I will start and I will first say that I've only ever spoken about this online because it's so weird I just can't say it out loud

I was 14 and on a school trip to France, one night we stayed in a Hostel. Was a nice hostel. Anyway I woke up the next day to find a shit in my bed. An actual human shite. Now I know it was not mine, I had worn leggings to bed so there's no chance it would have made it's way down me leg without least being a bit battered and with smudge marks. It was laid perfectly in my bed, like some sort of offering.

So that's mine. Please share yours and if you're willing, offer some explanations to my poodicament

Ooh I’ve just thought of another to add!

I’d lost something. I can’t remember what it was I was looking for now, a piece of paper or book maybe, but I was getting so frustrated and I’d looked absolutely everywhere for the damn thing.

I sat on the stairs in a huff and calmed myself down. Closed my eyes and took some deep breaths. I asked myself where is it and immediately a pattern flashed in front of my eyes, it was the paisley pattern printed on a paper bag I’d got when I bought something from a gift shop recently. I knew that was on my bookshelf so went to have a look, lifted it up and the thing I was looking for was just sitting there underneath it.

I was really really spooked! I even said “thank you” up to the sky because I was so convinced that I’d had “help” to find it!! ConfusedSmile

I was a bit disappointed reading this thread that nothing woo has ever happened to me. There's the odd thing but most can be explained rationally. Then this happens..

Last weekend I went to stay with my Dad and when I came to leave I'd lost one half of a pair of my favourite earrings. One half was there in the jewelry wrap I'd taken but the other was missing - I looked everywhere - nowhere to be found. Asked Dad to look out for it after I'd gone. When I got home I put the one earring I still had of the pair on my jewelry stand that has hooks you can hang earrings off and just hoped Dad would find the other half when he was clearing up the room.

Anyway after reading this thread I was a bit cross and said out loud "well my dead relatives are a bit rubbish - I never find anything that's gone missing" The next day I was getting something out of the jewelry wrap I'd taken away with me and there was the missing earring right in front of me. I know it wasn't there before - I'd searched that wrap and it definitely wasn't there.

@Persimmonn that's really spooky! I'm with you on the whole negative energy attracting more thing.

For some time I was suicidal and my house was feeling more and more scary, particularly my room where there always a bad feeling - for years I've always had a feeling of being haunted by a really horrible man. From house move to move he always turned up. He wasn't here from when I moved in but the bad feelings grew and grew and I was seeing shadows and couldn't sleep for nightmares, even my kids didn't like sleeping in my room. My little dog was constantly barking at nothing, waking me in the middle of the night. I'd tried sage, salt, everything I could think of. Only thing is that I wasn't well.
When I met my now fiancée i started to feel a bit better. Still bad, but not suicidal every day.
After he moved in things were pretty good. My nightmares persisted and I was still seeing things but the general bad feeling was less.
One night I had a dream that my grandparents and my sisters dead father (that I'd never met for obvious reasons but who I was convinced haunted me while I lived at my mums house) were in. And lo and behold, next to them all was my scary ghost man. I wasn't scared as my grandparents were there. They told me not to worry about it anymore. He smiled and said goodbye, my sisters father shook my hand. I woke up feeling so strange but in a good way.
Since then my house is fine. My room is fine. I'm fine! It's comfortable energy now and I absolutely believe that my grandparents helped me from wherever they are now. I genuinely felt like they loved me (I didn't when they were alive) and hat they were looking out for me. It was a great feeling. Smile

**I think the story that sticks with me most on this thread is the one about the fire. (Being dragged out of bed by your mum.) Just imagine if your parents hadn't listened to you when you sensed that you shouldn't sleep in your own room that night? Doesn't bear thinking about.

Normally my requests to sleep upstairs were shut down, but my parents were having a drink that night so I assumed they felt guilty. They both fell asleep in the living room after putting food on the cooker. That's what caused the fire.

Another big intuition moment I had was years after, all grown up and in my own house. Kids were outside playing and I was doing the usual household chores.
I got this sudden urge to check on my DS who was about 8 at the time. I ran through the house in a panic, out the front door and round to the side of the house (no idea how I knew he was there). I found him bent over choking on a sweet! I ran behind him and threw my arms round him and squeezed. After a couple tries the sweet came flying out.
It was so strange, that I felt sudden terror and knew I had to get to him!
I've had many many other intuitive moments but usually small stuff, thankfully nothing else big. Be great if the lottery numbers came to me tho 😏

Apileofballyhoo · 02/05/2019 23:51

Someone is looking after you, Bean!

Seaweed42 · 03/05/2019 00:09

The pooh in the bed. Someone sleep-walked due to being in strange place. They dreamt they were at the toilet and sat at the edge of your bed instead.

Riversguidebook · 03/05/2019 01:31

Proper lost in whippendell woods for several hours, in charge of my younger sibs. All under 10. We lived in those woods (quite literally) so it was familiar ground.

But that day we ventured too far, and I saw some kids and a couple of adults playing in a clearing some way ahead. Instead of heading to them to ask directions, I veered away for some reason.

We eventually found a lane and ended up in the next village. Got back home by dark, as the lane led us right back.

As an adult, I learnt the story of the woods name ; some gypsy families lived there, head of which called Dell, cries heard to “whip ‘em, Dell!” at the naughty kids.

Looking at google earth there’s no clearing in the woods at the point we reached, but there is a couple of old houses🤷‍♀️ Who knows if they were ‘ghosts’, or an instinct to press on and change direction, which eventually led us home.

Persimmonn

You need to move

KitschBitch · 03/05/2019 07:14

I hear my name called constantly if there is noise around me, if music is playing loudly or whilst hoovering.
Find large white feathers under my (synthetic) pillow when I am feeling low.
Whilst in the shower, both I and my DS have felt something scratch us leaving large welts.
Have had things going missing lots, later finding them in odd places.

Persimmonn · 03/05/2019 08:18

fatandsassy yours is really creepy too! You poor thing. I’m glad everything is ok now and you’re happy. I really do believe that some people can come into your life and bring light with them, whereas others will leave darkness. I can pin point when things started going bad for us.

managedmis I don’t think moving will help, but it’s precisely what this “block” is preventing us from doing. I can’t explain it, but every time something good happens, we’ll go ten steps back. I’d love to get out of here, but circumstances aren’t allowing us.

Was actually discussing this thread with dh yesterday and he’s told me that occasionally when he’s downstairs watching tv in the evening (I’m at work), he’ll feel/see one of the kids run across the room and into the conservatory. He says last week he got angry they weren’t asleep at 10pm but when he looked again, doors were shut. Kids were all asleep.

FatandSassy · 03/05/2019 09:03

@Persimmonn have you tried asking the "thing" to leave you alone? I have heard that talking to these things helps.
We have a little ghost boy - we call him Charlie - who lives on our stairs. He's always been here, (except for when the scary man was here, he seemed to go very quiet then) and has never scared us or anything. We've all seen and felt him, the kids too. I smile and say hello to him if I feel him or see something out the corner of my eye and so do the kids now. If something is missing I'll ask him to find it and it usually turns up... try to communicate with your block and see what happens? I think ignoring it isn't working! Perhaps ask what it wants?

Another creepy thing happened to me in a hotel once. My fiancée and I went to Buxton and stayed in a hotel we've visited several times. Except this time we were put in a pokey part of the hotel, all up and down back stairs and in an attic room. Anyway, I'd had a bad feeling as soon as we got to this room. We had lunch, back to the hotel and decided to have some naps. I was scared but it it down to being in a strange place and I'm a bit odd anyway so no bother! Had a dream. One of those hyper realistic ones? Where you're just doing normal things? It was us, arriving in our room and I had the bad feeling again. The door slammed shut, something picked me up and threw me across the room - i was trying to scream but was being squeezed and couldn't - I felt the air on my face. Absolutely sh*t a brick and woke myself (and my fiancée) up screaming. Got straight up and opened the window, we left and went out for a few hours. When we came back to the hotel room all was quiet. And I didn't have any more bad feelings for the rest of our stay. I think that whatever it was was letting us know it didn't want us to be there and it was trapped - and when we opened the window we let it out.

FatandSassy · 03/05/2019 10:53

@KitschBitch I've had the name thing too. I always put it down to being paranoid about the kids or fiancée or someone needing me though. I do always shut the curtains and turn the mirror to the wall if I'm drying my hair and try and ignore any noises while I'm in the shower!

Does anyone else have bad feelings about mirrors? I've got one in my bathroom, a small one in my bedroom that gets turned to the wall every night in case something crawls out of it while I'm asleep Hmm

MissMollyMoon · 03/05/2019 11:40

We once lived in a very old house, I was around 12 at the time. We had a series of horrible things happen that lead us to eventually call a priest in. Most of us were in bed but my eldest brother stayed up to watch a movie. He was alone in the sitting room and suddenly heard a girl crying in the kitchen. He got up to check and as he walked into the kitchen a black figure that looked like a young girl suddenly ran across the room. He started screaming and my father ran across the house to get to him. My dad was telling him off for waking everyone up and as he was yelling at him a chair was thrown across the room. We all slept in my parents room that night.

A few days later my father woke up in the early hours to leave for a business trip. He says he saw this young girl again in the corner of the room watching them sleep and then she suddenly disappeared.

The following week he got up again to go to work and she was in the hallway sitting on the floor crying. My father is the most rational man I know and has never believed in this stuff but he swears this was true.

A few weeks later my sister went to get a towel out of the hallway cupboard and as she opened the door it was suddenly violently pushed and hit her in the face, she had a horribly bloody nose and was bruised for weeks. That same night my rosary had been moved from underneath my pillow and was hanging from the ceiling fan in my bedroom.

My brother, his wife and young baby moved in with us for a few weeks and they were woken up nearly every night to hear my nephew babbling and laughing at someone/something in his room. Every time they walked in, his cot mobile was spinning around. It wasn’t battery operated and my nephew couldn’t reach it.

The last straw was when we’d been out for day and had left our dog at home. We came home and couldn’t find him anywhere. We heard him barking when we’d been calling out to him and found him locked in a cupboard. The lock on this cupboard had been broken for months and there is no way any of us could have done it.

We called a priest in to bless the house but when he arrived he said he couldn’t help us and gave us contact details for a woman who could help. When she arrived she started shivering and was covered in goosebumps. She said someone had put a curse on the house to break our family up and that the spirit would continue to cause trouble until there was a death or divorce in the family! We ended up moving and it didn’t seem to follow us because once we moved it all stopped. My parents did divorce 4 years later though.

I still have nightmares about all of this 20 years later.

NamelessGem · 03/05/2019 22:23

I always found white feathers in our flat, huge ones that didn’t make sense how they got in. One day I found a black one! A fluffy black feather that couldn’t have some from anything I owned and didn’t look ‘wild’ (it was perfectly clean) I googled what it might mean and it said ‘a big change was about to happen’ the day after I found out I was pregnant!

Our old house was haunted, would hear someone v heavy walking up the stairs at different times, always felt like I was being followed or watched. My brothers lamp moved and shone into my face when I was talking to him from his doorway.

My sister and dad were having s huge argument and a bread board that was flat on top of the cupboard flew off and hit her. (She was being dreadful!)

I used to see a dog run across the top or bottom of the stairs depending which end I was at.

My most scary one - my best pal and I were being young, little shits. We would mess around inside the church some times. One day there was a wheelchair left in the aisle, so we thought it would be great fun to race around the pews in it. Being generally awful and disrespectful while no one was around.

Suddenly the arch door way slammed shut and scared us. Then the bells rang and we both thought we saw a knight hanging from the rafters. We ran out of there faster than lightning. There was an awful feeling of being ‘told off’ or warned away. We didn’t go back !

(I did pray that night for forgiveness too 🙈)

Mumsymumphy · 03/05/2019 23:32

In my old house it was all open plan, could see up the stairs onto the landing when you were sat in the front room.

For the first 3 months or so of living there, if I was sat in the front room I was constantly looking up to the top of the stairs because I felt like I was being watched. Of course, there was nothing ever there.

I was talking to my NDN one day when he told me someone had died in the house upstairs. The family of the deceased had lain flowers outside the house on the anniversary every year, but had been asked by neighbours to stop (just before I moved in) as it was upsetting for the local children. I dreaded waking up one morning to flowers outside the house and my kids asking why. Luckily it never happened.

Persimmonn · 03/05/2019 23:37

fatandsassy no we haven’t tried that. Maybe we should? But it scares me in case we make whatever it is angry.
Your stories are so creepy! You must be really sensitive to these things.

FatandSassy · 04/05/2019 00:32

@Persimmonn I don't think I'm sensitive. Maybe I'm just loopy Grin

I don't think in talking to whatever is there you could make it angry. Maybe it wants to be noticed? Whatever it is, I hope it goes soon Thanks Do let us know Smile

My first rented house with my then boyfriend was properly disturbing. Not sure if it was a sleep deprived hallucination from having a brand new baby, but one morning about 2 weeks into motherhood I was still in bed seeing to the baby and my bf was in the bath downstairs. I looked up as had seen something out of the corner of my eye and I swear I saw three goblins on the shelves in the bedroom. Properly evil, green, monstrous, grinning creatures all perched on the bedroom shelves like some kind of grotesque statues. I've never screamed so loud! Bf came running, though I was being murdered - of course by the time he got upstairs there was nothing there. Truly terrifying though, even if I was sleep deprived.

Boneshere · 04/05/2019 02:31

I've just been reading these and must have fallen asleep! I was walking around an old house and I man said to me "sit here and wait for your Grandmother" to someone in the dream, I was watching the people rather than being in it. When something creepy crawled super fast on its hands and knees across the room, with animal skulls on its head, and it snapped its head round to look at me, and it was a old woman but with a skull for a face. She screeched really loud and I shook awake!

You lot have done my sleep in for the night lol!

I have loads of woo stories, I'll come back tomorrow... Hopefully!

nervousFTM · 08/05/2019 07:44

A few years ago I used a mobile hairdresser - she used to come to my flat to trim my hair for about 2/3 years. Lovely girl and we got on well - she'd even cut my mum's hair when mum was visiting once.

I moved flats in this time and she'd not been to my new place yet. I was waiting for her to arrive one day when she phoned me and said she was en route but didn't think the postcode was right. I realised I was a letter out so sent her the right postcode.

She never arrived! For weeks I called her number but it just rang out and then started going to voicemail. I never knew her surname so couldn't look her up or anything, and the salon I knew her from had long closed.

To this day I'm scared to use another mobile hairdresser as I'm convinced it's my fault she went missing!

cheeseypuff · 08/05/2019 12:42

Loving reading all these - also secretly hoping some dead relative will help my find all my missing stuff!

Persimmon have you considered getting your house blessed? Or perhaps as someone else suggested talking to your "guest" about moving on or if you can help them?

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 11/05/2019 19:11

I keep thinking about this thread and people finding things that had gone missing in odd random places when they were clearly not there before.

Last Monday I went out in the car to clear up a holiday rental property we have nearby - stripped the beds and put the bedding in the car, I remember driving home and letting myself in the house and spending the rest of the evening in the house. The next day I had to take the cat to the vet couldn't find my keys anywhere (house key, car key and holiday let key all on the same ring). I used the spares and then when I got home spent ages searching the house - couldn't find them. On and off all week I've searched the house and was getting quite worried - it was a total mystery.

I stayed at a friends last night and when I came back did a load of washing which I hung out - have been doing laundry on and off all week. Just now I was just getting changed upstairs and thought about the keys and how strange it was that they had completely disappeared. I came down with a pile of laundry to do - went into the laundry and there are the keys clear as day sitting on top of the washing machine.

There's no one else here apart from my son (my partner's away at the moment) who has been helping me look for them. It's so odd - I'd searched the laundry before because I thought I might have taken them in there with the bedding but they definitely weren't there. And I've used the machine a number of times so I would have seen them. I'm completely baffled how they ended up there.
