Is neighbour being cheeky?

I'm constantly constantly taking deliveries for next door. Don't really mind, I'm usually home but have a little baby and does get annoying.

Anyway this morning I've had 3 separate deliveries. Last one really annoyed me as I'm trying to settle baby, wouldn't of answer the door but they say me in the window. It's a big massive desk this time.

Anyway said to the driver I'll take it but mentioned I'm fed up of it and this is the last one I'm taking. Driver pointed over to neighbours door and said there's a note on it saying 'leave any parcels with number 17'

And she's been home since and not bothered to come and collect them, she will wait for my husband to bring them round to her.

I know it's not first world issues but I'm no longer answering the door. I've never minded taking her parcels but to write a note on the door I think is a bit cheeky. Do you agree?

That is beyond cheeky! Leave the desk outside, especially if it's going to rain. And put a note up in your window that you're not taking parcels for other houses in the lead up to Christmas.

Don't take anymore parcels in. If a delivery driver knocks clarify the address its for so you don't turn away your own parcels.

Post a note through her door stating if its not picked up in 24 hours you'll assume she doesn't want it and will arrange for it to be disposed of and you will charge her for the privilege.

Don’t take them round. When she comes say please take note down I won’t be taking them it disturbs baby.

It is very cheeky to put a note on the door without asking you first. I would just stop accepting deliveries from now on OP, you've been kind taking them in so far but it's got ridiculous. A desk!

A desk? Who gets a desk delivered to their neighbour!! They are CFs.
Put a note on your door saying "only accepting parcels for this address".

Can you see their door from your property? Next time they put up a note, remove it. Should the driver still try to deliver it to you, simply say that you're not taking their parcels anymore.

Tape another note under it saying, "don't bother your arse."

Don’t get DH to take it to her, let her come to collect and tell her you will no longer be taking in parcels.

I would also ask them to take their note down. I would politely explain that while you don't mind taking in the odd delivery when it is 3 deliveries in one day it is too much and is disturbing your baby.

Annoying but leave them at yours until she collects, your husband shouldn't have to take them to her.
Note on your door saying deliveries for this address only, will not accept for other properties.

It's good to get on with your neighbours so I wouldn't fall out with them but I would put a note on your door saying baby asleep - please don't knock or ring bell for parcels. I would also not get your husband to take them round - she can come and pick up (I'd text if you have her number)

Thanks, I'm really really frustrated me. I've been out and looked at it and even the note sounds rude. She's underlined 'number 17' about 5 times. She's barely even speaks to me. She will chat to dh but not me....don't know why as I'm a lovely person lol

The only reason I've been answering is my dss main Xmas present has gone missing in the post so I'm answering it praying it's that.....but nope it's a 'rustic desk'

Don't take it round!! Wait for her to come and get it, and when she does, use furry's suggestion, which I think makes the point more politely than she deserves.

I think that would be illegal

Stick a note on tourown door saying No deliveries for Number 17 or what ever therpir house number is. That way you can still take the odd delivery for anyone other neighbours - skways wise to be helpguk to non piss takets in case you ever need to ask a neighbour to tske in a parcel for you but stops nextdoor taking the piss.

And I'll make sure we don't take it round. Though it's bloomin frustrating as all her crap is cluttering up my hall way

You KNOW she's being a cheeky fucker. You didn't need to ask us. But you also didn't need to enable her but taking in yet another parcel, especially a large one. You should have outright refused.

That's really cheeky, yes. I do a lot of online shopping but I'm not always in - I've told the company I use most that they are not to leave parcels with the neighbours and that works well; if I don't hear the door then they leave it in the porch and if I'm out they just come back the next day.
