It looks like typical too much testosterone running.
In addition to some pretty dire school ethos.

I'm sure we'd have been dragged along to a Pro-Life (or anti-abortion) demo if they'd had them in London at the time.

But fast forward to 2019 - things are getting fraught in Pariliment square with all kinds of people demonstrating - would they have let you loose in yellow high vis jackets without supervision?

I came on to say I was now unsure of how I felt about those students... I can't get passed that smile and if that student believes that was a calming expression which would diffuse the situation, I think he needs to work on it more than a little.

But I'm just unsure now. I'll have a read of that long dissection of the video now and see. I admit I jumped on that boy but that smile! Urgh

Look at it this way: you are sixteen or seventeen, and an elderly man is walking in your direction. Do you
a) step out of his way
b) stand in his way and look at him with an expression which he (being ex-forces) probably recognises instantly as "dumb insolence"
c) step into his way and as b

If you answer anything but a, you are a mannerless young oik.

I've seen the recent video of those boys mocking the drummer just before the stand-off. And the shot of the priest standing in the background. And the photos from 2015 of the basketball team showing the WP signs. And from the same period, the crowd of boys wearing blackface ...

I guess a little light will be shone on all of those things.

After watching various footage, various commentaries and dissection of what happened, the School have a lot to answer for. After all... this vile picture was taken just over a year ago, it has everything, white power sign, black faces, jeering of an opposing team black sports player. Disgusting.

I've just been looking at some of the other clips, including the kid shouting, 'It's not rape if you enjoy it!'

The school has a problem.

The more I read about it, the more I feel that the boys were using learned behaviour and come from families who chose the school because its morals and attitudes were the same as their own, promoting racism, white supremacy, homophobia, misogyny, sexism, xenophobia, chauvinism - all of which should be abhorrent to the Catholic church but unfortunately isn't in many places. It seems their Diocesan Bishop is cut from the same cloth, if I read it correctly.

My brother graduated from this all boys catholic school in Northern KY. He was harassed and ridiculed to literally within an inch of his life. I see nothings changed. Shame on you @CovCathColonels
