To think Cheryl Tweedy is talking nonsense

Workreturner · 14/11/2018 12:46

In the Sunday Times interview.

Talking about her 19 month old son.
“I would spend every breathing moment with him and not do anything else”

Really?

I mean I adore my two children. And genuinely enjoy spending time with them.

But “every breathing moment”, no. And not do anything else? No

Why do these celebs do this?! Always so OTT about parenting. Is it to make themselves feel better or to make others feel inferior??

There are so many sticks you could bash her with and you choose this? How strange

Wouldthishappen · 14/11/2018 12:48

Is she talking about when he was a newborn/small baby. Fair enough that's what I did too. Don't think it makes or should make anyone feel inferior. Just the way it is when they're little.

Definitely don't want to spend every second of the day with them now though!

HarrietKettleWasHere · 14/11/2018 12:48

It’s because she doesn’t have to spend every breathing moment with him that she can say shit like this.

Wouldthishappen · 14/11/2018 12:50

Why is it shit though? I really don't understand. Why shouldn't she want to do that? Why shouldn't she say that?

Workreturner · 14/11/2018 12:51

@araiwa

What on earth are you going on about?

I’m not bashing her
I have no desire to bash her
And you refer to so many sticks to bash her with but I think she seems a generally pleasant person and I can’t see much to bash her about!

@Wouldthishappen

She’s talking about her 19 month old.

Gorgeous age in so many respect. Bloody hard work though!

OP posts:
HarrietKettleWasHere · 14/11/2018 12:52

Because literally every breathing moment would be never sleeping, never taking a shower, never doing a shit, never eating unless you’re attatched to your baby at all times.

I can’t say that appeals to me but each to their own.

eniledam · 14/11/2018 12:53

cough racist toilet incident cough

Workreturner · 14/11/2018 12:53

@HarrietKettleWasHere

Good point

Doyoumind · 14/11/2018 12:53

I don't think it's nonsense. Each to their own. I loved time with my DC at that age and still do.

Gardai · 14/11/2018 12:54

If I’d had a live in nanny/help I’d say that

DanielRicciardosSmile · 14/11/2018 12:55

Nice for her that she can "not do anything else". Meanwhile, in the real world, there's other things that need to be done.

SaucyJack · 14/11/2018 12:55

Sounds like the talk of the recently-dumped, rather than anything to do with her celeb status to me.

It’s not that far from the “Don’t need a man. Just me and my babies now Huns.” statuses you see on FB.

PestoSurfissimos · 14/11/2018 12:55

And of course she can’t spend every moment with him anyway since splitting up. Liam will have separate access to his child, thus free-ing up Chez even more.

ems137 · 14/11/2018 12:56

I spend almost every breathing moment with my youngest children and I yearn for time away from them. I bet she's the opposite. She has to spend time apart for work and so she wishes she was at home with baby. I know I felt similarly when I worked full time when my oldest 2 were small

Titsywoo · 14/11/2018 12:56

I opened this thread assuming you would be talking about the bullshit she is spouting about her face changing due to childbirth. How?!

araiwa · 14/11/2018 12:57

You started a thread about her talking nonsense without wanting to bash her?

Lmao yeah right

MawkishTwaddle · 14/11/2018 12:58

She reckons childbirth changed her face, doesn't she?

I'm just amazed she managed to give birth using her face. She's a medical marvel. Or did the midwife go to the wrong end of the bed by mistake?

We should be told.

AngeloMysterioso · 14/11/2018 13:00

I think she seems a generally pleasant person and I can’t see much to bash her about

I think the toilet attendant she beat the crap out of would beg to differ.

dinosaurglitterrepublic · 14/11/2018 13:00

Careful OP, on thise site it seems most posters can’t bear to be apart from their young children for five minutes... although god help them once they turn 18 as then they are adults and on their own.*

* warning, this post contains massive generalisations

Loyaultemelie · 14/11/2018 13:00

Good grief she can have my snotty, coughing Velcro 3.5 year old if she wants I seem to have her every minute and can't do anything else except MN this week. (Joking dd2 I wouldn't actually part with you, except to go to the loo)

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 14/11/2018 13:01

You do realise she doesn't actually mean it OP? Confused

Wkbeans · 14/11/2018 13:04

She's just declaring how much utter love she feels now she's a mum. As most mums do when they have their first, and it's not a literal thing saying every second because that's just silly but probably means every second possible. And whys that shit? Just cos you obviously didn't have that strong maternal feeling you can't say she doesn't either?!

OuchLegoHurts · 14/11/2018 13:05

Oh if she meant it she'd be doing it!

Eh, she's not.

PrimalLass · 14/11/2018 13:08

This is a strange thing to bash her for.

I was pretty obsessed with my two at that age - they were at peak cuteness.
