I'm hardly her number one fan but I can't see how getting rid of her is the answer. They just don't seem to know what they're doing. It's an absolute mess whichever way you look at it.

Please play that video of Michael Gove falling over.

BrendasUmbrella · 15/11/2018 16:05

As soon as Boris, JRM and the others start to see a light at the end of the tunnel they'll be fighting to get rid of May and enjoy taking a shot at being the hero who saves our country. I can see it coming from 100 miles away.

VanillaSugary · 15/11/2018 16:06

Sorry.

OutPinked · 15/11/2018 16:06

I agree and have found myself sympathising with her slightly in recent months. She has inherited the shit storm and is doing her best with what was always an impossibly foolish decision.

I don’t like her whatsoever btw but to blame Brexit issues on a staunch remainer is absurd.

puffyisgood · 15/11/2018 16:10

certainly not her fault, it was an impossible job.

but i hardly 'feel sorry' for her - she knew what she was getting into, wouldn't have got the top job in any other circumstances, will draw a former PM's pension in retirement, etc.

MrsTommyBanks · 15/11/2018 16:13

Anyone but Ress-Mogg

FlowersAndHerts · 15/11/2018 16:13

will draw a former PM's pension in retirement
I really don't begrudge her that.

awaynboilyurheid · 15/11/2018 16:16

Cannot understand how Cameron got away with this shit show. I absolutely despise him for the mess he has landed my country in. I am no fan of TM but another one who has some sympathy for her at least she is trying to sort it out whilst Dave has disappeared.

AngeloMysterioso · 15/11/2018 16:20

Bring back David Cameron and him clear up the shitstorm he created.

ChicagoLil · 15/11/2018 16:21

I think TM should resign, flick up a finger, say "I did my best, you lily livered wankers" and retire to Barbados. JRM and Boris can then pick up the mess they created and let's see how they like it then.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 15/11/2018 16:25

She's doing pretty well I'd say. She's trying to steer a middle course with everyone on all side dropping grenades at her. That she hasn't sunk is remarkable in itself.

Like others I blame David Cameron or calling the stupid referendum and opening up the current woulds in the country and Boris Johnson for making hard Brexit socially acceptable (prior to that was only supported by Nigel Farrage).

SmashedPatsy · 15/11/2018 16:28

Stop Brexit. We can have another referendum when the Leavers get their fucking act together and can actually put forward something resembling a plan. The current situation is probably the biggest shambles in the history of our democracy.

awaynboilyurheid · 15/11/2018 16:32

Dear God please don't bring back the smarmy git he would only try to take credit for it all once someone else has desperately tried to sort it out The pm job was totally beyond his meagre capabilities anyway, such a twat.

Grasslands123 · 15/11/2018 16:32

I feel sorry for her. The job was a poisoned chalice. No one actual wants to be PM. I think they are all hoping we crash out (including Corbyn). If she’d been a man she would have had a “health crisis” by now and left...

I think Cameron is a coward for leaving, but I also don’t think you can blame him personally for this. The referendum act passed 555-43 in the Houses of Parliament. Most MPs voted for us to have a referendum. The Act included the question to be asked.

Everyone just though their side would win...

dawnacorns · 15/11/2018 16:36

Boris Johnson for making hard Brexit socially acceptable (prior to that was only supported by Nigel Farrage).
That's true. Remember when UKIP used to seem kind of a joke. Now it is our hideous reality.

The current situation is probably the biggest shambles in the history of our democracy. I agree

This man's face makes my skin crawl.

I too think she should bugger off into the sunset, and let this shower have a crack at it.

Funnily enough, none of them are interested in doing anything more than whining and bleating from the sidelines.

BloobCurdling · 15/11/2018 16:58

It's not that she's got a good outcome - she hasn't, because literally no one could. Of course it's a bad deal. That's the whole point of the EU - you get a better deal when you're in it. Given the Ireland situation as it is, and the fact that the Brexit necessarily involves losing out in so many ways, there is no way to do this satisfactorily. What she has done well is stuck it out, kept on trying, dealt with an endless parade of twattish ministers trying to undermine her, and kept some kind of show on the road against all odds.

I think she did want to be PM, it was her lifelong ambition, and she has a genuine sense of duty to her country. (It's a shame she has to be a Tory really - same for Ruth Davidson)

She was cool today ; I'm not a fan but she got through that grilling this morning with her head held high. I m no Tory but she was impressive.
Waiting to hear her speak now.

ILovePierceBrosnan · 15/11/2018 17:17

vandrew4
garnished with the red NHS promise bus
why is this always brought up? I don't know anyone who read that as all that money would go to the NHS

I think it’s because the campaign included these signs on bus and billboards.

No fan of hers however I shudder to think of the snakes lurking in the wings hoping to grab the job. It’s an inevitable disaster.

SilentIsla · 15/11/2018 17:18

She’s a disaster.

Notwiththeseknees · 15/11/2018 17:19

I'd rather have Dave back than any of the current contenders. Particularly as it's his fault we're in this sorry mess, he can sort it out again.

Really? I wouldn't trust that pie-faced wobble to sort his own socks out, disgusting, back-stabbing, slimy toad.

Notwiththeseknees · 15/11/2018 17:20

^ *womble obviously
