... not only that, he’s threatening treason charges on those who investigated him.

Be in no doubt. A trade deal with Donald Trump will mean US corporations get to privatise and dismantle our NHS one bed at a time. #TrumpProtest

BTW, anyone else seeing 45's claim that he turned Corbyn down and thinking "chinny reckon"? Given 45's history of claiming to be the dumper... when he was really the dumpee? Grin

(Eg Mattis' resignation; and I'm sure there was another major one early in the presidency.)

Thinking of you and your husband Roussette. It’s a worrying and tiring time for you. Flowers

justanotherlurker You seem to be clinging to the point that it is law that the NHS is free at the point of service. It is now. However, once private enterprise trickles into healthcare, and people can start receiving services much quicker if they pay out of pocket (for example), it is just a beginning. Healthcare companies have the means and desire to lobby for law change.

Donald Trump Jr. isn’t fit to shine Comey’s shoes yet says he is “the most disgraced law enforcement official is US history”. Hyperboleand disrepect and the worst kind.

Donald Trump Jr.
@DonaldJTrumpJr
The worst FBI Director of all time, who is going down as the most disgraced law enforcement official in American history, was a founding member of the cabal that brought you the Collusion Delusion, and would now like to lecture you on conspiracies 🤔🤣
What a clown.

James Comey @Comey
Bill Barr on CBS offers no facts. An AG should not be echoing conspiracy theories. He should gather facts and show them. That is what Justice is about.

Thank you Claws yes indeed, MN is a bit of light relief at the moment away from hospitals et al

He's tweeting a shitstorm this morning. I had to check whether it was a parody account or not.

Lweji · 05/06/2019 07:26

Best wishes for your husband, Roussette. Flowers

Was that the same Comey who handed Trump the election?

I'd have to agree he was a disgrace. Just for different reasons. For the most disgraced President of all time.

MerdedeBrexit · 05/06/2019 07:30

So sorry to read this about your husband, Roussette, must be awfully stressful for you both, I hope he recovers well and quickly once diagnosed. Flowers

Roussette · 05/06/2019 07:49

Thank you Lweji and Merdede, yes he's been diagnosed, thank you thank you to a wonderful Doctor who went on a hunch in A&E and started treating him without diagnosis.

One bright point today... Trump goes home!

Trump can do as many photo ops in white tie as he wants. But he is savaging our key alliances.

I’m guessing this is in response to Trump’s speech at the the UK State dinner a few days ago where he talked about the US/UK joint overcoming of the Nazis in WW2. The Russians are not amused.

Just passed by a whole sequence of motorcades heading for Southampton airport.

Plus, the Queen who must have been heading back to the Palace to count the silver.

Still keeping an eye on what's happening in other countries... What on earth is going on in Australia?Shock

I missed the beginning of this story, but police raids on the home of a journalist and on the public broadcaster do not bode well. I have mixed feelings about leaked classified material, but it looks like there might be a genuine public interest defence here.

ABC raid: Outcry as Australian police search public broadcaster
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-48522729

Police insist that there is no link between the scouring of the ABC and a News Corp Australia journalist's home.

But the timing is more than curious: two raids, on successive days, concerning stories that were published more than a year ago. Each piece explored matters of transparency in clandestine Australian institutions.

Some suspect it is the whistleblowers - not the media - who are actually being targeted.

Political opponents say all of this raises "serious questions" for Prime Minister Scott Morrison's government - which has denied any interference - and there are calls for an urgent inquiry into press freedom.
