... not only that, he’s threatening treason charges on those who investigated him.

More serious.

#LindseyGrahamResign trending after Trump Jr. comments

...Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said on "Fox News Sunday" that if he were Trump Jr.'s lawyer, "I would tell him, 'You don't need to go back into this environment anymore.'"

Monday, Graham said Donald Trump Jr. should plead the Fifth to keep from answering questions posed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, according to reports from the Washington Post and the New York Times. The Fifth Amendment allows someone the right to not incriminate themselves.

“You just show up and plead the Fifth and it’s over with,” said Republican Graham.

According to The State newspaper, Graham also said Trump Jr.’s lawyer would “have to be an idiot” if he let the president’s eldest son testify.

By publicly tampering with a Senate witness, @LindseyGrahamSC violated his oath of office. In any previous Senate, the Ethics Committee would begin a Graham investigation today that would lead to his expulsion.

A rare moment of @GOP backbone and principle: @MittRomney was the lone Republican senator to vote against one of @realDonaldTrump's judicial nominees — in part to defend @BarackObama.

According to Trump’s lawyer, even Nixon should have gotten off.

Brad Heath @bradheath
President Trump's lawyers told a judge today that Congress didn't have the power to investigate him for corruption, and suggested that both the Whitewater and Watergate investigations were invalid attempts at "law enforcement." Alabama: Abortion = Felony (up to 99 years)

Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates

@PPSE_Advocates

'Alabama politicians just voted to reject any exceptions for rape and incest after seeing rape Alabama survivors in the gallery and hearing their stories.'

More corruption.

This is insane — a U.S. Senator advising a witness to take the Fifth. He needs to resign.

Lindsey Graham should not be advising Trump Jr. to take the Fifth

What a horrifying and backwards move, lionheart. And to make abortion a felony - even for rape survivors - is heartless. It isn’t a black-and-white issue, but are they allowing room for that? What about young victims of rape who find themselves pregnant? Are they then forced to have the baby, at risk to their own physical and mental health? IDK.

25 old white men! I can’t even begin to vocalise what I’d like to do to each of those fuckers I’m so angry. And they have the temerity to call other countries backward. Those poor, poor women in Alabama who will suffer if this despicable bill gets signed by the governor.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 15/05/2019 07:07

Following on from lion’s post.
Look at these “men” - ugh!

These 25 white men – all Republicans – just voted to ban abortion in Alabama
Legislation makes abortion a crime at any stage of pregnancy, with the only exception for a serious threat to the health of the woman

The news for Alabama is horrifying, just hope it gets tangled up with legal objections.

Trump has really lost it now...

hillreporter.com/bald-eagle-cemeteries-trump-windmill-farms-patriotism-35707

The president then continued with another anti-windmill tangent. “You want to see a bird cemetery,” Trump asked. “Go under a windmill sometime. You will see the saddest, you got every type of bird. You know, in California you go to jail for five years if you kill a bald eagle. You go under a windmill, you see them all over the place. Not a good situation.”

Roussette · 15/05/2019 07:17

Not sure how anyone can listen to the garbage he spouts with a straight face

TheClaws · 15/05/2019 07:47

Judges voted for this bill, yes, but it was helped along by women. We can’t blame men alone although it would be easy to do so. I was reading anti-vaxxer forum yesterday (for laffs) and those women support these bills wholeheartedly. Maybe if a little girl has been raped - but even in that situation, few would argue in her favour. It’s often evangelical woman, too.

OP posts:
TheNorthWestPawsage · 15/05/2019 07:54

Yes Claws unfortunately you’re correct. Some of those women seem almost “possessed” they are so fervent in their beliefs. But I still believe they are the result of historical male indoctrination.

Roussette · 15/05/2019 08:33

But an 11 year old in Ohio has been raped and is pregnant and is being forced to carry the baby... I think....

TheClaws · 15/05/2019 10:47

NorthWest, I have an evangelical friend who is just like this. Her father is one of those deeply religious but frightening men who was emotionally abusive when she was growing up. She is very intelligent and I just don’t understand why she hasn’t escaped the grip of organised religion.

Not quite yet.

"the 11-year-old in this case won't be subject to the state's pending law" because although passed, it is not yet in effect. And more raped 11-year-olds after the next few months will be, though.

Roussette · 15/05/2019 18:39

A glimmer of hope for that 11 year old then... good....

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 15/05/2019 18:56

That was what I instantly thought too!
