12 hours of dryness my arse

Nappies flagrantly lie. Using Pampers 4s at the moment, been using those for night previously and Aldi for daytime but aibu to think it's all complete hogwash.?Hmm

Is there a nappy out there that will get my 90th centile for length baby through the night without him waking up wet? 4 month sleep regression and building works not helping, I'm so exhausted I am getting depressed.

I have some bambino miosolo reuseables but due to building works no washing machine but that will change soon, so I'm open to them.

I read this as '12 hours of dryness in my arse' and was seriously intrigued as to what ailment was afflicting your bumhole

dementedpixie · 04/03/2019 07:52

Is he is the largest nappy for his weight as the weight guide overlaps?

pandarific · 04/03/2019 07:53

My arse is thankfully sufficiently hydrated. Grin

I found the Lidl nappies really good.

Newyearnewunicorn · 04/03/2019 07:54

I had this problem size 5 Tesco or Morrison’s worked though

keepforgettingmyusername · 04/03/2019 07:55

Pampers baby dry have always kept my DS dry for 12 hours sleep. Are you sure you're using the right size? Maybe a 4+?

SlangBack · 04/03/2019 07:55

I found Lidls were really great 24 hours of the day.

Why were you not using an Aldi one at night?

MissOrganisedMe · 04/03/2019 07:56

Try sizing up a vest.

SweetheartNeckline · 04/03/2019 07:56

4+ nappies are about the same size as 4s and more absorbent. We use Aldi nappies all the time - have you tried them overnight? We've always found them good and my DC uses them (4+) aged 3 overnight.

Are the nappies actually saturated or could it be more to do with positioning?

cleanerneeded · 04/03/2019 07:56

Sainsbury's own brand. Only ones to keep my dd dry all night.

OytheBumbler · 04/03/2019 07:58

I had to use the Tesco ones. Nothing else seemed to fit as well and keep DD dry.

Try some different brands until you find the one that works.

pandarific · 04/03/2019 07:59

Because the Aldi ones weren't as absorbent which meant he was waking up more. I'm not exactly sure how much he weighs right now, 13 something possibly 14lbs, but it's the length, he's very very long so I think he pees more.

I will try 4+.

Size 4 is from 20lbs. Are you sure the nappy isn't too big and is gaping and letting pee out the gaps? Point penis down, make sure elastic cuffs are untucked

E20mom · 04/03/2019 08:09

Pampers are rubbish. Boots own brand are my favourite

WonderWorm · 04/03/2019 08:11

I only ever used huggies. I agree get a size up.

Guineapiglet345 · 04/03/2019 08:14

Pampers 5+ keep my DD dry for 15 hours overnight (she likes a lie in)

SarahAndQuack · 04/03/2019 08:20

They just lie. We size up quite a bit but DD is just made of bladder. Some of them are. Sorry.

I too was concerned about lack of lube in your bum.Was going to suggest some Preparation H, or Anusol. Blush

RoseReally · 04/03/2019 08:22

I had issues with Pampers leaking. I second Sainsburys own brand nappies (I think they're called 'little ones'). Also found Aldi nappies better than Pampers.

isoundbetterinmyheadhonest · 04/03/2019 08:24

Which pampers are you using? We use the premium protection ones for night time as they seemed work the best for keeping dry at night.

FenellaMaxwell · 04/03/2019 08:24

Sainsbury’s here too. Off the charts for height, 25th for weight.

KittyB52 · 04/03/2019 08:26

We use sainsburys nappies with 98th percentile DD, but have switched to Huggies night time pull-ups for night as she’s a wriggler.

Lolly34h · 04/03/2019 08:26

I use lidl 4+ and they are good. My daughter wakes up dry with them

ambereeree · 04/03/2019 08:30

I use a bigger nappy at night for my long baby. But considering a lot of milk is also consumed at night soaking through is pretty normal. I change the nappy at around 2am and 7am and both are really heavy.

Lost5stone · 04/03/2019 08:32

DD was off the charts height and 97/98th? weight and the Aldi ones never leaked for us. I'd try 4+ as already suggested and make sure all flaps out etc
