Well, yes, I do agree with Kendzior about Flynn (despite agreeing with PossiblyPFB that for the particular crimes Flynn admitted to, I can see why staying out of jail would be a suitable reward for total co-operation).

Flynn has been a danger to his own country for a while. Kendzior says "the most generous interpretation is that he was out of his mind during his crime spree" – but I'd heard that interpretation of Flynn's behaviour BEFORE Trump came on the scene.

Watching GHWB funeral. DH and I have irreverently made bets on whether or not Scrotus will 1-give someone a thumb's up when walking to or from his seat, 2-will do that stupid & arrogant coat lapel jerk thing, and 3- whether he'll shake hands with Barack.

cozie, pretty much all Scrotus supporters have been excised from our lives with surgical precision. It just got to be too much as, yes, they've all 'drunk the Kool-aid'. My one remaining BFF and I have a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy. But I still believe she's 'pro-Scrotus' out of fear of her husband, not because she truly agrees with his policies.

Watching Bush Senior's funeral, listening to the glowing eulogies, thinking that Trump must feel very small and inadequate in comparison, but actually he doesn't have enough insight for that does he?

I agree pinkground the eulogies highlight how out of place tRump is there... all the talk about how loyal, loving, caring GHWB was, how he put the country, his family and friends at the forefront. All he qualities that trump is not.
And he just sits there with his arms crossed looking like he is hating every minute. He certainly isn't moved like Bill Clinton or the Obamas.

But Trump has laid the foundations for the GOP to get away with changing the rules for incoming Democrats because they don't like having lost. It's disgusting and surely must be illegal, but yet, apparently, isn't, because nobody expected anyone to behave so badly until Trump arrived. (Sorry if that didn't make sense, I'm absolutely fumming (as I saw mistyped somewhere recently) about this complete travesty of democracy.)

The thing is, no one has to make a pointed remark about Scrotus. Just speaking the truth about GHWB is enough of a rebuke in itself.

My own dad was a member of "The Greatest Generation" and the characteristics of that generation are so opposite of everything that Scrotus stands for that it stands out like gold against tin.
