I will start and I will first say that I've only ever spoken about this online because it's so weird I just can't say it out loud

I was 14 and on a school trip to France, one night we stayed in a Hostel. Was a nice hostel. Anyway I woke up the next day to find a shit in my bed. An actual human shite. Now I know it was not mine, I had worn leggings to bed so there's no chance it would have made it's way down me leg without least being a bit battered and with smudge marks. It was laid perfectly in my bed, like some sort of offering.

So that's mine. Please share yours and if you're willing, offer some explanations to my poodicament

I've had a phantom night shitter too OP. I used to have a little soft toy dog that had long droopy ears and I called it Benji. It slept at the end of my bunk bed. I must have been maybe 6 or 7 and woke one morning to find a poo lying on one of Benji's ears - just me, my (much older) sister and parents in the house. I'd completely forgotten about it until I opened this thread!

SweetMarmalade · 28/04/2019 00:18

Prequelle Grin perhaps that’s it then. It was a foreign poo so didn’t seem familiar. Still you treated it lovingly and didn’t roll onto it at least.

Prequelle · 28/04/2019 00:19

larry don't hahaha

what how strange! Poor puppy with a poo ear.

magissa if it wasn't for the fact you said toddler DD, I would have thought you were my mum. She told me nearly the EXACT same story except in hers she was lied in bed and she could hear footsteps coming up the stairs, she ran and grabbed me out of the cot and a bit after the mirror above smashed into my cot where I would have been. No explanation for the footsteps and never heard them again. I forgot all about that!

Love this thread although nothing to add myself!

I had a weird one a couple of weeks ago.

Woke up in the middle of the night with a bad stomach. Went to the toilet, did my thing.

As I flushed, I got a hot, searing pain in my back. Jumped up in time to see a light bulb being flushed down the toilet. Looked up in confusion, as the light was still on.

Went down to the kitchen to get a glass of water, and every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen was wide open.

JonSnowsCloak · 28/04/2019 00:49

douavocado this reminds me of when I went to the Micky Flanagan gig in Manchester arena, have been many times before and as we were walking out felt really weird walking towards the exit by the train station, and thought to myself what if there was a terrorist attack here where would I run to and what if I went the loo when it happened as I would lose my DP. Two weeks or so later the news broke about the bomb going off just by where we had been and it really scared me id thought that, as it's something that had never crossed my mind before in a place like that.

Prequelle · 28/04/2019 00:49

Well that's new one, a lightbulb going for a skydive down your back whilst you're mid pee

I am so confused and want to know more, are you still in the house?!

OP posts:
LucyAutumn · 28/04/2019 01:00

I also want to know more about the lightbulb and cupboard doors, was you completely awake?

BoundByBriars · 28/04/2019 01:50

That’s freaky, Bitter!!

Years ago I was living in a village with my boyfriend. I had gone out for the evening and a young bloke phoned my (ex-directory number) at around 10.30pm and asked for me by name (I have an uncommon, usually male name). Boyfriend says I’m out and caller asks him to tell me that David Smith called (can’t remember the actual surname now but it was a common one).

When I got in and to bed boyfriend enquiringly asked who David Smith was as he called for me. I hadn’t a clue, so in the morning redialled the last number (it was the nearest town area code) and an older woman answered. She called out for David, saying it was my name and as he got to the phone he didn’t let me say anything, just said straight away, “sorry about last night, I got the wrong number.” I said he asked for me by name, he then said he was trying to call his female friend with the same uncommon, usually male name in a city over an hour away as we apparently had almost the exact same number. I got freaked out and hung up.

If he had a friend with my name, why didn’t he say hi at first before realising it was the wrong one? How did he know it was me?

It’s really bugged me ever since that I never got to the bottom of it. I didn’t know anyone from that town, he sounded quite young and why did he leave his name if a) I didn’t know him and b) if he was going to deny it in the morning? Confused

Another weird incident is I DID have a premonition once. I was working in a cake factory and going to top up my bucket of melted chocolate for decorating. As I walked round the corner to the chocolate vats, I saw the whole area covered with chocolate and it pouring from the tap. Someone was bent over trying to fit the tap back on.

In an instant the whole scene vanished, it was the most bizarre experience ever. I laughed to myself and thought how cool that would be, bent down to turn the tap on to fill my bucket and the whole tap and valve came off in my hand. Hot chocolate was spewing everywhere, burning me as I tried to fit the tap back on before I was pulled away and splashed with cold water by some other members of staff. The whole time they were wiping me down I was in a complete trance trying to explain what had just happened, and they thought I was in shock from the burns!

I have no logical explanation for it but it really did happen. I wasn’t imagining what it might look like if there was a chocolate spillage, it shocked me turning the corner and actually seeing it for about 3 seconds before it vanished.

LeilaDarling · 28/04/2019 07:39

BoundByBriars this is my fav!!! On both counts, the inexplicable mystery of it all!
As for the chocolate it reminds me of a scene from Willy Wonka, this is a great thread!
And the postcard 20 years after he died as well, just wonderful!!!

Prequelle · 28/04/2019 08:13

bound that's bloody amazing

These are great

Bigmango · 28/04/2019 09:17

So I’m definitely not a woo woo person as someone else put it but I’ve never found a rational explanation for this...

My and oh were in bed one night. Just turned the lights off to go sleep and we both heard a kind of ding sound like a lightbulb popping from above us. We turned the side light back on and the bulb above us was intact. Suddenly in between us we realised there was shards of glass that looked like the bottom of an old glass bottle. About 3 of them. Windows and doors were all closed, no one else in the house, all glasses and bulbs in the house intact. Have literally NO explanation for it. I’m thinking other dimensions...

BoundByBriars · 28/04/2019 09:57

leila Yes, I was an Oompa Loompa!

mango What, actually in your bed? How very strange. Did you keep them?

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 28/04/2019 10:17

I was on holiday abroad with Exh,woke up and sat up.Looked over and saw the image of a young boy with blonde hair who gradually faded away.Very strange.

cliffdiver · 28/04/2019 10:42

Years ago, DH and I lived in a flat.

I used to keep my car key and my front door key separate.

One day, leaving for work I could not find the front door key. After searching for ages I gave up and left for work (door didn't need to be locked with a key).

I got in my car and in the beverage holder pot was my front door key... I don't understand how I got into the flat the day before.

DH's job at the time meant he was never home before me, so could not have let me in!

dustarr73 · 28/04/2019 10:42

I was upstairs feeding ds 3.My ds 2 was about 12.He came from the toilet and straight in to his room. The rooms where facing each other.About 2 seconds later,he came up the stairs in to his room.Reaaly freaked me out.

driftinghaze · 28/04/2019 11:03

My husband was asked if a family member of his could borrow something he'd been given after his father had died for a special family event.

My father in law had been dead for 15 years and neither of us could remember my husband being given the item, or any of the other items that my mother in law said had been passed onto him for that matter and they were things which we'd have wanted to take care of. He told the family member that he didn't have it.

A few days later he was tidying the garage and moved some boxes around on the shelves. There was one, still taped up with parcel tape from when we moved house six years ago, which he'd placed on the floor and didn't put back for some unknown reason and he kept having to step over it as he moved around.

He finally picked it up but decided to open it to see what it contained and inside were his Dad's belongings.

dustarr73 · 28/04/2019 11:38

I had a dream last year that my mam and uncle[both deceased]where pushing a pram.I was with them.

I then found out a few weeks later my ds and his gf where expecting a baby.I told my eldest ds about the dream when the dream happened

Doyouavocado · 28/04/2019 12:18

billhubbard I love this! Did you ever try and find out more info?

Bigmango · 28/04/2019 12:52

@bound yes we did for a bit. Oh threw them out eventually but I wish we had kept them. Can still vividly picture them though. Very old thick glass. Totally baffled. When we moved house I was convinced we would find the solution but nada... definitely has made me think there might be more than we know out there which is very VERY out of keeping with my usual beliefs.

Bigmango · 28/04/2019 12:53

This is a great thread by the way! They had a similar one of reddit and some surprisingly similar stories - particularly with phone calls. One guy thinks he spoke to himself at work when he was off sick!

jitterbug5 · 29/04/2019 07:18

Can people carry on writing their experiences please, I bloody love this thread!! 😂 I even moved to reddit after PP suggested but it's not as good as this!

sashh · 29/04/2019 07:57

My kitchen is off the living room, the only way in and out is through a door into the living room (or the window if you are the cat).

I was talking to my then housemate in the kitchen, he then turned and walked out and I followed him only to be asked in a shocked voice,"How did you do that?"

He swears he followed me out of the kitchen.

FenellaVelour · 29/04/2019 08:08

Has anyone else had something seemingly disappear into another dimension?

Yes, in my old flat, not long after my now-husband moved in with me (he swears it wasn’t him, haha).

Several things went missing over the next few weeks.

I had a branded polo top for work which was draped over the bottom of my sleigh bed for me to wear the following day as I had an exhibition to attend. The next morning, it was gone, just completely vanished, couldn’t find it anywhere. I had to explain at work why I was requesting a new top...

In our bedroom there was also a helium balloon that I’d been given. It floated about for a few days then simply disappeared. Could not have gone out of the window, no sign of it anywhere.

Then there was the time I put four pillowcases in the wash and three came out.

When we moved I looked for all the vanished things, but they never showed up.

Was an odd little flat, though. I used to hear breathing in my bedroom all the time.
