DS2 is going on a school trip to the local mosque. However, the school nearly cancelled it because so many parents have refused to let their children go. I have only spoken to one parent who won't allow her child to go but she said "I'm not racist but...why should they visit a mosque when we daren't get a plane or go to a shopping centre because of that lot". Not racist .

the people killed on 9/11 how do you think their families feel about muslim extremists?

Troutpout · 12/07/2007 19:52

'These people'

Oh dear

hippychick1971 · 12/07/2007 19:53

no offence taken you are entitled to your opinion its called freedom of speech. something we seem to be losing

aloha · 12/07/2007 19:54

Hmm, either new or simply a troll. Inclining towards the latter atm. Either way, just fuck off and stop polluting the site.

hippychick1971 · 12/07/2007 19:55

oh please lighten up. one persons opinion thats all

Kewcumber · 12/07/2007 19:55

I think they feel anguished that their loved ones were killed, the same as anyone who is murdered. Do you think it is more painful to have a member of your family filled by a muslim rather an atheist or a chrsitian or jews then. A report in teh papers a few months ago said statisically more serious crimes (rape murder serious assaults) are committed by people who considered themselves to be christian than of any otehr religion or even no religion. Do you think that is a comfort to theor victims? That they were victims of a christian crime?

aloha · 12/07/2007 19:55

Oh please fuck off.

aloha · 12/07/2007 19:56

God, not you KC, but you know that. I was adressing my comment to the neo-nazi troll.

KTNoo · 12/07/2007 19:57

I totally agree with freedom of speech but there's a difference between that and just being offensive. I am seriously wondering if this is genuine now....

Kewcumber · 12/07/2007 19:57

Kewcumber · 12/07/2007 19:58

of course it a wind up - beleive me. Unless they are allowing wireless mobiles into secure units!

Sorry ALf - freedom of speech and all that...

hippychick1971 · 12/07/2007 19:59

any life taken by what ever means, or by what ever religion is terrible and the person should recieve the appropriate punishment.

we are in the grip of terrorism at the moment and the laughable thing is these people killing live and work in this country yet hate it and all it represents.

Kewcumber · 12/07/2007 19:59

yes ALoha agreed. Got to go feed myself nothing left for the hungry trolls.

hippychick1971 · 12/07/2007 20:01

aloha · 12/07/2007 20:02

Are you going to fuck off back under your bridge now dear troll?

hippychick1971 · 12/07/2007 20:02

yes i am off now bored with all you do gooders

Desiderata · 12/07/2007 20:08

Hmmm .. without making comment on the particular subject manner (it bores me), it would seem that a troll is anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Kewcumber · 12/07/2007 20:10

isn;t a troll someone who you suspect is deliberately stirring up trouble for a laugh? Disagree with lots of people (saldy pretty publically recently) haven't called any of them a troll before

LowFatMilkshake · 13/07/2007 08:18

Just to reawaken this thread (sorry but I missed it yesterday evening).

Hippychick - a lot, but not all of the people who lost loved ones in 9/11 do bear grudges and they have a reason to, but you refer to Muselims initially and them Muselim extremists - 2 very different sets of people, under one broad banner.

Not all Muselims are terrorists - and not all terrorists are Muselims. Going back to the 70's/80's when we all lived in fear of IRA bombs - did you hate the Irish then?

Your attitude frightens me, and while people have opinions such as yours, however entitled you are to them we will never, ever have any peace.
