Daily Fail story here
21 babies! That's some achievement. I cannot believe her body is still in one piece. I feel sorry for those kids though. There's absolutely no way they can all have the individual attention they need growing up. Four kids maybe, perhaps 6 at an absolute push but 21 seems like collecting trophies for a hobby to me. It'd be interesting to see what families those children decide to have when the time comes. It seems like she's putting her own want for babies ahead of her existing children's wellbeing & that isn't healthy. I'm curious that she's practically guaranteed herself an endless supply of babies as her children have children. But they're supposedly paying for everything themselves so we're not allowed to say anything against them. I don't agree with it. Tell me I'm being U.

@zzzzz

Presumably the children are safer in their rooms than wandering around a ten bed house in the night?

😱

Gileswithachainsaw · 11/11/2018 19:25

So you don't agree with what they do but you still think they are ok parents?

How does that work then?

Gileswithachainsaw · 11/11/2018 19:26

Because what you are disagreeing with is not just a different way of parenting. Bit actual abuse amd neglect

Well Bluelady it wasn't you the comment was aimed at, but it was you who jumped to conclusions.

Fallingout · 11/11/2018 19:29

@zzzzz

@Bluelady I think the idea is everyone s8ngs from the same hymn sheet. Responses are supposed to be negative, not neutral and certainly not positive. 2 children is acceptable, with maximum coaching, clubs and being on time. Anything else is abuse.

Lots of comments have been from large families. Lots of people actively don’t think homework is a great idea. Lots of people don’t think you need to be a tiger parent.
But if you have so many children you are always late and you have to lock them in their bedrooms there is something we can all agree is not ok.

mrsjackrussell · 11/11/2018 19:30

Good luck to them. Surely its their choice to have all these children. They all look healthy and clean. How do we know if their not happy and not getting enough attention. For all we know their lives could be very fulfilled.
I think if people are so worried about the environment then do your own bit and don't have any children.

Thesearmsofmine · 11/11/2018 19:31

At about six weeks old we start to put them to bed upstairs on their own without a dummy so they learn to settle and go to sleep, putting them to bed without a dummy helps them go into a deeper sleep, they will cry for attention but just try not to go back in and comfort them,

From the blog that someone linked earlier. Tells me everything I need to know about their parenting really along with locking children in their room at night.

QuilliamCakespeare · 11/11/2018 19:35

Utterly selfish couple. Those poor children, they must just feel like a number. They can't possibly have their emotional needs met by parents stretched so thin. The kids are essentially raising each other,

Anyone who believes that two human adults could give their 21 children all the attention they need are deluded I'm afraid. It's not possible, there aren't enough hours in the day and I'm reasonably sure the parents wouldn't cope mentally with emotionally supporting that many.

Gileswithachainsaw · 11/11/2018 19:43

Yes and any other even small family would be told that they were lazy selfish and irresponsible if they weren't getting their kids to school on time.

So kids just turn up as and when do they? No one thinks it's a problem when people are consistently late in a very regular basis.
Parents are berated on here for even thinking about taking their kids out for one day a week befire the summer holidays to see family who are dying , and yet in order to defend two idiots who can't look after their own kids without siblings having to be parents you are saying it's ok to be late to school all the time and disrupt all the other children

Because for some reason there now seems to be a trend for making tv shows about People being idiots or exploiting the vulnerable or stupid.

Honey boo boo
90 day fiance
Kids and counting etc

We have our version of kids and ckubtimh obviously.

I don't know about the fiance one.

Honey boo boo was American.

We have nore of a tendency to just stick people on chat shows like Jeremy Kyle and follow people who keep breeding .

It's exploitive . And given there arebt placements for children who are in immediate danger I doubt SS would move in to such high profile cases . Nothing really happened when the duggars were exposed for blanket training or when the oldest son was found to have been abusing the sisters. They dropped the tv show but the spin off is still going. No police charges either I don't think.

You gotta wonder how they seem to manage it really.

Horrendous. Kids bringing up kids whilst she revels in pregnancy/birth/newborn until she’s bored enough to do it again. Hmm

PatchworkElmer · 11/11/2018 20:16

My take on this- I had severe HG in pregnancy with DS, and have been advised that there’s a high chance I’d have it again in future pregnancies.

My view is that it would cause him so much upset to have a mother who wasn’t ‘present’ for 40 weeks (bed bound mostly), that we’re not having any more children. My responsibility is to DS as the child I have, and I won’t put my own hopes for more children ahead of him.

And I’m nowhere near as high risk as Sue Radford. I really hope they don’t have any more, because it would be awful for those children if anything happened to her.

I am also doubtful about whether the Radfords can give each child the attention they need.

mydogisthebest · 11/11/2018 20:17

mrsjackrussell, well of course it is their choice to have so many children. A very selfish choice though. Good job every couple in the UK isn't as stupid or selfish.

I think in terms of the environment and overpopulation it is very very wrong and, for your information, me and DH chose to be child free because of our concerns about both. I guess the Radfords are too moronic to even think about it

PavlovaFaith · 11/11/2018 20:18

All I read from this is that she was raped at 14.

Now she's trapped by perpetual pregnancies.
