To think Harry and Meghan’s photo is odd looking?!

Just having a look at the royal family Christmas card pics. Very nice. Love William and Kate’s family pic. How sweet are those kids 😍

Lots of people on Twitter raving about Meghan and Harry’s photo. I genuinely really like Harry and Meghan. Nothing against them whatsoever.

But I absolutely refuse to believe that i am alone in thinking their photo is so awkward looking!

She looks stunning and the background is amazing but it just looks weird! I think it’s the way he’s standing. It’s not elegant. It looks really odd to me.

Anyone else??

I'm sure the middletons do use expensive skin care but it's probably some kind of expensive crap that doesn't work like Crem de la mer. As for posh girls not wearing make up - that's rubbish ime. But only where I live obviously.

KingfordRun · 28/12/2018 10:42

Yes, now, but probably not for decades. It’s not really the done thing for the younger crowd, they laugh at the botoxed or the high maintenance ad they see it. You’re right though, it’s changing. The mid 30s slightly boho UMC lot will see derms but will generally avoid injectables. This means they won’t have the same gloss over 40 the very good ones give which lead people to assume that those that do are naturally blessed.

ElektraLOL · 28/12/2018 11:31

Injectables are so popular now that it's not even a class thing. In fact I don't think it ever was.

I'm just wondering why Kate is always so thin? Is it the pressure of being photographed so much? I've never been a fan of hers but I do think she's to be commended for her obvious diplomacy. It's not easy to be married into the Royal Family and few unions work out. I give Harry & Meghan 5 years and then she'll be back in the states with their children if you ask me.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel

Errm - maybe he doesn't like her as a person?

Erm...very possibly but he should behave appropriately when on duty, no?

CurbsideProphet · 28/12/2018 11:39

I hadn't heard of Megan before the engagement was all over the news. I'm surprised by all this talk of "Hollywood" skincare and behaviours, as wasn't she known as a TV actress which isn't quite the same league as Hollywood?

TwistedStitch · 28/12/2018 11:40

I feel sorry for her ex husband this morning tbh. Apparently he was heartbroken when she left him, and now all of his wedding photos are on the front pages again. He has remained silent and dignified and didn't seek out a high profile role or invite any of this scrutiny.

Most Americans have a lot of procedures if they are well off. My cousin has lived in LA for most of her life and she has all the latest treatments. Americans have an obsession with perfect teeth also.

PineapplePower · 28/12/2018 14:07

Kate definitely had Botox before her first child (there are telltale signs); I think she’s stopped for the time being though, probably because of safety concerns wrt pregnancy and possibly breastfeeding.

Re the photo

What stood out to me was the positioning of the hands

Harry's in twisted behind his back in such a way that even moderate pressure / rotation would invite a submission / tap out. Meghan's hand is in a much more dominant and comfortable position.

AgentJohnson · 29/12/2018 08:22

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Judging by this thread, some mean girls really never grow up.

This thread is bitchyness dressed up as social commentary/ pseudo phycology.

hoodathunkit · 29/12/2018 11:18

I was thinking more of the body mechanics involved than psychology

Although body language can reflect meaning it is also open to misinterpretation. I do find the hand positions interesting, although I have no idea what the couple were trying to convey in the photo

'This thread is bitchyness dressed up as social commentary/ pseudo phycology.'

Yes poor people. I'm sure they feel very bullied Hmm

CarolDanvers · 29/12/2018 14:02

Is that a very wordy way of saying "you're all enjoying a gossip"?

I hold my hands up.

AgentJohnson · 29/12/2018 19:12

Since when does having money and or fame insulate you from people’s nastiness? It seems a piss poor argument to suggest that having one or two of these things gives people a green light.

I can not be the only one who is perplexed by the level of hatred some women have for other women based on very little evidence or just made up shit.. Enlighten me, what’s the pay off?
