lionheart - how can any "true Brit" think selling the NHS down the Trump river is at all patriotic? These bloody Brexiters are so deluded.

Whosorrynow · 04/06/2019 17:48

'the NHS is on the table when it comes to trade deals'

I think they don't realise they are poking a hornet's nest.

A little more light amusement

I hope the Brexiteers are happy now. The wonderful NHS being up for grabs dependent and depending on a Trade deal

Deeply depressing.

This is very close to my heart at the moment. My DH is very poorly and in hospital and has, so far, had numerous brain scans, CT scans, MRI scans, heart traces, lumbar punctures, drips etc etc.

Cost £0 due to the wonderful NHS.

Not a brexiteer, but why is the NHS up for grabs? it's more likely to just include the ability for US companies to compete for NHS contracts?

The NHS is free at the point of use, that is law. A vote to repeal that could never be sneaked through, or even included within a different vote, maybe use some of the obvious critical thinking skills you have as a remainer, this hyperbole is on par with the £350 million sent to the NHS bollocks.

Roussette · 04/06/2019 19:27

Justanotherlurker with all due respect none actually just jog on with your critical thinking crap. This is me being polite

Nigel Farage refuses to attend EU hearing into Arron Banks cash
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48516348

Nigel Farage says he will not attend a committee investigating whether he broke European Parliament rules by accepting funding from Leave campaigner Arron Banks.

The Brexit Party leader has said he did not declare the £450,000 sum to the assembly because at the time, he was about to leave politics and had been seeking a new life in the US.
[...]
The payments from Mr Banks were revealed by a Channel 4 News investigation last month.

Many interesting features of the above.

Not least...

Did we know that Nigel Farage celebrated Brexit by planning to emigrate from the UK?

Justanotherlurker · 04/06/2019 21:05

So just hyperbole then when you make comments like this:

The wonderful NHS being up for grabs dependent and depending on a Trade deal

Are you waiting for an opinion piece to cite?

Justanotherlurker · 04/06/2019 21:09

Another - 32m million (working population) even half of them 5,000 a year for health insurance would generate billions in income - a great return for some ads on buses and relatively small change in Nigel Farage’s pocket

What has Farage got to do with this scenario, until he is PM (hint he won't ever be) then it's irrelevant, the PP was using the same hyperbole as the bus scenario which i pointed out.

You are the same as the PP and ignoring the points and just spewing hyperbole, until a trade deal is in place it is more than likely they want access to supplier contracts, it is law that the NHS is free at the point of use.

Justanotherlurker · 04/06/2019 21:18

Did we know that Nigel Farage celebrated Brexit by planning to emigrate from the UK?

Probably, the man is a fuckwit, same as Corbyn and May, what this has shown is that all sides are entrenched in echo chambers.

The "critical thinking" and "better educated" has been a proven hypocrisy many a times, especially on these long running threads. Countless times they have just been swept up by media hysteria when it suits the narrative.

Roussette · 04/06/2019 21:20

Are you waiting for an opinion piece to cite?

No.

I'm just waiting for you to go away TBH, and to take your oh so educated critical thinking with you

If you read Cacacoisfarraige's posts above you may get some idea, justanother. Or possibly not, but that really isn't the fault of the people explaining matters gently and carefully why the NHS is being put at risk when clowns like Johnson say that it is "on the table" regarding a trade deal with the USA. Oh, sorry; that's Woody, not Boris, in case you hadn't noticed which of them made that crass remark. www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-48489524/us-ambassador-woody-johnson-on-us-food-if-the-british-people-like-it-they-can-buy-it
