I will start and I will first say that I've only ever spoken about this online because it's so weird I just can't say it out loud

I was 14 and on a school trip to France, one night we stayed in a Hostel. Was a nice hostel. Anyway I woke up the next day to find a shit in my bed. An actual human shite. Now I know it was not mine, I had worn leggings to bed so there's no chance it would have made it's way down me leg without least being a bit battered and with smudge marks. It was laid perfectly in my bed, like some sort of offering.

So that's mine. Please share yours and if you're willing, offer some explanations to my poodicament

A nasty school girl prank, I assume.

TovaGoldCoin · 27/04/2019 19:26

Although, a child in my class told me his mummy and daddy did lots of shouting at granny's house after Christmas because "daddy had too much beer and did a poo in the bed". I remained entirely professional, and didn't even giggle. Or tell any of my colleagues Halo

HuhZing · 27/04/2019 19:33

Maybe a horrid prank . Mine is a weird but nice one- I went on a night out on Friday 13th last year. After an hour into night one friend noticed the big diamond in my engagement ring had fallen out. I was absolutely heartbroken- checked everywhere we’d been. The next day I check everywhere and in all the clothes I worn, bag purse etc just in case but it was gone.
My lovely dh being the amazing bloke he is took me to town to see about getting the diamond replaced but jewellers advises him cheaper to buy another ring which is what he did.
Anyway months went by until one day dd came downstairs holding something sparkly - I found a jewel mummy on my Barbie camper van. Yes my diamond!
How it was found and not hoovered away I’ll never know. We’d played together with that toy so god knows where it was in the months in between?!
Was very happy to be reunited with it - dh less so as he had already brought the replacement one!

If it was it was from a teacher! I was sharing a room with a teacher because the girl who was meant to be with me ended up going home a day prior because she was homesick. God forbid I be allowed a room on my own.

It did have patio doors that locked at the back, but they were indeed locked so only someone with a key would be able to get in.

Anyone who lives in or has been to France, does this hostel with patio doors in the room ring a bell because I've always wondered what it was called

Op thank you for this. I have just laughed so much Grin that’s so grim and should not be funny but it is. BlushGrin

Prequelle · 27/04/2019 19:48

Honestly it's one of those things that I sometimes think about before I go to sleep, nearly 14 years later

Thing is I didn't even tell anyone!! I just slyly scooped it in tissue and flushed the thing. And I was so thankful that it was a place where you had to strip and bag your own bedding because I could bundle - it complete with slight turd smear - away before anyone seen.

I don't know if you all are familiar with the "pennies from heaven" superstition. Basically, it's that when you find a penny, it's someone who's passed on trying to communicate with you. Nothing I personally believed, but I'd heard of it.

I was at work, where I had a private office, with a locking door, which I had to keep locked at all times when I wasn't in it, because of the nature of some of my documents. On this day, I noticed one of my earrings was missing from my ear, so I took off the other one and laid it on my computer. A while later, I went to the ladies' room, locking the door to my office when I left. When I came back, maybe 5 minutes later, I sat down at my desk, and there was a penny laying on top of the earring. This particular day was the anniversary of my dad's death.

manicinsomniac · 27/04/2019 19:51

Totally missing the point but a teacher shared a room with just one pupil? Was she insane?! I'm sure you're lovely but she left herself wide open to a whole host of issues (including being suspected of doing a shit in your bed it seems! Grin)

When I was about 12 there were high winds overnight and the side gate blew open between my garden and the road. We couldn't find our rabbit anywhere. I searched the garden all morning. My dad walked up and down the road searching. We called the RSPCA. I was so upset. The next morning, I was sitting in my window and I prayed for my rabbit to come back safely. When I opened my eyes she was sitting about a foot inside the gate. I imagine she was probably somewhere in the garden the whole time really but I like to think I had a little mini miracle.

On my way back from work one day on a dual carriage way. A car passed me and scraped down the street side of me. I made a loud scraping noise and scared me to death. The driver didn’t stop but I pulled over as soon as I got the chance and looked at my car. Not a single mark on it! I felt the impact and heard it but my car had no marks on it. What the hell happened??

steff13 · 27/04/2019 19:55

Maybe the teacher was a sleepwalker? I used to walk in my sleep when I was little, and my mom caught me peeing in several strange places. 😳

Prequelle · 27/04/2019 19:57

manic thinking back you're right, maybe a sign of the times though? I couldn't be trusted apparently because the previous days we had snuck some of the boys into our room Blush got caught. That was quite funny thinking back, we hid them in the bath but teacher could see as soon as she walked in because of their reflection in a mirror on the wall

And I love your rabbit story! That's lovely

HuhZing, a similar thing happened to my mom.
She lost a stone from her engagement ring not long after my dad had died, so she was especially upset.
About three weeks later it was spotted glinting on the mat in front of the kitchen sink, which had been hoovered a few times.
It was a complete mystery as to why it hadn't either been spotted or hoovered up if it had been there all along.

Told this story a few times on MN but my gran died and there was a thunderstorm at her funeral and the lightening hit our house and caused small damage considering and mum said it head her mum saying goodbye. That was 1981 ish. My mum always said she'd make a storm when she died / it was something she spoke of many many many times. 30'years later my mum died. There was, what they called a supercell thunderstorm literally 30
Minutes after she died in the U.K. - 28 June 2012
Very strange!

Many years ago husband and I were taking a short cut through our local train station,
Think it was about midnight and all was shut up,and dark .
We heard a voice call from other platform asking when next train was due ? we couldn't see them as it was dark .
We said no more trains due until the next morning.
Next thing we know a train silently pulls up and it was lit by oil lamps and looked very old .
we can only imagine the person got on and it then silently left the station !
Freaked us both out
This was 30 years ago and we both still believe it was a ghost train.

3 weird things happened in my house growing up, we had a built in shelf in my bedroom, my mum bought a new mirror and laid it flat on the shelf, the mirror was smaller than the shelf so not hanging off, a few hours later we were sat downstairs and heard a massive crash, ran up to find it in pieces on the floor.

Second I had a furby and it would sleep in my bed but as I kicked it in the night it would turn on, I eventually took the batteries out when I went to sleep except one morning I got told off as my furby was talking all night long...

And thirdly I sat up in the night and looked out into the hallway which had a light on, my shadow sat up with me obviously but when I sat back down my shadow was still sitting up Confused

MarvelandDC · 27/04/2019 20:58

I've posted about this before.

I kept getting voicemails on my house phone for a random woman called Debbie Black, from a fairly local medical centre, let's call it Westfield Health Centre. This was a regular thing.

Anyway, one day the house phone rang and I answered it, it was the medical centre asking for Debbie Black. I explained that they had the wrong number and that I kept getting these messages. It quickly became apparent that the person calling couldn't hear me, and was actually speaking to Debbie Black, talking about making an appointment to come in. So I could hear the person from the medical centre talking, but I couldn't hear Debbie, and neither Debbie or the caller could hear me.

I ended the call, did 1471 and rang the number straight back. I got through to the medical centre and told them what was happening, how I kept getting phone calls for a Debbie Black and now I could hear a conversation.

What was strange was that although they confirmed I had got through to Westfield Health Centre, and I'd rang the number that had called me, they were adamant that nobody there had made a call, but more strangely that they did not have anyone called Debbie Black on their systems.

We moved into our first house together and started to make it home with lots of little bits and pieces.

About a year after moving in I kept being woken up at night by a strange clicking sound, almost like a high pitched drumming.

It infuriated me as I couldn't figure out where it was coming from - it had to be in the walls or roof somewhere and I suspected mice although the sound it made was too fast and repetitive.

It went on intermittently for about a year until it started to get louder and more insistent, it could go on for hours.

I moved slowly around the room I had pinpointed it to and suddenly realised it was coming from a small (20cmx30cm) painted chest of drawers I had bought from TKMaxx 2 years earlier.

I took out all the drawers and still the sound came from the main body of the drawers.

I figured it had to be an insect so I cleared a shelf in the freezer and put it in. I left it for 6 months and took it out.

It was fine for about 3 months and then the sound started again.

I took it to the dump.

We moved house a couple of years later and guess what?

Same bloody sound, this time in my chimmey.

We're moving :)

flumpy I was born during a thunderstorm in 1981. It thundered at my granddad's funeral years later and at my cousins wedding too.

QueenBeex · 27/04/2019 21:10

Boohootoyootoo what are you going to do if it happens in the new house too though?

LucyAutumn · 27/04/2019 21:13

Prequelle- could the shit have already been in the bed when you got in?

Take the whole family to a sheep dip.

Or get ear plugs

Pretty sure it's a death watch beetle - I doubt it followed us but it's pretty bad luck to get one twice!!
