsnet agrees with me" will now be completely ruined!!

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 22:36

Oh yes I think it might have been Prague! Thanks that was beginning to really annoy me. (Precisely because I have no particular sex museum habit, honest Grin)

lyralalala · 01/05/2019 22:38

Very good point. Charles will be their downfall I reckon.

My Nana always used to say that the Queen would try and outlive Charles for precisely that reason.

ByeClaire · 01/05/2019 22:41

On my to do list thanks to this thread:

  1. Go back to specsavers and say that my new glasses are not good enough as they don’t pass the stick man erection test.
  1. Visit Prague and possibly go into the sex museum if happening to be wandering past.
  1. Google ‘international sex museums’ out of curiosity to see how many there are in the world.
TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/05/2019 22:44

My God that chair, looks like something you'd have your smear test in!

Laodamia · 01/05/2019 22:47

I remember reading that it was considered most uncouth for a gentleman to offer a lady his seat in case the seat was still warm from his bottom. Dirty Bertie clearly had no such seating qualms!

queenofarles · 01/05/2019 22:47

That Chair Shock how do they clean up the mess after!

lyralalala · 01/05/2019 22:48

3. Google ‘international sex museums’ out of curiosity to see how many there are in the world.

There’s one in Barcelona.

I tried to steer my MIL by the person giving out leaflets but she took one and started reading it out loudly until she realised what she was saying.

My teens were outraged. DH and I almost cried laughing.

ByeClaire · 01/05/2019 22:49

I think the clue Laodamia is the word “lady” 😉

As for cleaning, well that’s what servers are for.

ByeClaire · 01/05/2019 22:50

lyra Grin I am so into outraging tweens and teens at the moment.

And yes there is. And a phallic museum in Iceland.
Thanks CNN!

Tell you what ... I'll promise to believe you, if you believe me that I only knew because the wretched thing was displayed in the window when I walked past

Deal? Wink Grin

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/05/2019 22:53

Carbolic Soap I hope!
Or Bleach. Claude Berthollet discovered sodium hypochlorite, which became the first commercial bleach, named Eau de Javel ("Javel water") after the borough in Paris where it was produced.
I suppose Eau de Javel would be quite apt if you think of javelin arse Smile

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 22:53

Deal Smile

lyralalala · 01/05/2019 22:54

ByeClaire You should come round here. It's hilarious atm. DS is 17, DNephew is 17, and my twins are 16.

Last weekend I wore a dress that had a small amount of cleavage on show and DH and I... wait for it... danced at a wedding. In front of everyone including loads of other people people they know.

Grin
