If a statement was to come from anyone, it would come from the DoC. I suspect that is why she has faded into a whippet, as she doesn't seem to court the limelight.

The Palace won't comment on this until something substantiated is printed (i.e. photographs).

Just saw this article on cheat sheet about why the rumours aren’t being denied and they did a photo montage comparing the last year of Diana’s marriage to the Cambridge’s. How sweet of them. Claiming it’s evidence that there’s no truth to it. I guess they kind of have a point. They ooze chemistry and Kate always looks so happy.

However, on topic, despite news of the affair being all over social media for days, there is still no response from the palace. Surely it gets to a point where they simply have to address it

Whu add fuel to the flames and give the rumours legitimacy, it would give the tabloid press carte blanche to go to town on the story.

I don't think the palace will comment. They've never commented on any of Philip's rumours, not even when he was rumoured to be having an affair with Princess Alexandra.

If you are ever going to break the rules of not commenting it would surely be when your husband was accussed of boffing your cousin?!

If rumours are true then there's very little to be done in terms of comment. Truth is a complete defence to defamation.

I actually can't think of any occasion where the Duchess has made a statement on anything. Or any of them for that matter. Philip manages to give his tuppence worth, but mainly they've a voiceless mass.......

Ok so now that you bring it up... in my twenties I really liked this Scottish guy. It was uni exam break and he was a PhD stem cell researcher. Anyway, it was cold, we were on an island in Australia and I had a huge crush on him. Group of us were sleeping in a cabin and I woke up to him kissing my feet which wasn’t what I was hoping for. That’s all that ever happened between us which was the weird thing. There wasn’t a point to this story, just reminded me.
