To think Cheryl Tweedy is talking nonsense

Workreturner · 14/11/2018 12:46

In the Sunday Times interview.

Talking about her 19 month old son.
“I would spend every breathing moment with him and not do anything else”

Really?

I mean I adore my two children. And genuinely enjoy spending time with them.

But “every breathing moment”, no. And not do anything else? No

Why do these celebs do this?! Always so OTT about parenting. Is it to make themselves feel better or to make others feel inferior??

The incident with her past. Some people grow up in areas where a scrap fight is almost a right of passage. In my sisters area people regularly fight.
She grew up people do.

LittleLionMansMummy · 14/11/2018 15:49

liitleliondid you not read my posts, i clearly said i don’t blame her for wanting to. I said it was the hypocrisy.

Yes, I agree context is everything. So why have you ignored the rest of the quote Birdsgottafly refers to? What hypocrisy are you referring to, if you read the rest of the quote, in context?

Darfally · 14/11/2018 15:51

@ThatssomebadhatHarry Oh ffs it’s just a turn of phrase. Taking it literally is an odd response.

I'm not a fan at all but this thread is ridiculous.

This^

So people are quick to defend someone who was convicted of a violent racist attack, but keen to attack as “bitchy” those of us who dare to mention it. Fine, i think that says more about you than anything else. Cheryl Cole isn’t in need of your defence, the real bitchiness on here is from women towards other women on here. I always find it strange how people are so keen to defend celebrities but are so ready to be nasty to ordinary people who don’t fall for all their hype. Going now, got better things to do with my time.

mumto2babyboys · 14/11/2018 15:56

I don't really like Cheryl 'new name every year'
But I do feel sorry for her!

Can't be easy having your heartbroken by so many men so publicly and getting married and let down. No one gets married thinking I'll be divorced this time next year.

She took Ashley back and gave him another chance and he still cheated again.

Also her face, she's had surgery but despite weighing about 7 stone and just being happy to lose the baby weight, she must feel really insecure to have plastic surgery and she would have had to have a psychiatric consult before the surgeon went ahead in case she sued him after. But she still went ahead with it and tbf her cheeks look terrible

mumto2babyboys · 14/11/2018 16:00

Don't believe she is mum of the year like she is claiming but she has at least not exposed bear and earned magazine money from her child like lots of celebs do

LittleLionMansMummy · 14/11/2018 16:03

I've not called you or anyone else bitchy borderline. And for the record, I'll defend any woman/ mum - on here and in real life, celebrity or not - who is being targeted about her parenting/ work choices. It just so happens this is a high profile case.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 14/11/2018 16:04

I've never understood the whole "I need to be with my baby 24/7" thing.

It isn't healthy for either the mum or child.

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 14/11/2018 16:09

Aw, poor old Chezza, cut her some slack. I'm no fan of hers but looking at her relationship history, I reckon she's just been desperate for someone to love and for someone to love her back. Now she has that and I, for one, wish her continued happiness.

petbear · 14/11/2018 16:17

Bye then @borderline11. You go off and do the 'far more important things you need to do' with your time. yawn.... Leave the sensible discussions to the grown ups! (I am sure this thread will survive without your toxic posts......)

Littlecaf · 14/11/2018 16:18

Because if she didn’t say this, the tabloids would trash her. She has to say this, it’s better than what she’s likely really thinking.

mumto2babyboys · 14/11/2018 16:19

Yeah. I do feel sorry for her. It's a lot of hassle changing your name and she obviously hoped each marriage would work out

Liam said at one point they were going to get married

He travels non stop and he moved on really fast it must be hard to be in a relationship when your oh is gone most of the time.

Surely he could have waited 6 months and stayed home with them and not released new music and then had to promote it just after they've had a baby.

He was in 1d so it's not like he needed the extra fame or extra money

Mellodrama · 14/11/2018 16:21

@Workreturner I completely see your point! Another 'celeb' who is probably in the running for 'Mum of the Yead' Hmm

Probably has 24-7 nannies, yet doesn't do everything herself, so she's trying to cover the guilt.

Sorry, but these comments that these 'have-it-all-celebs' make really fucking frustrate me - wouldn't we all love to be in the position to do that and nothing else? HmmAngry

mumto2babyboys · 14/11/2018 16:29

No one knows the ins and outs of their custody agreement but surely she will be getting child support and mega amounts.

She doesn't have to work ever again probably but for some reason she likes miming on live tv

Osirus · 14/11/2018 16:43

I agree with her, absolutely. I love being with my toddler and hate leaving her. Sometimes I feel like the only person on the planet who thoroughly enjoys time with their toddler.

I found 1-2 such a cute age. I dreaded going back to work after 14 months off and I still only work two days Grin.

I would say what Cheryl said, so I can absolutely believe it. It’s nice to hear others actually like being around young children. Yes, they’re hard work, but absolutely incredible at the same time.

small2018 · 14/11/2018 16:45

I agree with her. I'm like that with my DS.

MargotLovedTom1 · 14/11/2018 16:47

Well whaddya know - that's pretty much what Cheryl T said in the expanded quote provided by birdsgottafly.

SparklyMagpie · 14/11/2018 17:05

@HopeHopity THANK YOU!!! someone else who agrees, I'm thinking about get some hypnotherapy as I appear to have developed a phobia of them Shock

Gingerrogered · 14/11/2018 17:18

Cheryl is a woman of extremely limited talent who has made an awful lot of money out of exploiting her personal life, projecting an image which by all accounts has very little to do with reality. She was finished until Ashley Cole cheated on her, and she's deliberately created a 'pooooor lil me' persona she has ruthlessly exploited since then as it appeals to a certain type of woman who makes up her fan base.

Of course 'Strong single mumma who just luvs her bubba was going to be the logical next step for her image.

Far from being the vulnerable working class girl whose never forgotten her roots, apparently in reality she is a ruthlessly ambitious business woman and ferocious networker who is happy to exploit people until she gets what she wants then drop them.

She can do what she wants, I don't care. But her career is based on her personal life and perceived personality. If people are daft enough to buy into what is clearly carefully created PR puff with little relationship to reality, that's their lookout. But they must be very credulous.

ButchyRestingFace · 14/11/2018 17:24

Why do these celebs do this?! Always so OTT about parenting. Is it to make themselves feel better or to make others feel inferior??

She has (predictably) split up with her latest victim, the much younger --boyf. As PP have stated, she's trying to put a positive spin on the situation.

As for making others feel inferior, I really doubt she gives the hoi polloi a passing thought, much less intentionally try to make them feel bad.

Didn't know she'd gone back to Tweedy though. Grin

mumto2babyboys · 14/11/2018 18:46

If her career is based on her personal life how come she isn't using bear then? She could have made a fortune from him this last year had her own reality tv show and endless magazine covers by putting him in the public eye.

She cant sing though, but most put together bands they are all chosen for their looks.

I think she gets treated like crap by men,

Liam basically left her and bear over and over while he was promoting his own music and traveling the world but he could have waited to release it and he didn't need the money or the fame and does he even see his kid?

Doesn't seem to be too bothered does he

and she's so insecure she has totally gone too far with the fillers and ruined her face and weight loss is extreme yet again.
she must barely eat.

EmeraldShamrock · 14/11/2018 19:11

I disagree her career is based on her personal life, probably other peoples interest in her personal life. She comes across as a private person to me. She became the nations sweetheart as a judge on the Xfactor. Previously her fame was manufactured girls aloud.
I do love Cheryl. Not for her singing but she seems warm and sometimes vulnerable.

SaveSundays · 14/11/2018 19:20

Someone was saying just yesterday she's gone back to just, 'Cheryl' no Tweedy Hmm.

AngeloMysterioso · 14/11/2018 19:59

Can't be easy having your heartbroken by so many men so publicly and getting married and let down.

She became “the nation’s sweetheart” after Ashley Cole cheated on her and it made most of the general public warm to her pretty face and heartbroken Geordie girl next door persona, and conveniently forget that she’s a violent thug, so she seems to have done alright out of that one.

After that, well... nobody forced her to marry a man she’d known for just 3 months.

Nobody forced her to get pregnant by a 22 year old guy who she’d been with for (again) just 3 months.

Fair play to her though, she picked the richest of the lot to get pregnant by. She’s set up for life now!

Raffles1981 · 14/11/2018 20:33

EmeraldShamrock
I think she waited a long time for him. Man after man not working out for her.
I am truly delighted she is a mam now.

She basically used an immature man child to get the baby she has always wanted, then engineered it so he is the bad guy and she is the deserted single mother. She's a manipulative, awful woman and I don't see how she got two men to marry her.
