To think Harry and Meghan’s photo is odd looking?!

Just having a look at the royal family Christmas card pics. Very nice. Love William and Kate’s family pic. How sweet are those kids 😍

Lots of people on Twitter raving about Meghan and Harry’s photo. I genuinely really like Harry and Meghan. Nothing against them whatsoever.

But I absolutely refuse to believe that i am alone in thinking their photo is so awkward looking!

She looks stunning and the background is amazing but it just looks weird! I think it’s the way he’s standing. It’s not elegant. It looks really odd to me.

Anyone else??

I don't know what you find more plausible - that's up to you.

But personally, what I find plausible is that Meghan Markle, like all public figures - particularly one who lives a very lavish lifestyle through an accident of marriage and heavily subidised by the taxpayer - is going to come in for a large amount of scrutiny. Some of it will be positive, some will not. The fact that her mother is black does not mean that the latter sort of comment is not permissable, however much some might wish it to be so.

I have nothing to add and obviously don’t know the rights or wrongs of this feud, but in her blog, The Tig, MM praised her father for his support and was gushing in her live for her father. So something is not adding up

After the fuck-ups Mr Markle made in the media, I'm going to guess she was massaging the truth on her professional blog for the purposes of seeming wholesome and without emotional baggage.

Which seems fair enough to me. I'm not an expert on this kind of thing, but for us mortals, it's inadvisable to present a CV with sections like:
Interests:
Reading, membership of church choir, going to therapy to deal with the psychological issues from my childhood.

She closed her blog some time ago, not sure when exactly, but definitely prior to her father's 'fuck-ups in the media'.

She was a minor actress, playing the image game. She wasn't important enough for anyone to investigate her exact family background, so she posted what made her sound good.

Fast-forward a few years later, and our minor actress hits it far bigger, fame-wise, than she could have ever expected. As an actress, I'll guess that was a plus for her. Probably not a wallflower so fame and fortune? Yay!

Then journalists sought her family out for some easy copy and they hit it big. Kate Middleton's family rallied around her when she married William, but not so the Markles.

If she'd been able to see into the future, I expect she would have gone for simply omitting any mention of her family on the blog, but she couldn't and didn't.

I’m being dense today as I’m not feeling 100% but are pp saying that all MM criticism is racially motivated? While a lot maybe I don’t think all of it is. KM came in for a lot of criticism & that was not racially motivated. Apologies if I offend anyone.

There's a position that it is all racism, but equally, some may be in denial that there is any racism at all.
