After getting sucked into the vortex that is the Royal Family, I really wanted to watch Dianas interview on Panorama. Unfortunately I can only find bits and pieces of it on YouTube. Any ideas how to get the whole interview?

When someone on the other thread said something about the QM treating the heirs to the throne differently from the other children, I did wonder whether Margarets problems were in part due to that. For all the moaning about what a burden it is to be heir, they are the be all and end all. The younger siblings are just spare parts in case the main event doesn't work out. Harry and Margaret apparently both said they would take the Crown. Must say something about how they perceived they were seen by their extended family while their older siblings saw it as a burden, from the outside they saw the difference between the roles of their and spare. I think Anne was lucky that she was her father's favourite and she was strong enough to more or less go her own way.

In fairness, you could put the DOC in anything and she would look stunning.

I understand (on good authority) that DOY & Ferg still very much live as a family unit. He also has SHLs to manage his reputation.

I also have on another (also good) authority, that there was a bit of bother in Saudi a couple of years ago when he had to leave in a hurry due to the individuals who were in his room. HMG had to step in and get him out.

PS don’t get me wrong - she would look knock out in more edgy stuff and I would love to see it, but I think she plays it safe. The downsides of getting it wrong are too huge. I love her penchant for Alexander McQueen and the various Erdem frocks she has worn.

That is a very good point, @whatdoesntkillus. Kate is dressing for posterity. I do like her formal style actually, and I think most of her outfits will stand the test of time. Even the Queen gets it wrong sometimes. Anyone remember the harlequin dress?

If I were Kate I'd copy a bit of Letizia from Spain's style. She generally looks fantastic! But I agree that she doesn't seem especially interested in clothes and is most at home in a pair of skinny jeans a breton top.

Meghan does have a gorgeous smile. I like how her & Harry have the nose when you see them in profile.

Talking of noses does anyone remember that kids programme called The Queen's Nose? If I remember correctly it involved a 50 pence piece.

whatdoesntkillus you're taking the mickey I assume. Kate dresses like she's in some weird time warp. She wore a perfectly pretty French Connection dress last summer (no doubt tailored to her figure, but it looked age appropriate and relaxed) but the stuff she wears to events is utterly ghastly. She looks absurd and completely out of her depth, which she probably is - her choice. The RF is nuts.

She worked for Jigsaw because it was a part-time job that suited her situation at the time I suppose. It's not like she was there a particularly long time.

Why does Her Maj get to tell Kate what to wear? I'd tell Her Maj where to get off rather than look like a prize dick in silly hats and A line coat dresses.

It’s a bit like the chief exec having a uniform policy really I suppose.

For what its worth i like MM, i had a bit of a crush on her in Suits. I like to think her and Harry are nice in love people!

Kates legs are amazing, i had one baby and resemble a saggy whale. Shes had three and looks amazing!
