I will start and I will first say that I've only ever spoken about this online because it's so weird I just can't say it out loud

I was 14 and on a school trip to France, one night we stayed in a Hostel. Was a nice hostel. Anyway I woke up the next day to find a shit in my bed. An actual human shite. Now I know it was not mine, I had worn leggings to bed so there's no chance it would have made it's way down me leg without least being a bit battered and with smudge marks. It was laid perfectly in my bed, like some sort of offering.

So that's mine. Please share yours and if you're willing, offer some explanations to my poodicament

Another strange one.

I don't really believe in woo or any of that, but in our old house ever since I lived there I'd always see shadows outside my sons bedroom door, not from inside the bedroom but from on the landing, I assumed it was just the lighting, but I'd always catch something out the corner of my eye, day and night as though someone was running past the door, it used to startle me at first, I kept thinking someone was there, but I got used to it.

I never told anyone mainly because I didn't want to frighten ds and because I really did just think it was the lighting on the landing playing tricks on me.

Anyway, one day my dsis came round and for some reason we'd ended up sitting on my ds bed in his room chatting, I think I was showing her something upstairs. Ds was in the back garden playing football and I could hear him kicking the ball around. All of a sudden she looked towards the door and said "oh hello ds".

I asked her what she was talking about as ds was in the garden. She said he'd just popped up at the bedroom door. I said no, he's in the garden I can hear him kicking his football around.

She was certain he'd just popped up at the door, so I called out the window to him "ds, have you just been upstairs", he said no, he hadn't, I knew he hadn't because I could hear the football the whole time.

She was really freaked out. I told her that was strange because I'd always see things outside the bedroom door, and now she'd seen something from inside. She just wanted to get straight out of there.

There was a sad story with the house and the previous occupant and I always wonder whether there was something in it.

When we were early teens me and my friend liked to prank call certain phoneboxes, usually just to see if anyone actually answered.
One day me and my friends were walking down a road leading towards a telephone box when it started ringing, we both looked at each other wondering who the hell could be playing our game?!
My friend went to answer it and was in the telephone box for a few minutes having a conversation, when she hung up the receiver she explained to me it had been her twin brother on the other end of the phone, he'd told her he just suddenly felt compelled to call the number and couldn't believe she'd answered it!

This happened last week. Got out of the shower, went to my bedroom, picked up Jo Malone body lotion (the names important) and put it all over I body, once done placed jo Malone on the bookcase.

I put the towel on the bed to sit on whilst it absorbed. So picked up my phone and I’m going through spotify, about 5 minutes later I heard a weird sound.

Looked up at the shelves above my dressing table and a bottle of dove body lotion which I have not used for months was just rocking in its place, side to side. I sat there for about 10 seconds watching before stopping it.

Any explanations I’m ready to hear!! Hadn’t touched anything on that shelf, used a different body lotion, and hadn’t touched the one that was moving.

NW2SW · 27/04/2019 21:25

Are poo diagrams the new parking diagrams?

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 27/04/2019 21:26

Oh and someone committed suicide in my bedroom 6 weeks before I moved in......:

Prequelle · 27/04/2019 21:28

snowy got shivers then!

Has anyone else had something seemingly disappear into another dimension? Like you'll drop something but for the life of you can't find it? I've done it with a remote. I pulled EVERYTHING out and even after moving we couldn't find it.

@HuhZing would your house insurance not have covered you for that, mine would!

MarvelandDC · 27/04/2019 21:35

I had random things go missing from my old house.

Two hoodies of mine went missing, just completely disappeared, I can only imagine they either got stolen off the washing line or accidentally thrown away.

Livedandlearned · 27/04/2019 21:47

Unexplained things happen in our house quite often.

It started with missing keys, mostly dh and has developed into things moving with no explanation.

I have a photo I will upload if it's still on my phone, of one of the incidents.

Love this thread by the way.

Candymay · 27/04/2019 21:52

There is one thing in particular that has always intrigued me and I’d love to know if anyone has any possible explanation or ideas about it. When I was a late teenager I had my own bedroom and I used to have lots of posters and pictures on the walls. I would often use sellotape to stick them up which would take the paint off the wall when I took them down. I was quite arty and most of the pictures were black and whites and carefully placed.

One day I noticed that a picture of bob Marley was stuck up sideways. It didn’t make sense because it was sellotaped but in a different position. I had a photo that I had taken in my bedroom and it showed the wall with the pictures in the background. I checked the picture and I saw that I was right and that the picture of bob Marley had been in a straight position.

The strange thing is that when I removed the picture the sellotape pulled the paint off the wall- as I knew it would- but there was no other mark on the wall so how could it have been peeled off and changed position?

This now reminds me of another strange thing that happened to me in that bedroom. One day I woke up and someone had cut off my eyelashes. They were just cut straight across on one eye. I suppose that had to be a family member but I never asked anyone- it wasn’t the type of family to have any jokes. Also I’m a very light sleeper so it’s creepy and strange that it happened.

They are two of my odd unexplained things!

Kolo · 27/04/2019 21:55

I used to dream of things/people before they happened or I met them.

I had a recurring dream for months about a boy that I didn’t know. Then he moved into my street and started school in my class (year 5/6 ish).

I also had a recurring dream about a plane crash in my town. This went on for months, until the plane crash did happen, just like in my dream, in a town with the same name as mine, but not my actual town.

I don’t believe in any of this premonition stuff, and I’d like to find a scientific explanation.

WillGymForPizza · 27/04/2019 21:57

billhubbard that's one of the best spooky stories Ive ever read! I'd love to see something that, but then think I'd probably shit myself if it ever happened to me.

Doyouavocado · 27/04/2019 22:00

Hahaha I can’t belive your teacher shat on your bed

LucyAutumn · 27/04/2019 22:02

Prequelle- thank you for your poo diagram, I have found the detail and level of quality most helpful.

Could it have somehow been rolled up in the blanket before you got in?

MissClareRemembers · 27/04/2019 22:03

I lost a high value gift card. I got it as a Christmas present and we’d been staying away with family that particular Christmas. Got home and couldn’t find it. I was gutted because it was for a hefty amount and I’d been over the moon to receive it.

Anyway, almost a whole year later it suddenly appeared on top of a chest of drawers in my bedroom. I’d opened and closed the drawers umpteen times a day, every day. How could I not have spotted it?! DH denied any knowledge.

So odd.

Prequelle · 27/04/2019 22:07

doyou that's just proper made me laugh out loud haha

lucy I am usually quite modest but I must say I have a skill when it comes to diagrams. I think it was placed after because there was only minor skid marks on the bottom sheet no evidence of a stowaway on the duvet part. And it can't have been there terribly long coz I'm a rough sleeper and THANK THE LORD i had not rolled in it

I had a dream that I was visited by aliens... Noticed the morning after I woke up that I actually had pinhole marks in my arm in the shape of a triangle.. They're still there now! Wasn't there before, when I mentioned to my family that day they also said they dreamt of aliens too!. Still freaked out by it now!

Thank you all for these tales. So weird / funny.

Rosielee93 · 27/04/2019 22:25

Okay so mine isn't a weird unexplained story its a 'wow what are the chances' type of story.

When i was 16 i went to newquay with a bunch of friends for a week. It was late evening just about to get dark and my friend decided to go out deep into the sea and got swept back by the current. I stupidly went in to save her and the same thing happened to me. A passing man and his girlfriend who saw what was going on and happened to be a lifeguard swam out and saved us. Later on after we were checked out we asked there names and they asked ours. The girlfriend instantly knew who i was. Turns out my mum was her child minder when she was a little girl back in London and our grandparents are good friends. Small world and all that.

LucyAutumn · 27/04/2019 22:28

Prequelle- you should be extremely proud.

Could one of the boys, you had previously snuck into your room, snuck in whilst you and the teacher were sleeping?

Sorry for all the questions I appear to be finding the whole poo escapade most riveting! Grin

Echobelly · 27/04/2019 22:29

Not me, but my dad. My parents own a very old house (c600 years) in Eastern Europe - over its history it has had several fires where owners died.

My dad is the least superstitious, most logical person ever but he admits when he was playing he piano in the front room, suddenly the grandfather clock in the room chimed, though it wasn't anywhere near the hour, and he felt the very strong sense of a disapproving presence in the room for a few moments. Presumably one of the former owners did not like his piano playing!

Figure8 · 27/04/2019 22:40

The home I grew up in had a strange feel to it. My mum was fine, but all my brothers and sisters didn't like to stay alone. The downstairs was definitely creepy.

I would consistently be woken up at 3.17 in the morning. It felt like something was there and my room would feel much hotter than normal. The feeling would ease and the room would return to it's normal temperature. It happened loads. I got so that when I woke, i was scared to look at the clock.

One day I was at my brothers ( he had moved out) and we were talking about the general creepiness of the house. His bedroom was in the basement, and he said he was never comfortable there.
The worst thing though, he said, was being woken in the night...... at 3.17Shock

SchnizzleNo2 · 27/04/2019 22:42

I once accidentally called my ex's mum instead of a friend by the same name. I hadn't been in contact with her for a couple of years. I always wanted to thank her because she was very supportive to me at a difficult time but because my ex left on a bad note I never had. Anyway we had an amazing chat on the phone and I told her how much she meant to me etc. That night I dreamt of being at her funeral. The next day she was killed in a freak accident... Still can't get my head around that. But so glad we got to have that conversation.
