Eating my bowl of carby porridge in the rain and wondered this.

Help me feel better about my messy flat and share with me some un-mumsnetty thing you have done today?

I fed my boys a tin of beans for breakfast with shop bought bread (possibly a MN point for a cooked breakfast?)
I am only washing the shower curtain now as it was getting mouldy
I only got a shower just now
Eating a bowl of hot, carby porridge which is very nice.
My top floor flat is a mess and I don't care Smile

Left sick child in bed while I walked the dog (offlead) and I used black plastic poo bags Shock

I then had a nice chat with my MIL who I love

WonderTweek · 04/04/2019 12:54

Me and my two year old had chocolate cake at 9am and watched Thomas the Tank Engine way too much. Then I let my son make a mess and boss me around for a bit because I didn't want to start the day with a tantrum as it's my husband's birthday and I wanted to keep the peace. Also fed son beans on toast instead of organic vegetables and I might enjoy a glass of coke in a minute. We're all doomed.

PregnantSea · 04/04/2019 12:55

I'm shocked. You all sound like CFs and are all BVU. Reporting to MNHQ.

confusedfornow · 04/04/2019 13:00

My name is Confusedfornow, and I have lusted after several men, even though I am married. And I have had impure thoughts of what they could to me. Yes, what they could to me! I wanted no part of that consent malarkey Blush

Still blush when ever we drive past the Fire Station. Especially in summer. Whilst looking through the fence into the rear yard, when they're washing the big engines!

Blush

I’m eating biscuits on the sofa watching TV. Have been doing so for the last 2 hours.
Will probably get off the sofa 10 minutes before school pickup.
My house is immaculate because I paid someone to clean it earlier 😳

Home77 · 04/04/2019 13:05

Naughty, confused! Shock

Just seen the 'what's in the fridge' thread- mainly things like process and fancy fruit and veg, cheeses (natch).

Ours has:

Cut price apple pie and custard from Sainsbury's local
Corner yoghurts
Various old garlics and tomatoes in the bottom, carrots
Old jars of condiments and tomato ketchup
various bowls of things left over from the children e.g. baked beans

Sadly no hummus / fancy cheese / exotic veg in sight...oh dear

Prosecco, not anything processed...that was a slip

I used black plastic poo bags

Me too Shock

We should be hung, drawn and quartered!

Also, when he shat in the woods yesterday, I just flicked it into the undergrowth and didn't pick it up Shock

Hugs.

Illberidingshotgun · 04/04/2019 13:11

My DS walked to school eating jammy dodgers.

EastEndQueen · 04/04/2019 13:15

Whilst taking DS1 to toddler swimming (sole MN approved part of day so far):

  1. Messed around on phone on all of the journey to the pool rather than stimulating him with chat about boats/trains/animals we could see
  2. Dried his trouser crotch under the hairdryer in the changing rooms as he had a little accident and I had forgotten to re stock his nappy bag with fresh trousers. Had previously tried putting them in the spinning thing you dry swimsuits in, DO NOT DO THIS, THEY NEARLY SHREDDED 3)Spent all my time in the cafe afterwards looking at the lovely booze and thinking about what I will drink tonight

Currently inhaling Diet Coke.

Tonight I am leaving DS1 and 6 weeks old DS2 with a babysitter and having dinner with a friend because I am cruel and lack maternal feeling Wink

fed the kids yogurts for breakfast because i couldnt be bothered with a fight and repeating "eat your breakfast" over and over.

i am off work today and supposed to be sorting out the kids room...i havnt. i have eaten biscuits and sat watching daytime TV.....ALLLLLL day.

Also purposely annoyed my DM because shes currently being bitch, so rang her and dropped a comment into the lovely conversation that I know will play in her head for days.

Sparklingbrook · 04/04/2019 13:24

I answered the door even though I wasn't expecting anyone.

PuppyMonkey · 04/04/2019 13:24

I dyed my hair instead of just embracing my grey.

Pythone · 04/04/2019 13:26

Ate two Creme Eggs, did not bemoan falling standards in Creme Egg manufacture, did not wish for two small squares of 10000% cocoa plain chocolate instead.

whohaa · 04/04/2019 13:28

I gave my 3 year old biscuits for breakfast. Didn't even follow it up with something nutritious. Morning sickness is killing me today. He can have a day of eating junk.

SleepingIsOverrated · 04/04/2019 13:28

I've had an allergic reaction to a face product and am currently sitting in the sofa eating crisps and drinking coke.... I have no children at home for the first time in forever and planned on washing the bedding and having a huge spring clean but... nope.

troppibambini · 04/04/2019 13:28

Oh so much where do I start.

I've not made the beds
Me and ds are both on iPads me on mumsnet him Minecraft while watching batman and superman thing which I've just realised is a 12 (he's 4) how is a cartoon a 12?
He's had cheese on toast (white bread)for lunch and a frube
I'm not taking dd(8) to the "compulsory" Easter service at church tonight because I'm meeting friends for drinks.

I'm just a mumsnet failure.

Home77 · 04/04/2019 13:32

I have nothing planned for the Easter holidays next week. No trips, no improving 'activities'. No National Trust trips etc.

We'll probably just hang about, and I'll continue to ignore the housework. Eating.

I used yesterdays towel and then handed it to DP to dry his hands on after doing his hair.. twice used and someone else touched it..omg! 🙄😂

Home77 · 04/04/2019 13:34

I rang my lovely MIL to catch up for no reason just because she's lovely.

We've used the same towels for all of family bath time - how gross. And we all have baths in the same tub, one after the other, how unpleasant. Like in olden times. In fact they still have not been washed. I wonder, how we survive really.

gotmychocolateimgood · 04/04/2019 13:36

I had a rainbow ice cream cone for lunch.
