Daily Fail story here
21 babies! That's some achievement. I cannot believe her body is still in one piece. I feel sorry for those kids though. There's absolutely no way they can all have the individual attention they need growing up. Four kids maybe, perhaps 6 at an absolute push but 21 seems like collecting trophies for a hobby to me. It'd be interesting to see what families those children decide to have when the time comes. It seems like she's putting her own want for babies ahead of her existing children's wellbeing & that isn't healthy. I'm curious that she's practically guaranteed herself an endless supply of babies as her children have children. But they're supposedly paying for everything themselves so we're not allowed to say anything against them. I don't agree with it. Tell me I'm being U.

For gods sake 21 children? Sorry but that’s utterly ridiculous, the media need to stop feeding the family with attention.

I honestly don’t see how you can parent that many children, I’m aware some are adults but the majority aren’t.

Thesearmsofmine · 10/11/2018 16:36

And do course the younger children won’t be eligible for tax credits anyway as born after the cut off so they need to keep making money from tv and newspapers.

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 16:40

In devout Christian and Muslim faiths the older children always take care of the younger children

It's part of being a family surely

I don't see anything wrong with the older children doing that but in today's generation of snowflakes I can also see how much responsibility their older children must have as carers

Compared to normal teenagers today who don't have anyone to care for

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 10/11/2018 16:41

Yes indeed Mystic
My understanding (from previous threads) is that the kids don't get help with reading or homework. Like you say they pick up the slack re childcare, I doubt they are involved in other activities such as Brownies, clubs, musical instruments.
What kind of existence is that , meanwhile she's making front page news as 'Supermum'
I don't think so.

Thesearmsofmine · 10/11/2018 16:43

@mumto2babyboys you don’t seee anything wrong with one of the daughters dropping out of uni to go home and help her mum with the younger siblings?

AngeloMysterioso · 10/11/2018 16:44

Just had a thought- she’s going to have had free dental care for almost all of her teenage/adult life as well. I’m sitting here with teeth like Swiss cheese because I can’t afford even NHS dental prices. And I don’t have any kids yet because we can’t afford those either.

If the Radfords didn’t get tax credits, child benefit, tv/magazine payments and all their free shit which they get given just for existing, and literally had to support themselves from their bakery income alone, would they now have 21 children?

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 16:46

She's an adult and lots of 18/19 year olds drop out of uni

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 16:48

I would just love someone to post some facts. Some evidence and not just hearsay

What was the Name of the blog she said she claimed tax credits on. Has to be a record of it somewhere even just in a library

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 16:48

Also I do not agree with 21 children it's madness. Just would like to know if they supported them like they said or it they have lied to everyone?

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 10/11/2018 16:49

What to help mum look after a load of kids?Hmm

Sugarformyhoney · 10/11/2018 16:50

She doesn’t come across as particularly bright- I’ve often wondered if she has a learning disability of some kind?
Anyway that amount of children is outrageous regardless of benefits- they all use Drs, schools etc.
When interviewed, her kids have clearly said they don’t want another sibling. Every time the fuss dies down and the TV offers stop coming in she produces another baby. It’s just horrible.

Thesearmsofmine · 10/11/2018 16:53

She's an adult and lots of 18/19 year olds drop out of uni

Because they are worried their mum can’t manage with all their siblings? That should have horrified her parents and made them realise what they were doing to those kids, instead they shrugged and carried on popping out more babies.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 10/11/2018 16:54

This

NOTthepinkranger · 10/11/2018 16:55

Mum2tobabyboys calling people snowflakes in regards to this is actually ridiculous

Fallingout · 10/11/2018 16:57

@mumto2babyboys why on earth do you want links and evidence, this wasn’t secret info. I’d imagine did to the very basic style of blog and lack of any punctuation or grammar they were told to take it down so that they were more marketable and could have greater earning power on social media. It’s not been dreamt up by those of us who read it. But it does go against years of being promoted as a family who weee completely self sufficient

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/11/2018 17:04

“Snowflake”
The insult of choice of the hard of thinking

SecretWitch · 10/11/2018 17:07

I can’t understand the compulsion to have 21 children. It cannot be good for either mum or all those children. I really do think the older siblings pay the price

Deadringer · 10/11/2018 17:15

21 children from one woman has never been normal. Before contraception was invented mother and child mortality rates were very high, so if a woman had lots of babies most of them died, and eventually she did too. I am in my 50s and from a huge family, not 21 but not far off and from good old Catholic Ireland and I have only once in my life met anyone from a similar sized family. Believe me it is not much fun living in a big family most of the time. Yes nowadays most children probably get too much attention but to get almost none from your parents once you are no longer a baby is abusive. Being cared for by older siblings is just not the same and the effects last a lifetime. Ime it causes lack of confidence, low self esteem and a lifetime of never feeling good enough, and never feeling really, properly loved. At least my poor mum, who did her best for us in very difficult circumstances, would never have been selfish enough to actually choose to have more kids than she could properly care for and love. I feel for those children, every one of them.

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 17:15

There has to be some copy of it somewhere if you guys aren't lying

NOTthepinkranger · 10/11/2018 17:20

Mumto are you Sue 🙄

Zeb81 · 10/11/2018 17:24

Gosh you lot are vile and judgmental

huggybear · 10/11/2018 17:26

Someone needs to help her.

There's so many things wrong about this - firstly the unbelievably dodgy ages of the first one - why was that ever allowed?

The massive drain on services and the environment. I feel sorry for her to be honest.

Roussette · 10/11/2018 17:28

Deadringer Spot on

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/11/2018 17:38

I don't care if they get benefits (CTC and CB either.)However I hate the way they're hailed as Saints and Heros who don't claim a penny. I'm sorry but I find that very hard to believe from running a local pie shop.
I know they won'tget anything for the new baby due to the babies born after April 2017 two child cut off.

Bluelady · 10/11/2018 17:40

What a vile nasty thread.

Do those of you frothing about any benefits this family might receive really think a fascist paper like the Fail wouldn't stick the knife in if there was a whiff of benefit fraud?

This site is crammed with people who divorce at the drop of a hat or don't bother to marry at all, have kids with multiple partners, despise their stepchildren, use their children to score points over their exes, spout vitriol about their MiLs and go NC with their families. All of this is apparently absolutely fine.

But get a married couple who have been together almost 30 years, provided a home for their kids who all appear to be well fed, clothed and healthy and the judgemental ire of MN rains down on their heads. I reckon those kids stand a pretty good chance of being decent human beings and let's face it, we need as many of those as we can lay pur hands on.
