Don't want to make this a TAAT, so I'll just say I have enjoyed everyone's observations on the royal family and it's made a boring weekend go much quicker Grin

Please continue if you wish to......

I like how her & Harry have the nose when you see them in profile.

He was born with his. Hers is perfectly lovely too.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 28/04/2019 20:56

HMG I can do. Her Majesty's Government. No idea about the other one.

whatdoesntkillus · 28/04/2019 20:56

@Iamnotagoddess I don’t know - but surely if she was fashion mad she would have interned at Alexander McQueen or whatever - wasn’t it a buying position at Jigsaw etc? Family connection? I think that could have been anything, she just needed some sort of non-serious job experience on her CV.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/04/2019 20:57

SHL = Sh1t hot lawyer

HMG = Her Majesty's Government (usually)

Love the Princess Margaret routine. 2 hours in bed listening to the radio and reading. That's me now I'm retired! Must remember to add the vodka pick-me-up tomorrow! Grin

Iamnotagoddess · 28/04/2019 20:57

The clothes in Suits were out of this world Envy

I wouldn’t ignore a note from the queen. I think that would take some serious brass neck in practice.

The genius that is Tracy Ullman on Princess Margaret:

And on Camilla taking care of Charlotte:

Thanks for the SHL explanation P&P.

Oh god yes the clothes in suits, swoon.

And Gabriel Macht,

In living memory/at present a number of the royals swing both ways. Several enjoy/have enjoyed extra marital affairs. Several were alcoholic and despite unbelievable wealth left horrendous debt in death. Still - great role models for the country!
MM - shock horror - a royal who has actually worked and earned her own money 😱😱

Queen Letizia of Spain dresses beautifully. To me when you have it enjoy it, that glorious bloom of womanhood will fade with time.

What Would Princess Margaret Do? is my new guiding mantra in life...

#WWPMD

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/04/2019 21:02

Margaret adored her children & would spend quite a bit of time with them especially Sarah & as they got older.
Margaret was very intelligent & unfortunately was not given as a rigorous education unlike the Queen. This did rankle Margaret and she did complain to no avail.
Different times then.

I like to think I would, but no. If I got a letter criticising my clothes from the Queen I'd say sorry, then go and cry whilst swigging vodka.

The clothes in Suits were out of this world

They were that. Not always terribly practical though...

Sorry, was trying to be vague and cryptic, but must have been too much so.

SHL = Shit Hot Lawyer
HMG = Her Maj's Government

MarkleSparkle · 28/04/2019 21:05

How do you not put on weight drinking vodka from lunchtime and having a 4 course lunch every day?

Iamnotagoddess · 28/04/2019 21:06

@

All they did was swam around the office and court and shag each other Grin

Iamnotagoddess · 28/04/2019 21:07

*swan!

MissParple · 28/04/2019 21:08

@TracyBeakerSoYeah, that's interesting that she was close to her kids. Maybe she was a more pleasant person when she was with them.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 28/04/2019 21:08

I think it's OK to say here that the DoS may have had some cosmetic work done. It has been suggested on other forums (fora?).

If so it has been very well done.

ByeClaire · 28/04/2019 21:09

In the Telegraph article I posted earlier about DOY, it stated as fact how he had to have his duties curtailed by the government. That wasn’t to do with Saudi but his association with a convicted American paedophilic and them laying off Fergie’s loans. I suspect he’s probably the biggest headache for the government out of all the royals.

RubberTreePlant · 28/04/2019 21:10

MM - shock horror - a royal who has actually worked and earned her own money 😱

That isn't what attracts the criticism, though, is it?

Spinning vigorously to the press never goes down well. Diana was heavily criticised for doing the same.

Telling fibs. Fergie got blasted for that too.

Outrageous clothes bills and spending generally. Both Diana and Fergie were slaughtered for that in the eighties.
