a vice. Mine used to be the booze, but I knocked that on the head when I found myself drinking up to two bottles of wine a night. Now it's shopping. I just love to shop,be it for food, stuff for the kids,make-up,clothes,shoes,household goods or anything else. I just get a buzz out of it. What's your vice? Is it something you worry could get out of hand, or do you see it as a simple pleasure that you deserve even if it might be bad for you and/or your bank balance?

gamerwidow · 05/02/2019 18:41

Sugar I’d be so much healthier without it but I can’t resist.

TwitterLovesMAPs · 05/02/2019 18:42

Hmm. I dunno. I used to smoke but I quit that years ago. I try really hard not to get too into anything unhealthy (a family member died of an addiction so I’m hyper-aware of things like that). I feel a bit out of control if I have one glass of wine three nights a week.

I suppose if I have a vice it’s either coffee (but my max is three cups a day) or clothes and shoes (although my bank balance is self-limiting on that one.)

Holding grudges!

Can you expand on this? What do people have to do for you to hold a grudge against them? Just curious

I think my vice is MN, I haven’t watched soap operas for years. MN is far more entertaining/informative/educational

Oh god.

Handbags.

Boots.

Dog leads and dog toys. Dog beds. Dog blankets.

thebear1 · 05/02/2019 18:44

Used to be cigarettes but now it is diet coke, 2 to 3 cans a day. I keep thinking about stopping but then I think of all the stuff I don't do and keep on chugging those cans down.

Shopping. Like op, shopping for anything. Groceries, clothes, household stuff, you name it.

FurryDogMother · 05/02/2019 18:46

I've now given up booze, carbs, and smoking. Shopping is all that's left to me - like you, OP, I enjoy all types of it but (apart from the usual groceries etc.) try to limit myself to small things, like socks, a bath bomb, votive candles, or bargain second-hand clothes from eBay. I just like to know there's something coming in the post - I'm a 24/7 housebound carer for my Dad, who has dementia, and there aren't many other fun things in my life. Everyone has to have something!

JellycatElfie · 05/02/2019 18:47

I love playing the sims 3 on my laptop but haven’t in ages!

LooseSeal2 · 05/02/2019 18:49

Irn bru. Don’t even want to admit how much I have each day. If im stressed opening a can gives almost immediate relief. I get tetchy if I’ve somehow managed to go through most of a day without some.

RussellSprout · 05/02/2019 18:51

I'm another shopper. I just love buying stuff whether its online or in a physical store. I do have a habit of ordering stuff on t'internet and sending most of it back. I am sad, love it when the Amazon man turns up with a parcel.
